Joe, I can't believe you only have 19K subscribers. Anyone who is a knife lover should watch your channel. I firmly believe in taking care of my knives. But it's nice to know just how much stress a knife can take. In a survival situation you never know what you may ask of your knife, above and beyond the call of duty. BTW, I'm saving my pennies for a Work Tuff Gear ARES. They have a new run coming in October. 👍

My knife purchasing preference is greatly influenced by your videos! If I hadn’t watched your videos, I wouldn’t even know about WTG, and wouldn’t even know my country Taiwan is also a powerhouse in knife-manufacturing!! (At least WTG, Survival Lilly and most of Cold Steel’s blades are made in Taiwan. Nowadays if I like a new knife, I would search if you had done a destruction test on it before putting in my wishlist. Stay safe!!

I love knife reviews, I bought a lot of unnecessary steel in my life but it always fills me with joy and a certain amount of glee that something like the Mora Robust will make it to the top. I own five or so of them (lost count among the other Moras) that knife will somewhat easily hold up to other things 10/20/30 times the price. A Robust is roughly 14 Euros (Prime delivered) right now. A Mass of Oktoberfest Beer this year was 14,90 EUR. Mora Robust is THE value for money knife in my opinion. Haven't seen anything close. I use some cold blue solution on the Robust when I get it and they will take -anything-.

Yes that ARES knife is amazing. It killed El Bricko, how awesome is that ! I live in between a river and the ocean so Carbon Steel is a big No No for me, I need a Stainless knife. Best option seems Mora Companion HEAVY DUTY and Apo TRACKER, right ?

But Cold Steel ultimate one is still there waiting for you: Warcraft tanto 3V.
You can pick up either 5.5 or 7.5 inches blade, though I prefer the later.

the knives in steel pole test that break is because of the high pitch frequency going through the steel that breaks the knives 9 times outta 10 especially after what theyve already been through up to that point !

The knife that would survive the best would be a 1/4 inch thick with a 4 inch blade and a very low saber grind and full tang and a American tanto. Made from 5160 tempered to 52 Rockwell. It would be a rubbish knife but should be able to survive till the AUG came out.

I am pretty sure this is the third or fourth Joe X. Two or three died on the way. Who can say with this mask? Tho it is great fun to watch, i'd rather not take your tests into account when buying a knife. I go for years now with a swiss army knife 90mm, wich wouldn't hold to your tests for a minute. You know why? Because i use a knife for what it is supposed to do, that's slicing. Felix Immler shows the way you can go around the limits of your knife, just saying..
That Ares thing is the best knife, huh? Question is, what for? Does it slice? Can you skin and prepare a rabbit with it? Can you at least clean your fingernails with it, doesn't look so.
