- ❤️ This is the story of Missy and Felix, a now heavily pregnant, tortoiseshell and a tuxedo tom. They were abandoned by their owner and left to fend for themselves in an already saturated area of stray cats. They were always together. Neither were spayed or neutered. It led to a chain of events that could have easily been avoided, had the owner just cared.❤️
This is a re-edited version with new footage and up to date cat images.

Asides from irresponsible breeding, a lot of pet owners don't bother to spay or neuter their pets too, resulting in so many cats and dogs born into a life of hardship and misery. Innocent animals shouldn't have to suffer for the mistakes of people.

Few things piss me off more than people who treat their pets like disposable toys. I adopted 9 cats over a period of 15 years, 2 of which have already passed away. Nearly all were abandoned by their previous owners. They've brought me so much joy and I feel like they will never live long enough. Thank you for helping these poor babies.

Just love that you are doing so much for the cats. They don’t have a voice and can do little to fend for themselves against cruel humans. All I can say is thank you for spreading awareness n good vibes about rescuing our feline friends, whom most people regard as “ just animals “. And before i forget, hello from Malaysia.. Currently fostering two adult girls rescued half dead from a colony outside (kind of mission impossible ..imagine socializing an 8 yo that lived outside her whole life with next to none human contact and a 4 yo that fears her own shadow..🤦♀️..but I am trying)and a mom with four kittens that someone left in a taped shoebox heavily pregnant in front of my door ..
I didn't even have to respond a call to go get her or see up a trap,now they deliver them to me,kind of a feline Amazon..still better than the other pregnant cat they hurled in my backyard breaking her paw and killing three of her five kittens..😩

Rescue work is both heartbreaking and rewarding. I woke up this morning pinned down. I had one of my rescue cats on one side of me, a big ginger and white boy and my legs were pinned down by my last rescue, a semi-feral/stray boy I rescued 18 months ago. Neighbour had been feeding him then moved away. I took over feeding him. He disappeared for several weeks then turned up with an injured leg and very skinny. Caught him on the Saturday. By the Thursday he was neutered, his leg fixed (turned out to be an abscess and not a fracture as we feared) and microchipped. He is now a gorgeous, healthy, shiny black cat. I dread to think what might have happened to him had we not caught him. All my cats are indoor cats and he adapted really well.
To all cat owners in the UK and prospective cat owners. *As of 10th June 2024 ALL cats must be microchipped and details kept up-to-date* . Failure to do so will result in a fine of up to £500.

@@rescuecatsmanchester He's so worth it. He's chosen my adult son as "his human" and follows him all over the house. I don't think he's forgiven me for having his "manly" bits removed - except when I've got a tasty treat he wants then he's my furry friend for life 🤣
Thank you for helping cats. I love cats they are number 1 passion in my life. In Woodbury, Minnesota cats and dogs are treated better. Thanks for saving their lives, i had no idea that people would intentionally abuse cats just for fun.

Missy and Tilly resemble two of my former kitties, Bitty and Rufus, respectively. Bitty was a an abused kitten I rescued while stationed in Okinawa in the mid-1980's, malnourished and with both eyes damaged so badly they needed to be removed, but she didn't let that get in her way of living her best cat life. Unfortnately she also had severe hip displaysia and a tendency for continuing respiratory infections as a result of the malnourishment. The original vet told me she wouldn't live more than a year, but she was with us for 7, happy and loving and playful the entire time. Rufus was an earlier sweet-natured boy from the mid 1970's adopted while I was stationed in North Carolina. He was my sould-mate kitty to the chagrin of my husband, whose military boots he would scratch up in the closet but never touched mine. I still miss them and every fur baby that's been part of my life.
You gave Bitty and Rufus wonderful lives ❤

Lots of neglected strays no one really seems to care about, rats, people who will 'inflict unbelievable cruelty' on animals, sounds like a lovely area -- but thank you for caring -- you're a wonderful person

Thank you so much for chipping away at the almost impossible task of litter control and finding homes for these beautiful creatures. Seems the world could do with a lot more useful jobs like you are doing rather than another insurance or toaster salesperson. More animal rescuers and litter control agents of goodwill seems much more productive and practical to me. And of course they deserve more pay than greedy money traders ever have!
I agree with you. More people would be able to rescue, if their costs were at least covered. It's sad that rescuers don't get paid ❤
@@rescuecatsmanchester vet bills and feed are out of control here in the States. I know that’s a problem everywhere and for every expense we face in life now. I think if greed was more socially shamed and legally regulated we would see the already proven from historical results that a far greater amount of cash would then circulate amongst lower or middle income people everywhere than now. With more disposable income in the pockets of the masses no doubt there would be a lot more homeless animals folks would be willing to bring home to make them a part of their families, I know I would.

I commented a couple months ago regarding my situation trying to rehabilitate and rehome my neighbor’s seven cats. You told me working with traumatized cats just takes time. You were exactly right. I spent hours for months working with the cats, focusing on them one at a time. Happy to report six have been placed and the seventh is awaiting adoption at a no kill shelter. Thank you for keeping me motivated by your videos. You are truly an inspiration. ❤

our home it is for life, never give you up for anything! our oldest is 19 years, youngest 7years. the 4
will be with us and in our hearts always! people who dump pets should be jailed! you cannot do that

You do so much good, too bad there are not enough shelters. I live in the US, in a small town, lucky that there are very few homeless animals and we have a nice shelter that is rearly full to capacity. The most cats they get are from pregnant farm cats at the start of warmer season. They get spayed.

They have all been adopted into loving homes ❤ Looking at them now, it's sad to think how they were unlikely to survive if born outside.
@@rescuecatsmanchester We have a rescue cat, ourselves. Shortly after we moved into our new home, a 9-week-old kitten just showed up crying in the brush at the end of our driveway. As soon as my husband picked him up, he would not leave my husband’s side.
I’ll always wonder how he got here. Did a person abandon him? Was he a stowaway that jumped out nearby? (He loves climbing into cars.) Did his mother drop him off when she got pregnant with a new litter?
