  • Hey Science Babes! Today's video is the first of many DIYs. I cover essential oil dilution for topical use and my specific blend for soothing headaches. Always consult your physician prior to using essential oils. If irritation occurs discontinue use immediately. Do not put essential oils in your eyes or mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children!!
Essential oils used (from New Directions Aromatics):
    Mentha spicata (Spearmint)
    Laurus nobilis (Laurel Leaf)
    Angelica sinensis (Angelica Root)
    Piper nigrum (Black Pepper)
Recommended carrier oils: Fractionated Coconut Oil, Grapeseed Oil
    Glass roller bottles: www.amazon.ca/...
NHPD Monograph for Essential Oils (Health Canada): webprod.hc-sc.g...

Anyone else who uses essential oils: “Eh I put about 5 or so drops in. Just eyeball it.”
Kenna: “Here’s my basic math formula to make an essential oil roller.”

As someone who suffers from migraines this is a super helpful addition to my routine!
Make sure to see a doctor guys, this isn't meant to be a treatment for a condition.

Hey everyone. I'm pretty sure that this video is really helpful but please don't treat your headache with pills or anything else if it's bothering you constantly for no reason or you're experiencing migraines. Go see a doctor. My mom had a stroke today. She never complained about her health, but headaches were quite common for her and she always had pills for that in her purse. She ignored it all the time and instead of visiting the doctor she kept taking pills. Instead of finding the problem, she was treating the symptom. Please, don't do this and go to the doctor asap if you can relate to this story. Remember that our health is the most important thing.

Great point, Victoria. Hope your Mom has a speedy recovery.
I had crushing headaches for 30 years ... as long as I could remember. Didn’t know my pain level wasn’t typical. Turns out I had more than 2 centimeters of cerebellum outside of my skull and needed brain surgery. Had I sought treatment earlier, it would have saved me years of pain.

Thank you for this! I make my own diluted oil mixtures for my face, scalp, and body and always calculate the dilution for safe topical use. A lot of DIY sites and even "kitchen based" businesses don't communicate the dilution rate! It makes me wonder if they are just guessing or adding oil until it smells good. Safe is best!

Also if there's anything that relieves nausea...my stomach is easily upset when I'm stressed out and I've always liked the idea of having something I can use for that, that isn't pepto-bismol or antacids or anti-nausea medication which makes me drowsy.

Make an assessment and breakdown video of the ingredients in NATURELO, a supplement brand providing a vast array of vitamins and minerals. I would be particularly interested in an overview of their multivitamin, which they claim is supposed to be "All-Natural." However, many customers of theirs have expressed deep and frankly horrifying concerns about how negatively the product affected their health -- including myself. I ended up having horrible acne, a chest rash, brain fog, and hair that gradually began to thin. Several months later, I'm just now starting to overcome those symptoms and return to normal. Thank you, Kenna!
