The way she taps on the couch for cuddles…oh my heart how adorable.
It brought tears in my eyes, remembering my first cat that was a rescue cat from the animal shelter. When we went to the shelter he immediately wanted to come with us and we had him for about 10 years. I can still remember the sound of him jumping on the leather sofa where I was napping and coming to sleep on my belly, purring, making fists and drooling my shirt wet 😂 When he got struck by a car and died, I had a year lasting depression. And the strangest thing was that I expected him to die a week before it happened. Really weird, I just knew it would happen.

Exactly!!! I adopted Mrs. Jett Kitty when she was 15 and over four years later she is currently sleeping beside me. I do have to help her onto the sofa, and once in a while she pees over the side of her litter box but that is the worse of her issues...
Previously I have had a cat who had a seizure about once a month, a blind cat and even a one eyed car...
while the cat may be pure I bet tons of hotdogs have been down her buns.

I like hearing these things. Several years ago, I became more interested in adopting an older cat or two when my current cat passes on.
But I was afraid that it would be more expensive and I wouldn't be able to handle the extra costs of meds and extra vet visits etc. So, to hear that it's not necessarily true gives me more fuel to consider it.
Although now I rent instead of own, I would have to convince my current new landlord. Who says no pets, to let me have just one more. She knew I had one cat when I moved in.
Being Different Doesn't Mean You Are Disposable, It Just Makes You Special.

Being different does not make one useless. They actually have an important role. Penny is very useful. They make us feel useful and every living being wants to be needed and loved. That's what life is really all about.

Thank you for being a "foster fail" and adopting this disabled cat. One of our rescues had no depth perception and we knew he had no depth perception when we adopted him. He was a wonderful loving cat. I called him "Milo the Great."

As a disabled person I find it rare to cry as well. Maybe it’s because I’ve gone through so many operations, procedures, and just living in pain that I’ve become hardened. But to see an innocent animal in distress hits me hard, all the time. They aren’t like us and live totally in the moment. A great lesson to be learned ❤️❤️❤️

Wow, I’m not a cat person but there’s something about that cat that makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over. What a sweet cat! She doesn’t ask for much but a little cuddling does a person and her a lot of good!

What a little darling Miss Penny is! She has very similar markings to my boy Olly. I have a special needs kitty as well. I adopted Miss Rocket in early June. She was found as a stray with a very badly broken rear leg. It had broken right through the joint and wasn’t able to be saved. But she is living a full and happy life. She loves walking outside in her harness. It’s been such a rewarding experience helping her live her best life ❤🇦🇺

This lady is a perfect match with her cat, Penny. It's hard to imagine a more perfect connection, and Penny is fortunate to have been adopted by such a sweet lady.
She is different. She’s far sweeter and loving than most cats and it’s wonderful. She’s so adorable, I don’t know how anyone could not love her. It’s her differences that make her unique and so lovable. I’m glad y’all chose each other for family.
You must be a very special person for a disabled cat to choose you! I had such a blessing myself about 7 years ago. I found a male that couldn't use a front paw living under a piece of plywood and brought him in my room! He would rarely leave that room and only go a few yards away! His time was up a couple years ago and local vet came to the house to relieve his pain! He passed in my arms as he had lived in my arms! Because we were inseparable for five years!

I was mom to a special needs Silky Terrier for 16 grateful years. He was the most neurotic, hypersensitive, internal, fearful, pee pee anywhere dog I’ve ever met. And I loved him with all my heart. I miss you Archie Pup. I used to remind myself that, if he wasn’t with someone like me, he would have most likely been euthanized or neglected. I’ve had several special needs pets and they have all given me so much love and hopefully wisdom

I had one. He was special. His toppling over got a little better. I got him to a holistic vet early, who was able to help him compensate, to a degree. Other than that, he looked like a jackrabbit when he was running. He was acrobatic, performing somersaults mid-air, to the delight of human audiences. He was a card, and be was aware of being center stage. I miss him more than I can say. I held him as a kitten, while he slept, to develop a sense of security, after being abandoned by his former owner. Glad I did that.

I’ve seen cats with this condition before, they learn to cope with it quite well, I’d never put one down because of condition like that. Beautiful, precious kitty 🐈🐈😻😻❤️❤️
I used to know purebred cat breeders that put down "imperfect " kittens all the time because they may not sell rspca puts down animals they think unsuitable for sale or won't sell regularly.
