  • How to perform PID auto tune on the Anycubic Vyper using Pronterface.
PID Auto Tune helps the printer learn how much power for how long it needs to send the heaters to keep them at a stable temperature. This VERY much helps print stability!!!!
The CH340 driver is on the sd card that came with the printer, and may need installed prior to this if it has not been already!
These videos are not sponsored, I am just doing them to help out everyone just getting started out 3D Printing in the Vyper community. The videos and editing are all on my time, and not as easy as it looks with the editing. I am still learning also. Please be kind, suggestions and criticism is always welcomed. Are these settings being saved onto SD card or internal EEPROM chip on the printer? I am having issue with my Vyper loosing bed mesh/estepsnsettings after power cycle (if SD card is not present). I am running community firmware.

I watch all of your videos and I have learned a lot. I do have a comment those of us that are new into this hobby don’t have an idea of even want a PID tuning is. You would do us a favor if you could explain that before you start a video like this.

After 6 months of working great my Anycubic Vyper started make an alarm sound whenever I started a print and would stop when the bed got to 80 degrees. Followed the PID tuning for the bed and all is fine again, no alarm. Thanks!!

Should be the same in octoprint terminal, maybe a little easier to see.

Is this auto tune of nozzle so you can ensure you are printing at the temps you think your printing at? I swear my Vyper is printing hotter than what my gcode says to heat to...

If I’m already connected to my printer using OCTO print and raspberry pi, is there any advantage to using Pronter

I'm not sure how it works, I received a tip/donate from England, and one from Germany. They both showed up in odd amount USD$ so I figured PayPal Automatically converted it. No matter, I appreciate the thought, thanks! Hope the videos help!
