Great detailed info & product recommendations...but I kept waiting for you to wash/moisturize your neck! I wear my hair up & apply sunscreen to my neck, so my cleanse involves my neck as well. Also, we have to treat our necks as well as our faces or we'll have the telltale "neck aging giveaway" problem later. ;-P

I use pure unrefined organic coconut oil. It works so well for my skin.
It removes make up and sunblock.

In addition to the Cetaphil, there are also other micellar cleansers like simple water boost micellar facial gel wash, the outset gentle micellar antioxidant cleanser, bioderma sensibio micellar cleansing oil.
Love the double repair moisturizer as well and the inky list lip repair. They are both so good! I will definitely be purchasing the inky list cleansing balm. What do you recommend to help remove sunscreen and deodorant from your body?
I love La Roche Posay Double Repair. It’s hard to get it in Australia so I ordered 3 from the US.
in the 70's to remove make up etc. we had Ponds Cold Cream and Jergen's cold cream lol we come a long way baby. I also use the wrist bands got a few on Amazon and I love love love my hypochlorous spray just got two more bottles on Amazon
Ha-I use the Oat Cleansing Balm and Cetaphil!
I never use a cleansing balm. Just a gentle (but affective) cleanser. I don't wear makeup. I have skin issues. I'm a believer that makeup is not good unless you have healthy skin. I only have my skin care products to rinse off.
If you are not wearing makeup. Just use a good cleanser like the La Roche Posay foaming. It removes also water resistant spf.

At least one derm I know rarely double cleanses. She just uses a regular cleanser and takes her time making sure she's cleansed her face well all over. Another doesn't like cleansing oils or cleansing balms and uses micellar water to remove her eye makeup and then uses a cleanser to take the rest of her makeup/sunscreen off.
Any thoughts on CeraVe's makeup remover balm?
Every oil cleanser or balm caused me superficial acne. Pustuals around the noes. Even though I followed up with a cream or foam cleanser. I now use a foaming cleanser than a cream cleanser.
I like that Inky List but have found sometimes it separates and only oil comes out. Not easily shaken up in the tube. Don't think I will purchase again. I prefer the elf.
There are some skincare folks (esties/derms) who say you should spend money on a cleanser because it's the first step in your routine. Keep in mind that some of these folks have their own skincare lines. I've seen cleansers from some of these lines starting at $30. At least one plastic surgeon's skincare line has a $50 one.
I don’t use micellar water often, but my favorite is Burt’s Bees.
A lot of derms and even Lab Muffin like the Bioderma. At least one told a story of being out of it and running into the drugstore, picking up a bottle based on the cap color and getting home and being disappointment because she'd gotten the Garnier by mistake.

Do I need copper peptides? If so where would I put it in my routine? I’m 47 and concerns are sun spots which appeared in 2023 I only had two, started on Tretinoin in October and I’ve got more spots now and freckles in my cheek bone area. Does Tretinoin bring out spots from beneath the skin?

Yes, you need to do it. At least wash your face with facial wash before doing your night skincare.
Is there a cellular water that is cruelty free. I know these products are good, but that moisturizer test on animals. I wish they would make cruelty free products so we don’t have to torture animals anymore!! If you look at cruelty free kitty or asked Siri if products are cruelty free products, makeup, skincare etc.
Hi. How about videos about sun protection. Summer is here, and people will be out there looking for the tan. As a board certified dermatologist, you need to show your viewers more than look cute and double cleansing. I started with you way back, but you have put your degree on the back burner and are becoming just another blogger . Melanoma kills. I am a two-time melanoma survivor. Last time, Stage 4 metastatic melanoma.

First she uses a balm to cleans off the makeup and spf, then second she uses a cleanser. All followed by moisturizer. So just 3 steps, she shows many different products for you to choose from. Just choose the 3 that you like.
