  • Toyota Prado 150 Squeak caused by hand brake cable contact with bracket and occurs during slow speed driving over undulations in the road surface, over speed humps and entering and exiting driveways. We have applied a simple fix by readjusting the bracket.

Thank you very much! The squeaking noise was really annoying when going over bumpy terrain with low speed. The noise went away when did as you showed and added some lubricant around the rubber too.

i figured it was my bushes shagged out but no service could figure it out. I should check this out see if that's the culprit. Thanks.

Interesting video. I have a newer Prado 150 and is making this similar squeaking when going from R to D, does the vehicle engage the parkbrake while transitioning I wonder?

Hi. Thanks for watching. Park brake on the Prado can only be operated by the driver. Vehicle does not apply park brake automatically.

Hi great video!! I have another question on my 2021 July build Prado GXL, which has this surge/jerky when under acceleration between 50km to 65km/hr, feel like starving for fuel, it is not during gear change. I heard there is an ECU update/refresh just released to fix this issue. Is this true? Thank you.
