i would call that a medium rare steak, not medium by any standards.. i also saw his reaction when he cut the steak.. got experience in the kitchen for 10 years.. or maybe im deaf and he said medium rare? or he just fried the stake cold so its red in the middle and fried outside because he might not care anymore
I'm not a chef/food enthusiast. I have watched many episodes of the differently themed programs that feature Gordon Ramsay and they are consistently entertaining, however, it is presentations like this that make the greater impression on me. His remarkable focus, coordination, and passion are a joy to watch. Well done (the video that is, not the steak).
I just lover the confidence in your cooking, not attending every simple aspect of the process, You know that it's done when it's done, It's always a method not a recipe, many people do not get that about cooking, kudos
What do I think? Looks amazing. It’s incredible that I can learn how to cook from Gordon Ramsay. 20 years ago I’d have to get a job in his restaurant! Yet here and now he’s my cooking tutor. Incredible. So grateful Gordon.
I've been passionate about cooking since my adolescent years! I simply love watching the process that Chefs take and try to replicate in my own kitchen. I then have the confidence to put my own spin on similar dishes and enjoy the final product! Loved this video just like all the others! Thanks @GordonRamsay
Still using the hex pans! One of the most important things to me in life is eating well and I’m only an amateur cook, in my own time, but I’ve learnt a lot from your tutorials, Gordon. From cooking scrambled eggs to perfect steak. Thank you so much.
These are my favorite Gordon videos. Where it's not about making a fancy or time consuming dish, but he's just showing you how to improve your own simple techniques, using 'simple' dishes we all make...
I made this recipe tonight except I used a fillet tail. It was delicious! My first flambé and I still have eyebrows 😅. Thank you Gordon! I get so much inspiration from your videos.
Everytime he says literally, i'm like: sorry Gordon, i'm always having trouble deciding whether i should literally or figuratively fry the damn potatoes.
Always the perfectionist. Chef Ramsey it's a breath of fresh air when you're on screen. How do you manage to keep the steak medium rare after such a long stay in the pan? If I leave it more than a few minutes it's done and done...
Idk why I started laughing once he poked the steak. I Love how hands on Gordon like to be with food. Just got into cooking and im addicted to watching everything about him.😂
also "nice" and "beautiful" and "peppery" and "mellow" he repeated himself a _lot_ this episode lol, I swear he said a few sentences almost the exact same way multiple times
Wow, just wow. That looks absolutely delectable! Yeah, I can't believe how long the steak was in the pan but still turned out perfect medium rare. Good job Chef.
That's what I was confused about I could of sworn he didn't cut against the grain im no expert so assumed I was wrong but im sure he cuts with the lines not against the grain@48pluto
Simple steak dinner - just need 37 ingredients, a deep fryer, endless supply of butter cubes, oil...beef stock..heavy cream...garlic...peppercorns...herbs...potatoes...steak...shallots...garlic...brandy...LITERALLY the opposite of simple - but damn it looks glorious
Thank you, absolutely brilliant. Great new recipe for all to enjoy. Thank you for sharing a great tasting and easy to make recipe. You make it possible for us to enjoy world class meals at home and you teach those of us that are so eager to learn, how to do it the right way. From me and my family, thank you Gordon. Fabulous Gordon! Always thought Skirt steak had to be slow cooked. You've just proved what a fantastic job you can do with it in a simple pan. Loved the sauce and fries too. 😊
Going to try it this way. one of the best things i got from one of his tips, is his way of doing scrambles eggs. look it up it is worth it. had great eggs since i started doing it that way. doesn't have to be complicated to be good
I tried this recipe today with an average quality Angus sirloin cut. It came out soo delicious. The wife was impressed. Technique is key. Thanks Chef!

Respect to Gordon taking the time to do these tutorials between the 15 TV shows he's also doing. Where the hell does he find the time?
