And make 5.25" bay modular so it can be put either on top or bottom. Thus making it possible to install big rad on top while still having optical drive.

      Fractal was killing it with the Node 304 more than a decade ago, and it's still one of the best mini ITX cases in existence. It won't fit a 4090, it's not the smallest, but it'll fit a 2 slot GPU and a 140mm exhaust and even a full sized PSU if your GPU is short enough, along with at least 4-6 drives, a full height CPU cooler, and has mesh intakes that keeps the dust out. And built like a tank. With room to tuck cables. The main benefit though is it's wider than it is tall, so no chance of accidentally knocking it over. It's also one of the best minimalistic cases, that can just sit on a desk and not offend the eye. It's a design you don't get bored of because of how neutral it is, so it doesn't suffer from changing trends. And the top of the case can still be used as desk space. You can put it right on the back corner edge of a desk and not have to worry about it being knocked off, which allows better use of the rest of the desk space. The only downside today is that GPU's have gotten soo big, you're not putting anything bigger than a 4070 in it. I've been running my CPU's max overclocked on air 24/7. Basically it's a case for if you don't want to compromise on heatsink size or cooling or drive space and have all the benefits of a full sized tower in a smaller package. And it's also a pretty silent case, the case itself dampens noise because it's not full of slits everywhere, so silent fans are even more silent. Even a 140mm AIO cooler would be more silent than normal. You'll still get dust build up on fans over time, but pretty much nowhere else, so once in a while you just clean the meshes and wipe down the fans and blow a bit of air here and there to get the dust out. Much easier to clean than other cases. No dust caking up on motherboard components.

    I do like how inexpensive and accessible the Fractal Design is, but if one is willing to drop the extra cash and maybe wait on availability then there's no doubt in my mind that the T1 is the better case. The T1 has insanely good thermal design for something just under 10L.

  • @muddystick
    @muddystick ปีที่แล้ว +2

    No! Recognition of Gullwing doors does not make someone a "Tesla Nerd"! They did not invest Gullwing doors, they first appeared on the 1952 Mercedes Benz 300SL as a practical decision as the side sills of the car came up so high that a typical front hinged door would have been almost impossible.
    With the exception ofbthe Model Y, the most recent car they appeared on was the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG in production from 2010-2015.
    Do not credit another invention that has been around for decades to Elon Musk, that shit happens enough.

Instead, avoid flow-through style cards if you can or try to create an air gap between the GPU and PSU and have a fan that helps direct air out

      @@peoplez129Especially with how many tiny nooks and crannies there are in such a compact case, I'd imagine even with a dusting every month or so there'd still be areas that get so caked you can't easily clean it. The price is actually pretty low for an SFF case though, many around this size are $250+ and very limited supply, mostly due to the R&D it takes to cram components so tight together and many of the companies making them are far smaller than Fractal is.

    Wonder with no additional fans aside from gpu fans, cpu fans, psu fans. How does it perform thermal wise and whether it would get throttled if the ambient temp is too high? My room got to 37 degree celcius in summer

    • @Pyroteq
      @Pyroteq ปีที่แล้ว

      If your room is getting that hot I'd concern myself more with cooling your room so you don't die of heat stroke rather than worrying about how hot your computer is getting lol. How would you even game in those sorts of temperatures? Your mouse would be drenched in sweat.

      @@Pyroteq i would have fans to reduce the heat for myself. Due to my sensitive nose, I could not use AC especially when it required sealed room. My room is open space with well ventilation (and dust ofc :'(). It's just that during summer the weather would be hot and bring ambient temp to around 34-37C. Last time it peak at 40C for around 2h :'(

    Get a Dancase A4h2O instead, that allows for a liquid cooler. It even fits a MSI Ventus RTX 4090. If you want a really high end SFF PC that case is awesome!

    ...Of all the colors to chose when they make a case with some actual color to it, they chose *70s* *green?* Bold, I suppose.
    Also, thanks for specifying the USB type and not just giving the speed. That's actually really useful, especially for situations like this where the front IO is going to be really important.

    Doesn’t a dust filter not take up enough room to justify leaving it out?

      You can debate how useful they are. You'll have to clean your hardware anyway, so why not have better thermals

    It would be cool if you could add some feet on the cpu panel side. So it could lay over like a console and you could mount the bottom fans on the outside or whatever

    I normally don't care for this kind of content, building stuff, but Adam does a great job. Keeps it interesting enough. I'm just chilling doing some work on the side and this was enjoyable enough for me to listen and periodically glance at, so I get some new info on a unique case. I like to stay reasonably on top of different PC trends.
