Hi as a certified aromatherapist I would recommend home users use an eyedropper for blending. For adult face it is a total of 25 drops in 100 ml of base oil such as jojoba, olive oil. For body applications, it is 50 drops in 100ml of base oil. Therefore a safe amount in a 10 ml roller bottle use 10ml of base oil also known as a carrier oil. Then just add a total of 5 drops of essential oil However, in healthy adults making perfume you could add up to 8 drops of essential oil in your 10 ml roller bottle. Note the drippolater in the top of essential oil bottles is not a safe way to drop oils into a blend as oils all have different consistencies some drop out very fast and some drop out slowly. Happy blending xxx
I dont mean to be so off topic but does any of you know a method to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost the account password. I would love any tips you can give me!
@Juelz Tate i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
ignore the dilution ratio here people. As a Clinical Aromatherapist, the dilution ratio used here is not safe. Unless you are a clinical aromatherapist who knows their essential oil chemistry, you should not exceed 2.5% dilution. For a 10ml roller bottle, that would be 10 drops of essential oil.
@@tiffanywoolfrey7979 you'll have to do a larger weight than that. 100g at least. Then decant as needed into smaller bottles. I wouldn't keep dipping the alcohol eye dropper either. They usually come with drip tips anyway. Anywhere between 2.5-5% by weight is safe. Good to research for yourself and find dermal limits. 5% is more for short term uses if you trying to remedy a specific issue. 2.5-3% is safe for everyday use
Flower is adorable and I love the videos she's in and how informative and knowledgeable she is. Though quick tip about roller balls. The easiest way to get the ball part on is to put the lid on and start screwing down, it will automatically pop the ball in without any hand strength needed, cuz I have none and I needed a cheat😁

Seemed like she missed a few moments to cleanse between dips. Also the amount of essential oils she used seemed heavy/too much for the size of the roller bottles?
Very informative and these are great master blends. I would mix them in a 2oz bottle then add 6 or 7 drops max to a 10ml roller and fill with carrier for everyday use. Max derm limit on grapefruit is very low and having too much without a good amount of dilution burns badly. I learned the hard way sadly.
@@DiffuserDudeAromatherapy yep that's the reason I said master blend in a 2oz bottle then add 6 or 7 drops max to a 10 ml roller bottle with a carrier oil.

As someone who has used EOs my entire life I always find it funny when "experts" constantly mention the need for dilution. Is any way to tell me how many drops of essential oil I put on 100 ml base oil for body use for stretch marks? Im trying to make my own mix but in my country i cant find any help online. And how many base oils I can mix?
The recommended amount of essential oil will likely vary depending on the scent of the essential oil. Our fragrance calculator is a great resource for determining safe usage rates. For body oil, we suggest using the body lotion setting on the fragrance calculator, here's the link: www.brambleberry.com/calculator?calcType=fragrance
Hi Flower, thank you so much for this informative video! I have a question. What essential oils measure amounts do you use for larger batches instead of personal use? Especially when you're mixing oils together? Measuring in drops when you want to sell things isnt an option right?
I do not get this math. How you got got 20 drops of lavender 20 grapefruit but then 12 cedarwood and 4 patchouli. I get how you got 20 drops of lavender and grapefruit because 4x5 is 20 yes. Where do you get 5?
i think she just ratio'd how much of each scent she wants. but..... erm,,, she did a little too much essential oil. 30% dilution is really excessive. For that bit of math, 10ml= around 200 drops. so 30%=60 drops. You only want to use 10% or less. I'm told 5% is max you should use for perfume/daily application and that 3% is absolutely safe. 5% is 10 drops of essential oil when the rest of the 10ml bottle is filled with carrier oil. 3% is like.. 6-7 drops. I'm currently trying to figure out if I can blend oils in another bottle to make a complex fragrance, then use a pipette to yoink that out, therefore i only use 6-7 drops but with more than 3 ingredients. Cuz you can't make a complex scent with just 3 ingredients. at least not in my standards
yeah. it would make an earthy floral scent. as a top note maybe try bergamot. patchouli=base, lavender= middle, bergamot= top. thatss if you want ofc. You could just do patchouli and lavender if you'd like :) bergamot is just an earthy citrus that synergizes well with the other two. If you don't know what bergamot smells like, you should try drinking earl grey tea :)

@@bramble-berry thanks for the fast response! I will check it out!!
Cuz you can't make a complex scent with just 3 ingredients. at least not in my standards
i have lavander essential oil, how much coconut carrier oil to use on a humidifier?
can you use this type of oil as a massage oil?
Absolutely, just dilute the oils into a carrier oil such as sesame, sunflower or whatever works best for you! 2% is usually pretty good!
Seems addictive like a cooking show lol
Do you think patchouli and lavender together would work?
yeah. it would make an earthy floral scent. as a top note maybe try bergamot. patchouli=base, lavender= middle, bergamot= top. thatss if you want ofc. You could just do patchouli and lavender if you'd like :) bergamot is just an earthy citrus that synergizes well with the other two. If you don't know what bergamot smells like, you should try drinking earl grey tea :)
@@RoyalGuardEziode Thank you! It needed something else to bring it all together. 🙂
@@RoyalGuardEziode thank you for the information.
I have found many diffuser blends that I would like to add to my soap but I am not certain as to how to go from 10 drams to 50 pounds of soap.
A fragrance calculator might help! Good luck 🖤✌🏾
Use the essential oil calculator online!
How do you convert drops into percentages
You would have to measure the entire recipe in drops to determine the total percentages. For small batches we recommend working in grams if possible.
