    I think doing one finger length at a time and going for the second layer is brilliant instead of doing 2-3 fingers lengths at once and desperately trying to blend it and start thinking it is too much product. I will definitely try this method. Thank you

    Wow! I've been using the same Paula's Coice sunscreen since 2012. I was told recently that I look 10 years younger than my age (64). I have to thank Paula's Choice for that as I didn't use any other skincare until 2 years ago. Paula's Choice is a superior brand without the "luxury" price tag. Everyone should try it! 🙂🙂🙂

      Get a clear or almost clear sunscreen that’s super light (fluid ones are ideal, but light creams also work) and TAP it on gently using your clean fingers or a sponge. Don’t rub the spf in! If you do it well you’ll look slightly wet initially but then the sunscreen will dry down and you should look normal again (assuming you didn’t choose a glowy/shiny spf).

    2:01 Downside of spreading it out with both hands is that of those 2 fingers quite some product ended up on the hands, meaning the 2 fingers didnt end up completely on the face. Many people also do 2 very thin lines of sunscreen, when I weigh what I see most people do its only about 0.5-0.6 grams, and the face is definitely larger than 300cm2.

    I don't know if I have a small face or if my sunscreen tubes dispense more than the ones I see using by americans on youtube, but two fingers of sunscreen is A LOT for me. It takes too much time in the morning to blend such a big amount without looking like a ghost. Like to me it's already a big thing that I wear fps50 everyday regardless of sun exposure. I don't know anybody else who does. I'm not gonna apply half a gallon or reapply every two hours. I don't want to be a contrarian but applying this way is too inconvenient and I'd rather wear not enough spf than get fed up with it and stop wearing it alltogether.

    • @miel4861
      @miel4861 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Maybe try using a hydrating primer or moisturizer before your sunscreen, and choose a creamy formula for your foundation or something with reflective particles. I also read somewhere that using too much of your products increases chances of settling. So after your primer, and hydrating sunscreen, wait for everything to absorb. Then apply a creamy foundation that gives you the desired coverage with as little product as possible. If you feel that is too much for your skin, try a hydrating primer with spf under a creamy foundation with spf.

    • @miel4861
      @miel4861 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      From what I know sunscreen is “used” by exposure to sunlight not passage of time. This means if you apply in the morning, stay indoors away from a window, not sweat etc you don’t need to reapply on your way home.

    • @luisa146
      @luisa146 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Personally I don't. I only reapply if I'm out all day long, and definitely not every two hours. I've never reapplied more than once. I know those are the dermatologists guidelines, but I believe these guidelines are generic and we should use our best judgement to implement those in real life. Even if I had the inclination to reapply that often, I definitely don't have the money to buy that much sunscreen. Reapplying once every day means you go through double the tubes in a year. Not an option for me

      @@teri2466korean and Japanese sunscreens are too drying for me.
      I used to get peeling too but I make sure to exfoliate my skin really well, hydrate it with a really good moisturizer. Put on my blurring primer let that sit for 5 mins then apply sunscreen and let that sit for 15 mins then foundation and no issues.
      Always make sure you exfoliate and hydrate

    Try Trader Joe’s clear sunscreen. It is less than $10. SPF 40

      The Trader Joe's sunscreen is a great deal but it burned my eyes so badly I had to return home to thoroughly wash it off my face.😢

    So, I'm guessing that you use the same principle for covering your neck.. forgive me as I'm not used to this sunscreen thing, but it must now become a way of life due to having chemoradiation for base of tongue cancer..

    What about all the cancer causing agents present in sunscreen? Cancer from the sun- or cancer from the sunscreen?

      It’s a bunch of BS. Fear mongering from a few shady labs. Lab Muffin Beauty Science has some great videos debunking the myth of cancer causing ingredients in sunscreen.

      I am not the expert here but all the dermatologists I follow recommend sunscreen and from what I know sunscreen is regulated in the US and there is research to support its safety when correctly used. Dr dray has a video discussing the research that shows why some sunscreens have issues. So in my humble opinion if you use a reputable brand and use it correctly you’re fine.
