Get an up-close look at the beautifully illuminated Wellington tram 257 in static display and witness the dynamic charm of Auckland trams 248, Melbourne trams 321, 893, and 906 as they embark on a magical 1.5km round trip through dazzling holiday lights!

    It is kind of weird looking at old Melbourne W Class trams that I used to travel on in another country. I am sure they are being well looked after.

      I think they are - at least as well as can be. Of course, if money weren't an issue and there were all the workers available, they'd be able to have a overhaul, new paint work, shiny bells & whistles, and preventative maintenance on an extremely frequent basis. I'm not involved in this, but I understand the team are mostly volunteers and have been bogged down with a couple of big restorations which have prevented them from spending the time they'd like to keeping the current fleet of NZ & Australian trams in the condition they'd like.
