  • In this episode of ThePrint #SecurityCode, Praveen Swami looks at how Pakistani businessman Arif Naqvi is at the centre of a storm over his role in financing the rise of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf. Arif Naqvi is fighting extradition to the US and it is alleged that he made the payments on instructions of former ISI director-general.

    Praveen Sir, please cover the assassination of Zawahiri and the international laws authorizing such ordeals. These "human rights" and "fair trial" sensitive countries carry out assassinations in broad daylight but have sheltered Indian criminals under the pretext of "Mental health" and even "living conditions" in Indian prisons. How come their house is "no go" but the rest of the world is a dump yard?

    Namashkar sir, narration feels your own fine n smooth way to understand the PTI funding case. Twist of Generals involvement in Pak politics is new than other reports. It transpires that Pak has not only terrorism nurseries but also hold Islamised political nurseries to gain power n run country Army or Islamic way under a well devised cover of democracy.

    Hardly surprising. Be it the PACs/lobbyists in US, Billionaire businessmen donors of India the narrative remains similar across the world. The unholy nexus of politicians and businessmen remains ever strong at the expense of Aam Admi and their aspirations. The saga will continue in bigger n better scale.

      Isnt China an exception ?

    • @siraja6679
      @siraja6679 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@offred6013 Not quite. Untill Xi's purge of the CPC leadership in the guise of anti corruption, many members of the CPC leadership used to take a cut to move papers. Even the local provincial leaders own or control the flow of money, be it industries or banks. The recent run on the bank in a few provinces is an example of how funds were mismanaged by businessmen and their corrupt political compatriots. I don't think there exists a society where such nexus isn't a norm. It's human to be greedy I guess.
