    Still the phone of the year , amazing, can’t wait for the S 25 Ultra and the Pixel 9 Pro XL

      NOT the phone of the year by any stretch.

      To be honest with you we have got to the tipping point, we need more than incremental processor update and camera refinement.

      @andyH_England หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can call it the phone of the year, maybe in the restricted US market, but the 2024 Pixel and iPhone have yet to be released. But globally, there are some exceptional phones that are as good, IMHO.

    • @Shan_Shah
      @Shan_Shah หลายเดือนก่อน

      @andyH_England to be honest it's kinda obvious iPhones aren't ever the phone of the year due to the lack in software which makes th class industry hardware unless n just a market gimmick and pixel when it comes to software reliability isn't as good, like pixel 7 series didn't get any galaxy AI and the s21 series got circle to search, I understand snapdragon is more optimized but if the s21 series can handle circle to search there is no reason why the pixel 5a 6 series n 7 series and fold couldn't have received it, also what's weird it they are reviving the XL model and making its smaller, 6.5" phone in 2024 or even in 2020 was considered the medium sized phones and maxed out phones are usually 6.7" or 6.8" and lol the naming I don't like they are calling it the pixel 9 fold XL they should just call it pixel fold 2, such a complicated same for a phone. Google pixel is the sweet spot if you want simplicity because it used to be boring like iPhones but they fine tuned the software and made it simple but at the sametime productive while iPhones are too basic, which makes it unproductive and boring to use and is very time consuming for basic tasks

    The AI features on the Samsung devices, because they're on more than just the 24, are game changing. Photo editing, web pages summarized by AI, live call in different languages, summarizing features in the keyboard. It really is something else, what a actual smartphone should be.

    The S24 Ultra is a fantastic device overall, but so many reviewers paint over it's below average camera performance. It really is quite poor compared to other flagship devices. Dxo Mark score it's camera performance very fairly, and their assessment of it's disappointing photographic abilities is absolutely bang on. Video-wise, I personally rate it as quite good in this area to be fair. Shame you can't dial down it's sharpness like you can for it's photography though (in it's camera assistant).

    I have the s24ultra and have notices banding and mura were it looks grainy in low light I have been looking into it and know that it cant be fixed by updates and will just have to get a replacement dont know how that will work but itll happen eventually love yhe phone just bummed my screen.... well sucks because if the mura and the banding, I know that not everyone has it, but im wondering if you have experienced it on your unit

    I will say watching shows and media definitely feel nice like a portable sized tv. It is slow charging but the battery drains super slow you wont have to worry unless your gaming on max settings I hardly play mobile games only a few and they work well.

    With an iphone the user has to adapt to the device. On S24 Ultra the user can adapt the device to what best suits the user.

      Samsung talks a lot with its marketing spiel, but the reality is Apple bought to market Titanium last year and uses a more expensive variety. Samsung cheaped out again!

      @andyH_England I am curious to know how having less titanium is related to cheaping out on its product thats like implying that Apple is being cheap by not manufacturing their own screens because it costs more so instead they rely on Samsung...

    You must be using a completely different S24 Ultra. The photos that come out of mine are laughable. I don't know what colour grass is in Korea, but in the UK it's not luminous green. Samsung really need to dial back on the saturation and give people photos that look like the things in front of the lens. My old Pixel 4a 5g used to take better pictures.

    Curious how much time with the pixel 8 pro you spent. Camera on the pixel is better in almost every metric. Albeit only a little better, but better nonetheless. 0 I have both phones and I keep going back to the Samsung for daily stuff but the pixel when I have to do important pictures or videos for events.

      @@DeadofWinter321 Yes, I upgraded my S23U to the S24U as the deal Samsung offered meant I only paid £30. But it isn't much of an upgrade, and I doubt I would do it again. I also have the Pixel 8 Pro as my second Android, and I now use that 90% of the time. It is only subjective, but I prefer how the Pixel works for me.

      I also ended up with the grainy screen unfortunately returned it for a replacement and still same issue so just returned it again and ended the contract as they likely had the early bad batch which supposedly have this issue sadly.

    • @andyH_England
      @andyH_England หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tytownsend8219 There does appear to be a widespread grainy issue with Samsung devices. I am unsure if it is poor QC as Samsung makes cuts due to massive profit losses due to Qualcomm sacking them. Mine also has it, though I usually use a matte screen protector, so I am used to that grainy look.
