  • Spoilers ahead:
The Withered Resurgence are one of the oldest Species since the creation of the Universe. They live in the Darkness of Space. In every Shadow. They hide and they observe the Creation itself.
But Starfleet has gathered too deep and has discovered to far. And so the Withered Resurgence have no place of hiding anymore and start to defend thier territory.
This project is a great piece of art. It was made with love and dedication. It was produced by Movietime in cooperation with Imaginative Universe. A lot of time has gone into this project.
I hope you like the movie.

Overall I like it. My criticisms are minor so I'll just shut up and just say SUBSCRIBED! I will be building my current and future starship models while listening to that end song "Enterprise"!

Wandered into this by happenstance. The visuals are great - seeing the D face the Withered Resurgence in battle was actually chilling to watch! And the music was nicely done, too!
Most of my critiques are around the writing and story presentation:
-Reading the title aloud dampens the impact of the title reveal. Just let the title speak for itself.
-Crewman should always be referring to Captain as "sir" or "Captain", e.g. "What's your idea, sir?"
-If Enterprise D is on active duty, the B variant would've been renamed to something else to avoid confusion. Captain would've likely just said its official name in his log, then quickly noted "previously known as the Enterprise B" for the audience's sake. Crewman would've also used its new name when referring to it.
-Conversations between crew members on-ship switch too fast sometimes; feels too much like they're just reading sentences from the same book. Space out responses in the dialog with a second or two of silence to better simulate a conversation.
-Captain jumped to the conclusion of it being the Withered Resurgence pretty quick. Just having a simple query from the Captain "Could it have been caused by ?" and the Crewman responding "No, sir; our scans don't match known records of ." would go a ways of showing the Captain to be competent while still allowing the plot to move quickly.
-I was surprised Captain didn't immediately order phasers on the Enterprise A with how quick he was to do it to Old Ship. Enterprise A could've used some "super shield" or something to block it or just tanked it with Crewman stating "No effect, sir!", and then the torpedo idea and retreat would've made total sense as an escalation.

Interesting....however with the D being in Drydock A LOT of lights would be on, and not all of them off like shown here. The engines would be powered down but the deflector dish would remain lit. Actually there was one episode where we saw the deflector dish off and that was "Starship Mine". Oh and for the deflector, when it powered up there should have been a blue light behind the oval shape of the deflector dish. If you want TNG and especially Picard you'll have seen that.
I know the 1701 Refit it's deflector dish was dark until it fully powered up. However in other instances we've seen the D's deflector dish lit but the engines powered down. Also for when the D powers up not ALL the lights would be on. If you've watched TNG and Picard you'd see that not ALL the lights were on.
Edit: Forgot to add that the D's saucer impulse engines were NEVER lit. EXCEPT for when ever the saucer separated from the stardrive section. I know the impulse engines were always lit on Galaxy Class starships during the Dominion War but this was before then. So yeah for when the saucer is attached to the stardrive they are NOT lit.

That sent chills up and down my spine too. I like all star ships named ENTERPRISE from the NX class to the lastest class from Star Trek: Picard at the end of season 3. A legendary name must never ever be forgotten.

This is inspired and truly lovely to watch. I would agree with @tortysoft in that I'm not a fan of AI voices. In future, I would recommend real people - mind you, I'd be happy to help.

ok, so the music is 8/10, CGI 9.95/10. Just one little thing: it's red, not white, but the voice acting is 5/10, and the only other thing is no ship is going to drop out of warp right on top of the target. But overall 9/10

the voice acting sounded like text to speech/ai - some of it with some really odd pacing and language breaks - maybe english not first language and translated then put through an AI voice?

why is the navigational deflector being used to scan stuff? the sensor array is a different part of the ship (the greeble rim around the saucer)

There is a boatload of talent on display here. Both in the music and the art and camera work. You are much more talented than I, the only thing I can offer is suggestions and advice in writing. First off, the resurgence are both compelling but also risk being a little too similar thematically to the white walkers from GoT. Care should be taken so that doesn't happen. They're also terrifying to a degree. They have the same feeling of mysterious dread the Borg had when they first hit the scene. Huge props. Third, and this is the golden rule of Trek writing, Roddenberry intended for Star Trek to be a positive depiction of the future of humanity. Everything else is #2. Get too grimdark and edgy and you may as well go write any other bargain bin sci-fi show. Also you pretty much just hit on the only believable way to bring the D back. There's a several month window in there where she was in the care of a skeleton crew for...reasons. There is gold here. Also if you ever feel like you want to play around with having voice actors I volunteer as tribute. Gonna go jam to the song at the end now.

Fascinating, no pun intended, a cosmic race possibly as powerful as others in the series such as the Organians and the "Q", but far more subtle, mysterious, and potentially more older and terrifying. Does the Withered Resurgence originate from dark matter, gravity forces, quantum minima? They seem more primal in their existence, with nigh infinite patience, strategically destroying life with ridiculous ease, and for who knows what purpose, perhaps just instinctual until now? Reanimating spacecraft like undead corpses, manipulating matter and energy. And why appear now in the galactic timetable? What of the "music", is it a language of some sort, heralding and causing the discorporation of life it encounters? Science meets Gothic or Lovecraftian Horror. Wow, this is a very cool way to introduce an ongoing potential threat to not just the Federation, but to life everywhere! The Borg are not even this creepy! Thank you, wonderful job, and I hope this threat is carefully and thoughtfully investigated both in and out of character: the cosmos just got a bit darker. How do you understand and communicate with, much less fight, an entropic lifeform that is technically living anti-life!!!

@@MOVIETIMEstartrek Thank you, it is very rare that Star Trek has an interdimensional threat, much less one that seems like a primal sentient virus looking for a host "cell" to invade, unload its genetic code to reanimate its host, refuels itself, then replicates and releases more of its kind to continue the cycle. (Just look how a virus works!) Kind of a more terrifying version of the "giant space amoeba" episode from the original series! Even the Borg are not this mysterious and dangerous! A living, or unliving, contemplative cosmic disease from beyond the void! This is so utterly horrific, thanks again!
