The one with the guy letting his family tattoo him was great. I'd imagine all apprentices start somewhere, and everyone that tattoos has to eventually do it on a person... I love the idea. That's a part of your family that you'll keep forever. Nothing wrong in my eyes. Super clean and professionally supervised. Congrats to him!!

as someone who wants to learn how to become a tattoo artist I can understand how those machines are available to the main public. (Consider that I'm in Canada and we do have big regulations before buying one such as proving you work in a tattoo studio by entering the license code)
I talked with many artists here and most of them told me to buy a machine and learn it by myself because apprenticeship is hard to find (especially here in Montréal) and then apply to any tattoo studio I can. So I'm conflicted, I really want to buy a machine to learn because if I don't, I won't be able to find a studio. But at the same time I know that it's not really the best option considering learning by myself could increase the mistakes and could potentially harm. There should be regulation but also good tattoing classes to prevent and teach those who wants to really learn how to tattoo.

@@phlaurynn9908 dawg you can by fake skin to tattoo on. The only thing that’s stupid about these people online is that they practice on themselves. Also from Canada here and I got a machine just so I could start practicing (not on my own skin). From my understanding (at least for Alberta where I live) you can just buy a machine and start tattooing, no need to have any sort of knowledge or proof of anything except for a business license.

The thing that gets me about the lady with face tattoos is that it's self-expression! Self-expression is a good, positive thing that allows people to feel happier, more at home in their own body and more confident! So when I hear all the comments like "this is so sad she was so pretty" what I hear is "I'd rather she be miserable and conceal her true self so long as she fits into MY standards of beauty." like please that is so fvcked up and uncalled for!!

    • @Littlekitten_
      @Littlekitten_ 3 ปีที่แล้ว +23

She’s a stripper , she knows it’s all about appearance so she’s probably tired of being the typical “pretty girl” a lot of heavily tattooed women say they get face tattoos to take the attention off their beauty or for more for attention. Regardless it’s a bold move and I think she looks great with tattoos !

this is why looking different can be such an asset imo, and she did go for a more extreme kind of different than most; if judgemental people refuse to come near you you're spared the hassle of finding out they're judgemental people somewhere down the line when you're potentially already emotionally invested

The black out back piece would look so pretty connected to your arm and neck 👀 I have a tiny amount of white over black and it healed fine for me, I think a tester is a good idea, my artist told me that she couldn’t guarantee it would stick on the first going over and might need done more than once because it’s temperamental and varies person to person as well

Im a trainee piercer in a tattoo shop and from what I’ve seen, white ink over black can sometimes need touching up a few times to really make it pop. It’ll never stay white because obviously your skin grows back over it, which makes it look discoloured. I still think it looks super cool and know a lot of people who have done it 🥰🖤

i recently started working with this girl who has tattoos just like me, i recently also got a tattoo done that cost me $450. I showed it to her and told her the price and she instantly went that when she was down south she could easily find someone else to do that for cheaper and proceeded to show me a ribbon tattoo that she happily told me she spent only $50 on it. All i could do was smile and nod my head, but i really wanted to say "Ya, i can tell you only spent $50."

So with pregnant women infection is a big one especially the Heps (Hep B, Hep C) and HIV. Also, because a pregnant woman’s blood volume increases there will be more bleeding. Additionally the skin changes that occur during pregnancy means there is a chance that the tattoo won’t look the same once it’s healed and the pregnancy is over. - there is also the concern of heavy metals in the ink which can cause problems for the baby (especially in the first trimester when they begin developing) - some call it a “grey area” because there are no hard rules about it.
I say if the artist is willing to tattoo you pregnant run, fast.

I work as a trucker and recently had a guy come up to me and start commenting on my tattoos then he proceeded to tell me all about how him and his wife tattoo each other at home and in his truck. He showed me pictures of the tattoos he’s done on his wife and I had to bite my tongue to keep myself from telling him what I really thought about them and how dumb it is to tattoo at home. The kicker is, he’s in his 40’s and should know better. He also had the nerve to comment on how my tattoo artist does his work. My tattoo artist has been tattooing for decades…

I gotta say about tattoo beds/chairs, I'm so nervous getting onto them because I'm very fat. I've literally broken my current artist's flimsy ass massage style folding bed at my first appointment and nearly died from embarrassment, but he was super nice and always kept me feeling comfortable. Got me a sturdier one to sit on. The chairs are still iffy so I'm still nervous when I go, especially after that time 😥

I'm amazed that no-one's talking about the fact that woman had her eyes *"tattooed". If you have a child that is not something you should mess with, there are simply too many cases of people going blind. I'm all for looking different and people expressing themselves, but if you have something in your life that is so reliant on you why would you risk such serious injury? Honestly, eyeball "tattoos" should be the things that are illegal not stuff like dermal punches.
If anyone's wondering about the quotation marks, it's because eyeball tattoos are *not* tattoos. Tattoos are ink that is worked into the dermis, which eyes do not have. Getting your sclera coloured involves injecting ink into the tissue of the eye. Hence why so much can go wrong.

People criticizing the lady with the face tattoos are the exact people that contribute to the issue of body dysphoria. They don’t stop to think that, maybe, without the tattoos she wasn’t comfortable with her own skin and that getting them might have been a step on her personal journey of feeling comfortable in her own body. If it’s not hurting anyone, maybe it’s best to keep your personal opinions about someone else’s physical appearance exactly that - PERSONAL.

Before I can even start watching, I have to say I’m obsessed with your sweater and scarf! You look stunning… now on to the crazy vids. Loving the blush on the horror tattoos!! Okay last comment, the sleeves at 17:00 are seriously. Asking me want one! Okay, for real last comment…Maybe that cute artist with the “foot tattoo” should have added the registration mark or trademark next to it, kind of a wink to trademarked toys!

8:00 I don't have personal experience with white over black, but I have done a little research because I'm interested in the style too. The white can yellow or dull over time depending on the undertones of the person's skin. Typically after a few years (3-8 depending on how it heals), most people will go back in for a new 'refreshed' layer of white. I can't remember their name, but an artist on Instagram specializes in white over black, and I believe he has pictures of the healed results. I think it would be a good idea to the white-work flower on your arm just to see how your body heals the pigment. Hope this helps!

I have a white ink tattoo not blacked out under it just a plain white Mandala on the back of my bicep. Got it 3 years ago and just had it topped up 4 months ago as i wanted the lines a bit thicker so it stood out more

Going with WebMD's list of reasons. Skin changes are another reason to not get tattoos during pregnancy. Your skin aside from stretching in places to accommodate the baby, can sometimes darken temporarily and the skin is often more sensitive. It also mentions toxic inks as ink can get into your bloodstream. Seems some inks may contain nanoparticles of heavy metals like mercury.

Your Immune system actually weakens when you're pregnant. Your body naturally does this to prevent your immune system from attacking the baby and as you can guess that makes getting infections much more likely
Edit: being in a lot of pain can also trigger your body to go into labor prematurely

It's kind of jarring to see you go from thinking tattoo equipment should be legally restricted to professionals on one video to acting as though people's tattoos are beyond judgement in the next. Both are simply people doing as they please with their bodies.

Massage therapist here! Most tables are rated for 500-800lbs because of the pressure applied during a massage. Even a half ass table shouldn't collapse underneath you during a tattoo

for the tattoo artist that let his family tattoo him at 3:30, I think we need to acknowledge that he is a professional, and can cancel out most risks, and is pretty aware of the risk of blowout/ fading/ scaring. I think there is something to say about calculated risk.
in a way, I feel like every profession has parts where they do that
I know that as a hairdresser, I had bleach on my head that I would NEVER let any one besides a professional do

Bare in mind tattoo guns are not at all difficult to make. Tattooing by non professionals is harder to prevent than sand getting in areas you dont want it at the beach. If people in prison can manufacture something without permission than people in the regular free world will have zero issue
