usually i dont talk about this, but i know u now a long time!
now i make about 400 € each month, which comes on my bank account, first YT rips me off, then tax rips me off, so in the end about 400, 3 month ago, i made about 320 each month! all the blades i destroyed must be about 30.000 to 40.000 Euro, 99,9 % of the blades i paid with my own money! i have no Advertising deal, and the 20 USD each month from Buymeacoffe is chicken shit, so what do you think???

I can’t Imagine that JoeX makes any money doing this. It’s a hobby and a public service. I like different knives that JoeX does (actually he hates my favorite brands, and my favorite style of knives) but I respect the fuck out of him for doing what he does, putting his body in danger, buying expensive knives and destroying them, all proving a simple point: If someone is charging your a premium for “indestructibility” they are ripping you off. There isn’t hardly any money in this, it’s a labor of love.
Having a cup of coffee and watching Joe destroy 40 blades is guaranteed to put you in a great mood for the rest of the day

Joe, I still haven’t seen you try the Tops Missile Strike or the Tops Dessert Nomad! Both are made as military utility knives capable of breaching. I think they are possibly Tops most unbreakble, or at least most resilient blades!

One thing we should remember is the number one pick the folklore Creely was designed for Joe X tests specifically. If a lot of the other makers wanted to design a thick prybar with a blunt tip for testing I'm sure they would succeed as well.
Specs on the Creely site say it's .25 thick, several blades on Joe X are same and thicker.
I didn't see anything mentioning Joe X specifically, do you happen to remember where you heard that the knife was made for his tests?
Ngl, I wanted one after watching this, but $350 for a small knife made from basic carbon steel, and almost a year wait... That seems like a poor value. Especially since Carothers is out there making knives that are actually useful.

I have the Cold Steel Black Bear Bowie and the Tops Tom Browne Tracker.. so I feel good knowing I have at least 2 of the "Survivors" from the list.
I still think that the CS Black Bear Bowie is a better Bowie knife than the Ontario SP-10 Marine Raider Bowie.. and I still think that the Tops Tom Browne Tracker is a better knife than Survival Lily's APO1T knife.. according to these destruction tests.. they did better.

I ordered in the Black Bear, not realizing it's basically a machete. I wouldn't classify it as a Bowie knife. It's a machete, shaped like a Bowie knife.
I'm sure it's great, although the blade grind was so coarse and unfinished when I got it that there were burrs hanging off the entire edge that made it feel like serrations, literally, lol.
So it's a super inexpensive, roughly finished, utility machete. No comparison at all to a real knife. I'm happy to have it because it's tough as s*** though and will be great for clearing brush and small saplings on my property.
But the steel is 1050 or 1055 I think. And super soft so that makes sense.
But it's only 1/8 thick.
The Ontario Raider is a 1075, and a full 1/4-in thick.
So I would put these two knives in two completely different classes.
One is a machete, shaped like a bowie.
The other is an actual 9.5-in blade bowie.
Both have their applications. But I'm sure, being 1075 The Ontario isn't as tough.

Actually these tests all focus on ductile properties. No tests on edge retention, slicing ease, ease of sharpening. In this case a low carbon steel like 1055 will win every time.

All the blades that you have destroyed so far is more concentrated on hardness and forgeting the application of the blade. Example is , if you want something to chop something, you need a blade that is hard on the bottom but soft in the spine. It's all about the way you quenche. Is that even the right word, 'quench '
