I just started using a supplement with Bacopa, Gotu Kola, L-Theanine, and Holy Basil. I took half a dose the first couple of days and it made a huge difference in my bi-polar tendencies and my stress levels. I'm a nice human being over all and much more aware of my attitude. I'm also taking a multi vitamin and b-complex for reference.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

I’m here because I started taking Bacopa about four days ago and I feel a difference already, my head didn't tingle or anything but I feel less stress which has been high since I went back to school a little over a year ago. I am also going to order the Gotu Kola Dr. Jessica recommended.
I want to try this. I'm taking ashwaghanda right now and it's really helping me with stress and sleep but I've heard you shouldn't take it long term. I'll look to see if you have a video on this one.
I take Bacopa to protect against potential damage from taking adhd stimulants. Bonus that it helps with adhd symptoms anyway lol, cool
Thanks for sharing!
I just took 2 capsules, can feel my head tingling
let us know how it goes!
Update?
Idk if this is a good thing or bad
I could feel my brain "activating" with half a dose of my supplement. It felt like it was booting up after being restarted. I think it's great!
I am suffering from eczema when i consume herbs, even when the doctor prescribed me paroxetine med for my anxiety i felt eczema flare ups after consumption, i am frustrated by my skin sensitivity. I tried bacopa i am optimistic about it do its anti-inflammation property and anti-histamine property. I tell i felt that little sensation of eczema but it was so decreased and tolerable, not like other meds and herbs i take.
i am using bacopa for 2 days only. i am gaining better sense in facial organs and better smelling sensation
that is awesome thank you for sharing!
I've been researching about bacopa for the last several months and I didn't start taking it because it helps memory etc but because of the neurological help it gives the brain being that I was having the huge issues with my vagus nerve and ever since I started taking the bacopa I no longer have problems with it except twice and it was soooo mild and I only received small side effects when it triggered nowhere near what was happening all year, not at all!! I haven't had one of those attacks that go down into my heart, the lungs and make me start passing out till it hit my bowel and I would start shaking almost like a seizure it was getting so scary seriousIy practically lived in the hospital in 2023 smh every since I started taking this stuff it's the only thing I think that could be what's working because it's the only thing that I have changed since I've started feeling better despite all the meds that they put me on and whatnot it's when I started taking this as a tincture is when I started feeling better. 💯
Wow thanks for sharing your experience
I found that it reduces my blood pressure too much when used close to when I take Nifedipine for high blood pressure.
Good that you figured it out
Can i take Bacopa if i am 21 years old? I have a good health but cannot concentrate and i have anxiety
sounds like it would be a good fit
I have the herb growing. Can I just harvest dehydrate and use Bacopa?
Or you could make a tea or tincture with the fresh herb
Should it be taken in the morning, or would it be better at night? You mentioned GABA, and that’s definitely a nighttime for me?
Usually in the morning
I started taking Bacopa in capsule form about three weeks ago. I use it to combat insomnia, and it's been great so far! Also, I have anxiety about driving on the expressway/freeway. However, the first time I drove on the expressway after trying bacopa, I was calm and super focused. I was amazed by how relaxed and calm I felt while driving on the expressway because I've always felt so much anxiety. I have not experienced any side effects, and my mind is clearer. It's been effective for me. I'm going to look into gotu kola since you recommended it. Thanks for this information!

Hello! Can I combine with sertraline?
this would be something to talk with your prescribing doctor about as bacopa can theoretically alter the levels of drugs that work on cytochrome P450 substrates (a liver enzyme that is affected by sertraline)
I saw this in an herbal store how do I use it in powder form?
Could try it added into a smoothie
I have a REALLY weird problem; I ingested some magic mushrooms at the beginning of October for "therapeutic" benefits but ended up having a really bad experience. A headache continued the next day, and next, and now for 4 months I have had headaches and nausea of varying degrees all day long from morning to night. I have had an MRI, EEG, acupuncture, reiki, a neurologist and many migraine pills and SSRI and gabapentin, but nothing so far is working. Worse, the professionals can't even diagnose what happened, it's out of their clinical knowledge. Do you think I should try looking at a naturopath and the kind of alternative therapies and nootropics they would offer? I would like to try alternative herbs like bacopa, but only if someone were monitoring me. Stupid mushrooms. Permanent headache is not a known side effect :(
I've seen a similar reaction clinically. It took about a year for the headache to stop. So I would say yes it could be worthwhile to investigate with a local doc
@@JessicaNortonND Thank you! The cycle so far seems bad headache for 3 weeks, then it backs off a bit for a week (but still there) and then returns for three weeks. So weird. I do hope it goes away. Do you have any idea what is happening in the brain? My doctors don't have any theory.
@@JasonHauser125It will fade my love, mushrooms tend to not like you if you have a poorly built spiritual life...I can leave you with some subjective things that I've learned from listening to the many that I have seen that have been on trips as well as myself...but remember this isn't clinical. There tend to be bad trips and long lasting side effects for those who again don't have a solid foundation spiritually (I went through psychosis for 8 months) and really good trips and long lasting benifits for those who are more spiritually inclined and/or grounded. My psychosis would start from when I opened my eyes in the morning until I fell asleep at night for months, but when I cried out to and developed my relationship with Jesus, slowly it began to fade...now I am back in regular reality; no numbers, no patterns, no voices, no shady people, no headaches, no night terrors it's ALL GONE. But if you want the loop to end you have to step out in faith. Do with this information what you will, it will not be static in others's stories so trying to find corroberating POV's is going to be challenging for you and I am sorry about that in advance. I wish you all the best Jason, and I will be praying for you. Jesus can do what those doctors can't...I promise. ❤️☁️
@@JasonHauser125Magic mushrooms are fucking overrated as they can heal everything they always made me more anxious and emotional
Hello, is it completely safe to mix Bacopa with alcohol?
Not something I would recommend
What was the thing you combined it with please? I couldn't quite make it out? Something cola? Thank you. 😊
Gotu Kola. I have a video about this herb as well
@@JessicaNortonND thank you! I have just discovered your channel. Love it!

Hello can some who have memory lost from a stroke use this
Which form is best?
Capsule is easiest in my experience
I took it twice and I’m really fatigued- maybe not for me? I do t have any medical conditions
sounds like it didn't quite agree with you
are all bacopa species used as an herbal treatment?
bacopa monnieri is the most commonly used
Is it bad if I mix it with gotu kola ?
I’m unaware of any interactions with the two herbs together
@@JessicaNortonND thanks for the reply! Which one of these 2 is better for studying ?
@@user-oy1eb5bi8j I used bacopa myself while in medical school.
Can we give bacopa to children? Age 10?
I've not seen any studies in children, this would be a great question for your pediatrician
Yes you can because the herb acts like an adaptagen like ashwaganda etc.
I saw another video about bacopa, and they said it could lower your motivation. Have you had that experience? I can't afford to lower my motivation any more than it is.
I’ve not seen this clinically, nor has it been my own experience
Do you recommend for kids with autism?
I've not seem the research for this herb on children or with autism, I recommend you check with your practitioner or a provider that specializes in autism/peds
Yes! I highly recommend it for Autism. Take it in the morning!
@@JessicaNortonND they know nothing at all about supplements.
@@troecurov3 they can be hard to find, but there are functional/integrative medicine MDs and DO's that do additional training to learn more about nutrition, herbs and supplements
Can we use Bacopa for long term or we need some breaks in between?
I've always taken breaks between
Incorrect
Thanks for watching Gary 🙃
For the past month I have had severe anxiety and falling into depression. I started taking bacopa in a powder form, probably 350 mg, four days ago. I feel much better now, almost like a normal person. It seems to help with sleep too.
