People always ask me you’re such a good cook. Where did you learn to cook? I say the basics came from my mom and the finalizations came from Gordon Ramsay. Thank you teacher.
Yeah! That's because the mushroom will break the food into fluids when it enters the system... So he had show it that way... I was wondering why it did not leave water when he fried it on the grill...
In French, the flank steak is the “bavette”. The onglet is the “hanger steak” in English. This doesn’t really look like a hanger steak from what I can tell with the direction of the fibers, and if it is, it’s only part of a hanger steak, where the fingers run a bit more straight. It could a small part of the flank steak tho. Dunno I’m no expert Gordon would you mind clarifying please?
Bavette and Onglet are completely different cuts? Same are I think but the Onglet I think is what is also called the hanger steak. Also, don’t slice on the bias. Identify the grain and slice across the grains. Especially with cuts like this. Come on Gordon!
My ten year old son watched this with me and sweetly said,” mom! You have to make this!” Can’t say no to that! So we will be having this tomorrow. Perfect Saturday night.
As I'm sitting here through the third week of long COVID, with no sense of taste or smell, no desire to eat right now----and I still would very much enjoy that fabulous sandwich!
Yeah idk, British people don't really have any issues pronouncing it - I don't blame non-brits for stuggling though! Most people either say Lea and Perrins or just Worcester sauce (pronounced Wus-ta). If you wanna add the shire on the end you just say Wus-ta-sha
Perfect steak sandwich is the one you actually make. Don't worry about being fancy. Just get some steak, any steak, and any bread, and any cheese. Consider including eggs. Heavy salt and pepper. Cook until steak is no longer red. That is all you need and will be best thing you've ever cooked
1. What was the point of moving that sauce from a bigger bowl to a smaller one? 2. What is the point of seasoning the same piece of food over and over and over again? So that you can't taste anything other than salt and pepper?
I love how authentic Gordan Ramsey is! Not to mention one of the best chefs ever. But he just said the key to a great steak is resting it yet he took off the grill and cut into it immediately lol
@@MW-rx8oo Right? He goes from salt to rubbing it on the steak and right back into the salt again. Unless he throws out the leftover salt but that would be a waste.

Gordon's wife: How many seasonings do you wanna put in there?
Gordon: Y E S
Gordon your "lightly season" makes my blood pressure rise 😁😉🙃
Good Lord that actually was light seasoning , what on earth are you eating
@@eternalproductions light seasoning in every step adds up though
@@cs371212 god there's more of you
Gordon added 8g of salt in this video, not including adding salt to highly processed sauces. How often do you add salt to your Lee & Perrins?
In my opinion that's a lot of salt....not everyone is the same. (Respect)
People always ask me you’re such a good cook. Where did you learn to cook? I say the basics came from my mom and the finalizations came from Gordon Ramsay. Thank you teacher.
I love the way Gordon explains things as he goes!
he makes it look so easy and fluid.
Dunno I’m no expert
Gordon would you mind clarifying please?
flank steak is also known as bavette sometimes. "They" can't ever seem to decide.
Smart boy. Haha
How did they come out?
@@danielmunoz456 The son told me and he said it was horrible.. Dont try making it or atleast be a competent cook
As I'm sitting here through the third week of long COVID, with no sense of taste or smell, no desire to eat right now----and I still would very much enjoy that fabulous sandwich!
get well soon brother
GORDON RASAY IS THE CHIEP IN MY HEART NOT FORGET FROM COOKING AFRIATED
Me, with a simple downdraft stove: *pours Guiness over the hot grill plate, immediately sets off house smoke alarm*
Your continual passion for cooking and how immersed you are in your craft is truly inspiring and an honor to watch !! LONG LIVE CHEF RAMSAY
Everything is beautifully done!
Made this tonight with ribeye, red leaf lettuce and Halesite Habanero sauce. Spectacular.
Yall remember when Gordon tried to make grilled cheese? 😂😂😂😂
Yesss...can't forget about that 1
😂😂😂 I'm still waiting for the cheese to melt
Gordon is incredible….. he makes mayo look good
anyone else wanna do "The Price Is Right" on that wedge of bleu cheese? I'm going $45. and he just broke it off on there like it was Kraft Singles. :)
Like pry $14 but still that's like a $30 sandwich at todays crazy prices
Wow I thought UK pricing was bad, I couldn’t go without all my real cheeses especially the blues. 👌
$1
I love how he's given up on saying Worcestershire sauce 😂
That's also the correct way to say it, "shire" just denotes that it's a county. Worcester sauce is the same thing as Worcestershire sauce.
That's how ppl say it in England.
Yeah idk, British people don't really have any issues pronouncing it - I don't blame non-brits for stuggling though! Most people either say Lea and Perrins or just Worcester sauce (pronounced Wus-ta). If you wanna add the shire on the end you just say Wus-ta-sha
People in the uk tend to either say lea and perrins or Worcester sauce (Wuss-tuh sauce)
@@Mattbroad-zw3rc literally repeated what I just said
Perfect steak sandwich is the one you actually make. Don't worry about being fancy. Just get some steak, any steak, and any bread, and any cheese. Consider including eggs. Heavy salt and pepper. Cook until steak is no longer red. That is all you need and will be best thing you've ever cooked
All made in 9:54 seconds Gordon a solid 10 out of 10 amazing as always.
“Before taking a bite, season it, beautifully.”
Can I tell you 😋 😋😋
1. What was the point of moving that sauce from a bigger bowl to a smaller one?
2. What is the point of seasoning the same piece of food over and over and over again? So that you can't taste anything other than salt and pepper?
That looks freaking delicious. Adding this to my dinner wishlist 😋
I love how authentic Gordan Ramsey is! Not to mention one of the best chefs ever. But he just said the key to a great steak is resting it yet he took off the grill and cut into it immediately lol
Well he had to hit that 10 min mark
The steak is well done! Splendid job!
It just feels so good watching Gordon cook with great relish and enthusiasm like that
I love how he keeps cleaning as he cooks!! So much to learn from a single video!! Great chef, great video!
The word you're looking for isn't cleaning. It's cross-contamination.
@@MW-rx8oo 🤣🤣🤣
@@MW-rx8oo Right? He goes from salt to rubbing it on the steak and right back into the salt again. Unless he throws out the leftover salt but that would be a waste.
@@stevecalise9299 I'm talking about how he handles the raw steak then wipes his hands on the towel tucked at his waist multiple times. Handles the jars that are presumably going back into the fridge or pantry. Drops the spoon and mayo into the bowl that he just brushed the raw meat out of then picked the spoon back up to scoop the mustard out of the jar.
in 1-2 minutes Simple, healthy recipes. that's only with me
5:07 If the one and only Gordon Ramsay uses a spoon still drenched in mayonnaise to scoop out the mustard, so will I.
Excellent preparation, I’d toast the bread on both sides for added texture, but looks next level delicious! 🥰
I love how he starts a sentence, realises it's kind of nonsense, then takes a second to think of a word that will make sense 😂
Number of layers
Bread: 2
Sauce: 3
Steak, salad, onion, cheese: 1
Salt: 83
I felt like such a professional cuz i knew exactly when Gordon was gonna flip the steaks lol I’ve been watching too much of him 🤣
When I say I want to eat Gordon Ramsay’s food I don’t mean going to one of his restaurants. I’ll pay him to cook me anything. Also want Aaron Sanchez to cook me some amazing Mexican tacos! 😋
I see a lot of haters here. I also see some excellent suggestions. I think it's up to YOU ultimately to and cook and do as you like in your own kitchens at home fast or slow. I think the most important think should be entertaining a recipe that you can call ultimately make your own. No one has to be 10min. But everyone should strive to make good food.
Or just slap something together and move on with your life.
"A touch of chilli flakes... generously"
"two nice spoons of mayonnaise" proceeds to add 3+
I'd like to see someone trying to eat that behemoth!
Edit: Even though the size/volume of that sandwich is gigantic, in my opinion of course, what I meant by behemoth was that it seems very unpractical and messy to eat that monster.
there's standard, metric, and ramsay systems of measurement
No problem
Yeah… I would comfortably eat 2-3 of them.
When he said 2 you put 3 , that's his measurements
