I agree, My best grouping with the mk2 was also with the cci standard. i got 5 shot group all touching @ 50 yards. I also experimented with expensive match ammo. they seem to be more consistent at 100 yards and beyond.
I concur. My savage mark II prefers cci standard velocity over everything else including eley match. Remington target is a close second place place for my savage mark ii.
Seems like most of the quality standard velocity ammo usually gives better accuracy. Hyper and high velocity stuff walks around a bit. I think the copper jackets seem to affect tight groups, in my experience anyway. Cool video, thanks.
Just ran mine out to 400 dialed 13.2 mil in turret and held 9.5 mil in reticle using cci standard 40gr could cover group with dinner plate. At 300 I’m going 5 for 5 on 6” steel with same ammunition holding 14.5 mil of elev. rifle zeroed at 50 yds
Cool, we now know which round is most accurate WITH a magneto device attached to the gun. It's well known you can't test accuracy with those devices because they are attached to the barrel and afftect the harmonics. Also, if you're going to shoot groups, you better measure them and have pics of group sizes or a chart. A minimum of 5 groups of 5 shots is what you need for a baseline comparison of 22LR accuracy.
Nice video. Not drug out but showed complete ammo comparison. I have used the Norma Match in the past. Still have about 400 rounds left. Have purchased a brick of the Norma Tactical. Have to wonder if it is the same as the Match in the white box? But changed the name look due to popularity of AR style 22 rifles.

I run a Savage Mk.2 with 21 inch heavy barrel. My best group was 0.81 inches at 100yds. That's a sub-moa group using CCI Standard Velocity 40gr.
My mark II seems to really like CCI standard velocity ammo. It was shooting groups that could be covered with a quarter at 50 yards.

Aguila super extra 40 grains shoots awesome in my MK2 it’s my best bang for the buck.
When I switch ammo I try to shoot several rounds into the berm before I address the target. It seasons the barrel to give it the best chance

Winchester white box 36grain my savage is a tack driver to about 175 yards
Try eley tenex I shoot 1/2" groups at 100 yards consistently
