Pre-Build gaming pc and gaming PC part's are getting way to much expansive in my country... i was looking to upgrade my old PC from rx6600 to RTX3080 10gb [used]. and I remmember that RTX3080 was priced at 480$ [USED] like 1 month ago. and now its at 750$ to 800$ [USED] 🤦🏼‍♂
BTW the a none used RTX3080 10gb is costing more then a 1000$ [I live in UAE btw...]

I built in the AP201 (technically matx but its SFF imho) mostly because it was a great case to keep the GPU going in it cool and quiet for a 3D Rendering build. It was much easier then working in 1U and 2U server chassis that I worked in before. They are also much easier to transport, great for anyone the moves around alot like college students or married men just getting into PC building.

Yup cable management is a bear and that's an understatement. I only have four pieces of advice . 1: Use the lowest TDP CPU you can get away with for the performance you need. 2: Same as above with your GPU. This is where the RTX 4070 shines and is probably the best choice on the market now for an ITX build. 3: Custom power cables for cable management. I know this will add $100 to the build but it saves headaches with cable management. To do this drop the board and power supply in the case, think about your runs and start measuring. Remember to add just a little length for some play to connect everything. 4: double check measurements for every component compatibility there is. Remember your building a small form factor PC and size does matter.
Good luck for those who are thinking about building an ITX. I'm just passing on some knowledge after building over a dozen ITX builds over the last 2 decades. I'm telling you these things from the mistakes I made.😊

i appreciate many parts of the video but i disagree with using the TG panel with a vertically mounted GPU and also that particular CPU cooler. I think it would be fine for the mesh panel but not the TG. Your GPU wont be drawing in fresh air and its dumping hot hair right on top on the CPU cooler. I think there are many videos that suggest this is not good. Again choosing a low watt CPU like the 7600 or 7700 (65 watts) would mitigate this to some degree. i dont know how well those bottom fans will distribute cool air to help with the CPU cooler. Otherwise i really like the build. i just think the vertical GPU is a nono with the TG panel.

agreed. If he wanted to go Vertical mount, a bottom-mounted AIO would have done really well, or, he could stick with the horizontal amounted GPU. Other than that, I can't fault it.

A good looking case in pictures, but the actual size is that of a mATX case. Was looking at it for a while for my ITX build, but then just reconsidered as it doesn't make sense to go ITX in a "mATX" case. Kind of sad it's so good looking and so wrong. Would have been perfect mATX case with tiny adjustments.

@@_TrueDesire_ Indeed both beautiful cases, pieces of statement in a way. Fractal started with Mesh and realized there is a market for better design. Many are quite annoyed with the choice between a) big black box; b) batshit crazy exhaust pipes shark pyramid something from cheapish plastic or 500 kg stainless steel.
If I had to guess North would look better in mATX. But then you could use the design language and colors of Terra with a twist and make just as unique mATX. Move the wood around, add some more elsewhere... doesn't have to be exact copy. Their designers obviously are capable enough, the rest is market research.

Why ruin the temps on a case that provide enough clearance to use a good dual tower cooler and a direct access to cool air to the GPU ? Even if it can do it, noise levels will be higher compared to an optimal build.

Aside from the insanely attractive price for this case currently (w/700W PSU pre-installed), I also liked not having to deal with a riser cable. i7-13700 (with contact frame) and RTX3060Ti.

As much as I would love to have an ITX PC, I rather see more compact mATX builds. I just couldn't wrap my head around the idea of paying more expensively for a motherboard with less features than its ATX and mATX siblings. It should've been the other way around. Hence why I see mATX as the more sensible compact build option. Luckily we have lesser known companies like Jonsbo and SGPC, to name a few, doing really compact mATX cases, one of which I'm currently building right now.

I’d decided to get the cheaper components first starting with the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 250GB M.2 NVMe SSD that will primarily be the C: drive for the Operating System. I’ll get the motherboard, CPU, and GPU last as they’re the most expensive components in any build. Going with the Ryzen 9 7950x and the Sapphire Tech Nitro+ RX 7900 XTX for the CPU and GPU.

AP201 can hold either I believe... definitely holds a Nitro+, you just need to buy a small PSU (140-ish mm ATX/SFX-L or any SFX).
Your bottom intake fans will also be very close to the GPU which is good and bad so you will need some kind of intake for the CPU either on the back or top intake.

And really, other than one-off instances, who is running a stack of scsi hard drives and cd roms anymore? With the fans and open case options these days cooling to me is a non-issue anyway as I see it.
And using an old school wood desk thats older than me (I'm no spring chicken) case height is the first thing that I need to look at. And thats led to the discovery of another pet peeve of mine with cases these days; top usb ports.... Can't plug anything in for under-desk cases.
