Before I proceed, my physical heath has taken a sudden down turn since I made my last post. So until I'm feeling better, work is halted on everything. *(This Q&A is broken down into several comments due to content)* *Table of Contents: Comment 1* - Projects and Concepts - Wolf 359: The Massacre, Part II - The End of an Odyssey - Star Trek: Generations - Battle a Veridian III (Reimagined) - Star Trek: The "De-mastered" Series *Table of Contents: Comment 2* - Star Trek II: An Evil Reflection - Star Trek III: Prologue Klingon Attack at Ceti Alpha V - Star Trek III - IV: An "Enterprising" Voyage Home - Star Trek: Nemesis - Battle Group Omega Arrives - Battle of the Omarion Nebula - Alien 3: The Alternate - The Final Shot *Q&A Part 1* - *What's the difference between "Concepts" and "Projects"?* *Concepts* are basically, the "Alpha" stage projects. They are ideas of mine that only involve specific scenes. There is typically no full-scale planning at this stage. If I like what I'm seeing, I'll begin the planning stages when I have time. (Note: There is *no* guaranteed release of concepts.) *Projects* are the "Beta" stage before release. Almost always planned out at this point and actively being worked on. Work maybe slow, but it is ongoing. *(Note: Except for "Wolf 359" and the "Odyssey Battle", there is currently no release dates for any other project/concept.)* ---- *(Project) Wolf 359: The Massacre, Part II - Q&A* - *What's the battle going to be like?* My concept while designing the massacre from the beginning was this: *In Part One:* Admiral Hanson represents the *old* way of Starfleet thinking where diplomacy and peace reigned supreme and combat tactics were a distant second. This is exemplified by ships allowing civilians to remain onboard despite the Borg threat and Hanson sending in small groups of ships one after another until the admiral himself was killed due to being a poor tactician. *In Part Two:* Captain Amasov is going to represent the *new* way of thinking for Starfleet. It will be Amasov that develops the first tactics that will be used in future Borg encounters including: "The Battle of Sector 001" and even the "Dominion War." The battle tactics used here may not be the best because this is just the infancy of Starfleet actually getting their hands dirty and fighting hard. *Premise:* Set about 30 minutes after Admiral Hanson's death, the rest of the fleet has since regrouped at "Fallback Position Omega" near the fifth moon orbiting planet Wolf 359 b. Captain Amasov, now in command of the fleet, has formulated a new battle plan (one that was proposed to and rejected by Hanson himself as being too reckless) which involves a massive "ambush and swarm" attack. He begins preparing a trap to confuse the cube which will enable the fleet to ambush it without being picked off on approach. Meanwhile, the cube (after holding position and taking its time assimilating survivors and technology from earlier) has been suffering from disruptions to its power distribution systems since Admiral Hanson's aborted assault (the admirals attack did more damage than first thought). Unable to fully regenerate due to these disruptions, the cube is unable to go to warp for an extended period and must travel at impulse speeds towards the far side of the system. As it passes near Wolf 359 b, Amasov springs his trap... The timing of the Klingons arrival hasn't been finalised yet. They may arrive like what was shown or they may arrive later when things seem bleak for Amasov. Either way, the last-minute arrival of the Klingons will add an additional 25 ships to the fight and basically turn Part Two into a huge "free-for-all." The toll from such heavy combat keeps the cube in a weakened state that will allow the Enterpise to catch up to it later and recover Picard. - *Planet "Wolf 359 b" ?* While attempting to devise a battle plan for Part II, I was looking for anything within the Wolf system that might be useful to allow an ambush attack on the cube as I didn't want the cube to see the fleet coming like in Part I. That's when I discovered the (unconfirmed) exoplanet "Wolf 359 b." I debated on whether or not to use it as a backdrop because of it's unconfirmed status, but I relented and decided to use it anyway because I felt having the planet and multiple moons nearby might make the trap less obvious to the Borg. If it's existence is disproved... well... let's just say I'm ready for that possibility. - *What's those flashes of light from the torpedoes?* Actually, those are specially modified probes that designed primarily to send out fake warp signatures to the cube but also contain small amounts of anti-matter (less than a standard torpedo). Anyway, the flashes are Polyluminus Bursts (warp flares) based on the Voyager episode "Night." The only difference is that here the flares flash (or strobe); blinding and confusing the cube just long enough for Amasov's ships to move in and attack. - *Will Riley Fraiser and other character's assimilated at Wolf 359 make an appearance?* Yes. However, the extent of their appearances haven't been determined yet. - *Will the Borg Queen and "Q" make an appearance also?* They too will make appearances also. Again, the extent of their appearances haven't been determined yet. - *Are we going to see the outcome for the Righteous?* Yes. Those scenes have already been built. But they may be added to "Wolf 359: Aftermath" instead. - *You said previously that the Klingons wouldn't arrive in time for the battle...* I did say that, yes. However, while fleshing out the story for Part Two, I read several comments saying that since I'm using a new location to maybe allow the Klingons to show up. I resisted this idea at first, because I don't like going back on my word. However, the more I thought about it the more merit it had, so I ultimately retconned my previous decision regarding the Klingons *not* arriving in time. In universe reason: let's just say that the Klingons arrive ahead of schedule and surprise Starfleet... - *When will it be released?* Hopefully sometime in September, but it could be as late as 2025. I've been working on it along side this preview to help establish the general direction I want to go with it. I've got the first half of the video in rough draft. But I still have the battle to plot out yet and that's not even factoring in the editing, finalizing the vfx, etc. So be patient. ---- *(Project) The End of an Odyssey - Q&A* - *What's this about?* My attempt to flesh out the final voyage of the USS Odyssey and the first encounter between Starfleet and the Dominion. This will also showcase the battle from *both* sides, giving us a glimpse of how the Jem'Hadar viewed Starfleet's incursion into Dominion space and some of the decisions they make. - *Why did the Jem'Hadar ship penatrate the Odyssey's shields?* My reasoning is: if a Jem'Hadar solider can walk through a force field on DS9 and their weapons can pass through Federation shielding, why can't their ships pass through Federation shielding as well? I wanted to show something that wasn't entirely clear in the episode: that Captain Keogh and the Odyssey crew tried everything and did everything right... but still lost. - *When will it be released?* Not until after my Wolf 359 series is completed and released first. ---- *(Concept) Star Trek: Generations - The Battle at Veridian III* - *What's this about?* My attempt to fix the halfassed way the Enterprise-D goes out in ST: Generations. This is based loosely on "ST: Generations - The Game" where at one point the player is forced to deal with an entire fleet at Veridian III that is loyal to Soran. Since "ST: Generations" was directed by David Carson who also directed "Yesterday's Enterprise", I thought it would be fitting to have the battle comprised of 3 K'Vort-class battlecruisers with the addition of a Vor'cha which is the Dura's sisters proper flagship. Only this time, the Enterpise isn't going to just sit still and get her ass kicked... ---- *(Concept) Star Trek: The "De-mastered" Series - Q&A* - *What's this about?* I never cared much for the 2006 Remastered space visuals for TOS. I get that they were trying to modernize the visuals to appeal to a younger audience, but in so doing, they lost much of the charm that was in the original model and camera work. Not to mention most of the cg effects have aged horribly in my opinion and ship movements have little to no weight to them. - *What does "De-mastered" mean?* My attempt at going back and approximating the visual style of the original '60's vfx, while keeping (certain) elements from the Remastered 2006 version (like new ship designs, etc.). Also, adding my own elements expanding on specific moments like "The Ultimate Computer" battle by adding new shots but filmed in the '60's style to add more immersion. *The Ultimate Computer* - *The Excalibur's nacelle caps should not be illuminated or animated...* Originally, the Excalibur was identical to the Enterprise and the selling point of the shot was seeing her lose power and her engines stop spinning. Then I got the idea to change the ship configurations a bit for more variety and realized the selling point of the shot would be less effective if I made her nacelle caps solid, but at the same time, I wanted to change her configuration, so I kept them as they were. *The Doomsday Machine* - *Why do I hear the warp engines overloading?* The same sound effect was used earlier in the episode when Kirk ordered the Constellation be given "full ahead" impulse power. I decided in conjunction with the visual of the impulse engines overloading, hearing the sound of it as well makes the scene more intense. *(Q&A Continued in next comment...)*
*Q&A Part 2* *(Concept) Star Trek II: An Evil Reflection - Q&A* - *What's this about?* Some time ago I was reading about "The Wrath of Khan's" production on Memory-Alpha and it was stated that at one point very early on that the Reliant was going to be another Constitution or "Enterprise-class" starship. However, they felt that having two ships with similar configurations might confuse the audience and so they went down a different path. This concept explores what that could have been like had they stuck with the original intent which described her as "an older, somewhat battered starship of the Enterprise-class, with a slightly different configuration." Using the "Phase II" Constitution, minor modifications and wear where made to make the Reliant seem like an older "evil" version of the Enterprise. - *Are you going to do the Battle in the Mutara Nebula too?* Once I figure out how to do the Nebula effects properly, sure. ---- *(Concept) Star Trek III: Prologue - Klingon Attack at Ceti Alpha V - Q&A* - *What's this about?* The idea behind this concept is my attempt to answer why the Enterprise looked so much more battered and worn when we see her in ST:III compared to ST:II. *The premise:* Having intercepted Admiral Kirk's report to Starfleet about the Genesis Device and coming to believe that Genesis is a weapon intended to annihilate the Klingon Empire, Captain Kang (joined by Captains Koloth and Kor) leads a task force into Federation space in an attempt to locate the Genesis Planet (home of what he believes to be a secret base to launch a first strike against the Empire), and destroy this base at all costs. But he doesn't expect to come across his old nemesis (and supposed mastermind behind Genesis) Admiral Kirk near Ceti Alpha V, just as the Enterprise is preparing to rescue the crew of the Reliant... ---- *(Concept) Star Trek III - IV: An "Enterprising" Voyage Home - Q&A* - *What's this about?* I always wondered how ST:IV would have gone had the Enterprise survived ST:III. Based on my research, the Enterprise's destruction wasn't in the early drafts of the script for ST:III. But it was later decided to destroy her because they needed a dramatic life or death decision for our characters. In this scenario, the Genesis Planet decays sooner than in the film. By the time the Enterprise arrives, the planet is already beginning to break up. The first half of the battle with Kruge is largely the same. Except, the automation center doesn't overload this time and the Enterprise is able to raise her shields. When Kruge returns fire, the Enterprise still loses power but the automation center *isn't* knocked out. This time, the Enterprise manages to return fire with phasers and torpedoes and blows Kruge out of the sky. Chekov soon locates Spock, Savvik and David and beams them aboard just as the Enterprise makes a daring escape... After her three month stay at Vulcan, the Enterprise will be in better shape than she was in ST:III thanks to assistance from the Vulcans in making "basic" repairs and cleanup, as well as Scotty having the time to perfect the automation center. As such, she'll be able to withstand the "pound" of slingshoting around the Sun to return to 1986. Obviously, many sequences will have to be different from the film as the Enterprise can't land or cloak. Spock can use some 23rd Century technobabble to hide from the primitive satellites from 1986 similar to how Voyager did in 1996. - *Does this tie into your "Star Trek IV: Probe" video?* Indirectly yes. I haven't had the skills necessary to pull off some of these sequences like the crash or fleeing Genesis until recently so it's been on the back burner for some time. As far as the crash goes... I have an alternate outcome if things don't work out. We'll see... ---- *(Concept) Star Trek Nemesis: Battle Group Omega Arrives - Q&A* - *What's this about?* Another scenario I've pondered over: what if "Battle Group Omega" arrived instead of the Romulans? According to Memory-Alpha, John Logan (who wrote the screenplay for ST: Nemesis), wanted the battle in the Bassen Rift to be fought with a fleet of vessels, not just four. However, it would have been prohibitively expensive at the time so the number of ships was reduced. As to how the battle plays out? It'd be about the same as the film, only more drawn out. Specifically, the Scimitar's attack on the USS Galaxy will be longer as I envisioned her to be much "tankier" than the Valdore. Thanks to post-Dominion War upgrades, she actually has stronger shields than the Enterpise-E, but less overall firepower despite being equipped with Quantum Torpedoes. Except for the Valiant and Nova (whose small size and high maneuverability will make them hard to hit) the rest of the fleet will be easy pickings for the Scimitar. The Romulans would still arrive but their arrival would be pushed back until after the Scimitar was destroyed. At which point, Donatra would offer assistance to the now wrecked Starfleet vessels. - *What ships are these?* According to the tactical readout in ST: Nemesis the ships are: USS Galaxy NCC-70637 USS Intrepid NCC-74600 USS Valiant NCC-75418 (Encyclopedia states Intrepid-class, chose Defiant-class for more variety) USS Aries NCC-45167 (Renaissance-class, Ambassador-class sub type) USS Hood NCC-42296 USS Archer NCC-44278 (Excelsior-class) USS Nova NCC-73515 - *The Scimitar is supposed to be partially cloaked for this scene...* In this depiction, the Enterprise manages to disable the Scimitar's cloak very early on in the battle unlike the film. This was done because of difficulty emulating the cloak effect used in the film, so to make life easier for me, I dropped it. ---- *(Concept) Battle of the Omarion Nebula - Q&A* - *Will this be expanded on like Wolf 359?* Yes! I hope to make it a similar format to what I used for Wolf 359: - The Prelude - The Battle (One-part battle this time) - The Aftermath We'd see things like the Jem' Hadar beaming onto Tain's bridge moments after Odo and Garak leave and capturing him. We'd also see the battle from maybe both perspectives including from other ships in Tain's fleet and it would continue until all of Tain's fleet is destroyed. I haven't given it much thought so far, but it should be doable. *(Q&A Continued in next comment...)* ---- *Q&A Part 3* *(Project) Alien 3 - The Alternate - Q&A* - *What's this about?* The idea behind this project was to fix and/or flesh out (not just the intro) but specific scenes for a personal fan-edit of "A3" to answer some lingering questions left hanging since the films release. These include but are not limited to: *- new expanded intro, including two facehuggers* based on the original novelization of "Alien 3" by Alan Dean Foster* ---- one is the "Royal" facehugger which infects Ripley and later the Ox/Dog (haven't decided yet) ---- the other is the normal facehugger we see in the original opening which causes the fire, this one dies on the Sulaco ---- moved the eggs to the dropship landing gear (where they should have been from the start) ---- the Sulaco computer attempts to contain and extinguish the fire (which fails) ---- three EEV's are launched instead of one (one of which crashes into the Sulaco causing an explosion) - revised EEV crash sequence with onboard computer readouts detailing why the pod crashes - revised scenes involving the rescue ship USCSS Patna - revised ending which reveals the fate of the USS Sulaco based on story elements from the game "Alien: RPG" - *BONUS!!!* a separate "dream" ending for those that consider "A3" to be a hyper sleep dream - *What does "The Alternate" mean in the title?* This project is based on my personal head canon which considers the film "Alien 3" (as we've seen it) to be part of an alternate timeline from the film "Aliens" and the game "Aliens: Colonial Marines." This way, its story doesn't interfere with either, yet can still remain canon (...at least to me anyway). Which means that I've made the deliberate decision to *not* fix the visual continuity between films. Instead, I'm embracing David Fincher's art direction and set design for the Sulaco in "Alien 3" to sell the idea of an alternate timeline. Only the hangar bay set was retained from "Aliens" but re-colored and set brighter (to be more "dreamy" looking) to look how David Fincher might have filmed the set had he used it for "Alien 3." - *Are you going to explain the egg plot hole?* Obviously, I subscribe to the notion that the Queen was responsible for it. Either she laid them intentionally as "Emergency" Eggs , or they 'leaked' out of her wound from her missing ovipositor. Either way, I like to believe that they started out as small "ovarie-like" nodules encased in slime (that would account for why Ripley didn't notice them as there is slime all over the place - in fact, I envision Ripley using a flamethrower up inside the landing gear to clear out any surprises, but the slime protected the nodules). These nodules began absorbing minerals and nutrients directly from the metal hull of the dropship and started to grow. After the egg's matured, emissions from the Sulaco's reactor core roused the facehugger's from dormancy and they began moving about the ship. At that point they were unaware of the survivors in stasis. But as luck would have it, the creatures moved in the general direction of the cryogenic compartment and as they approached, they began to sense the survivors and moved in for the attack... It's not a perfect solution, but it makes sense to me. ---- *The Final Shot* - *Is this part of Wolf 359?!* No comment. I simply placed it here because it's a kick ass shot and I needed a big finisher for this video. Only time will tell if this gets used in a project...
Hope you feel better very soon, look after your health, it is the most important. We greatly appreciate all that you do, so yes, take care of yourself and do what you can, only when you can, put yourself first. God Bless, from Ireland.
Greetings from UK. Get well soon and please take care. But if I may say - if this is just a preview, what's the actual work going to be like? This Preview had everything and more from what I could have dreamed about Star Trek. You added the Battle of Veridian III in Generations, and the Bassen Rift in Nemesis - basically what we "wished should have been" you have made into a reality. I love your expansion of Wolf 359. Hope you are feeling better soon - your health is number one. Please don't be under pressure to produce anything until you are 100%. Peace.
It was my original thought when I heard that a fleet was moving to assist the Enterprise. "Enterprise to Battle group Omega, we have been intercepted and they have taken out our warp drive. Request reinforcements." "Enterprise, Battle Omega copies. We are on our way. Hold on in there." "Galaxy to fleet, set course for the Enterprise's position, maximum warp!"
I have mixed feelings. On one hand, OF COURSE BATTLE GROUP OMEGA SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE!!! On the other hand, I think that task group might have been a bit much, even for the mighty Scimitar. Perhaps Shinzon can have yet another Scimitar class? Perhaps a D'deridex or two Raptors pilfered by the Remans? Just enough to even the odds?
I always thought they should have at LEAST made it a Vor'cha-class attack cruiser that destroyed the Enterprise. It makes far more sense that a heavier, modern warship could stand up to the vastly superior firepower of a Galaxy class instead of a retired 20+ year old Bird-of-Prey.
Nice how it also reflects the Klingon fleet from final battle in the Generations video game. (You have to win also against Romulens and Chodak to get the ending that saves the D.)
It was always disappointing the rest of the fleet didn't get to fight Shinzon. I have been watching the film again and it is better than I remember and far better than Insurrection. Tom Hardy and Patrick Stewart worked very well together.
The Collective doesn't care for innocence. You are nothing more then something they can _consume._ Those children screaming wouldn't be away from their parents for long. The question is, however... Is that better? Or _infinitely_ worse, given the _final_ scream hints at one thing and one thing only? A child can fight. But resistance...is _futile._
I remember it was from the VOY episode ‘infinite regress’. Where Tuvok had mindmelded with Seven of Nine, to help to rescue her personality, that was slowly being swallowed up by other previously assimilated people. That little girl was one of them. Still remember it to this day. Chilling stuff.
That last shot makes me think of the TNG episode "Parallels"... "The Federation's gone! The Borg is everywhere! We're one of the last ships left! Please, you have to help us!"
WOW, I actually got very emotional watching your trailer. You have captured my entire growing up experience of Star Trek in the best way possible! And you are a master artist; but more than that, you know how to edit, improve sound design and action like no one around today. I hope someone who watches your latest video hires you, and your colleagues, for the next Star Trek film or series! I'm sad to hear you've been so sick, my best wishes to and and your family: plus, for your fast recovery JTVFX.
I always loved the battle of the Bassen Rift. Enterprise looks gorgeous, the battle sequence looks gorgeous, and that few moments after Enterprise disables Scimitar's cloak and goes absolutely bonkers firing everything she has always gives me goosebumps. But after seeing "Battle Group Omega Arrives", this task force coming to the rescue and the FREAKING GALAXY going nuts, blasting phasers and quantum torpedoes?! This is absolute cinema, thank you sir!
@@KukulkanFeatheredSerpent She's easily the equal to the Enterprise, which also goes to show what a ridiculous shitton of guns the Scimitar is packing.
Hated the Bassen Rift battle. They made a space battle in TREK boring! Not to mention GREEN ships firing GREEN weapons on a GREEN background. Did I mention the GREEN???
I absolutely love the Phase 2 Constitution as the Reliant. With the wear effects on her, she really looks like a vengeful ghost. Also that Galaxy charging at the Scimitar reminds me just why I love that ship so much. She can look really mean from certain angles.
Damn, you're cooking! When I'd first learned of your Wolf 359 project (and saw it) I thought that it was incredible (and about time that the battle actually got a decent look at), but seeing everything else you're working on, its nothing short of downright amazing! I can't wait to see the full releases, and whatever you work on next!
Might have liked a hodgepodge mix of ships befitting renegade Klingons. Maybe even throw in a Cardie and Ferengi cruiser to reference other personal enemies the Enterprise has made
this trailer goes EXTREMELY hard. So many amazing things here -- I was literally saying oh my GOD after each concept reveal. I wish you the best with your health and I hope you find relief soon.
This is incredible! Great reimagining of various events throughout trek. I look forward to any work you release and wish you a speedy recovery for your health woes.
Wow! A bounty of riches. Can't wait for Part II. Glad you're establishing that the Klingons took part. Please take care of yourself and feel better soon!
I love these videos, WOLF 359 is by far and away the best piece of fan fiction I have ever seen. The battle we never got to see brought to life to such a high standard. I cant wait to see what you do next. I wish you well on your recovery.
Bruh, the shot of Battlegroup Omega sweeping in as the music swells is so good. Reminds me of the old sizzlers they used to show on the VHS sets of the movies back in the day.
Guys, this was epic. You guys really know how to pull the tearing up in strong for true trekkies. That is the Trek I've missed. The new Trek will never capture the essence of what made Trek so fantastic to watch and the reason we fell is love with them and their characters. It's a shame CBS has thrown in the towel. At least we have 67-2005. Thank you so very very much. Can't wait for the finals, you guys really do amazing work.
Isn't Amisov and his ship the only survivor of Wolf 359? Great to see extended Odyssey battle as it was always too easily defeated. Keogh was a battle hardened captain but I suppose they were trying to show how powerful the Dominion were.
@@ianhirst1148 Amasov is the Captain of the USS Endeavour, which is said to be the only surviving ship of the Wolf 359 massacre. The ship appeared in TNG well after 'Best of Both Worlds' and is also claimed to be the Nebula-Class we see in 'First Contact', or the battle of Sector 001.
Wow I am blown away. The Massacre Part II is awesome, and I love what you are doing with Generations, and Nemesis. The rest all looks great as well, and I am super excited to see what you come up with. I hope that you are able to make good money off of these aweinspiring skills of yours. Honestly it looks better than a lot of big screen CGI.
To quote a young Anakin Skywalker, "This is intense!" I can't wait to see all of those concepts upon release. Your work is well research, thought out, and executed brilliantly. And you never disappoint giving the fans the in depth look at the expansive stories that Star Trek, and now Alien as well, only give a limited view of. Thank you!!!!
These previdws are some freaking amazing shots! Oh that fleet of Borg vessels headed for the 1701-D is absolutely terrifying! I cannot wait to see where you go from here.
Wow 1st, i hope you get better. 2nd, this video is awesome 3rd, your Massacre and build up was excellent. Finally seeing the Battle of Wolf 359 far exceeded my expectations. Thank you LLAP
Wishing you speedy recovery. Love your work! We will all eagerly await the finished work once your health improves. Looks like very interesting concepts.
That was a beautifully epic selection of battles, with a few surprises thrown in. Your work is fantastic, I love how you kept the TOS shots close to the original, far more so than the actual CG remaster shots.
Wow, there is so much here…another 2-3 years worth of ideas! Your Wolf 359 series has been everything we’ve wanted for 30+ years, and I’m so looking forward to seeing the story of Capt. Amisov and the USS Endeavor. Turning the Battle of Veridian III into a real battle where the Big D goes down guns blazing? Beefing up the last stand of the USS Odyssey? Yes please! Interesting what ifs with Star Trek II, III,IV. I too had read Reliant was originally supposed to be an older well-used sister ship to the refit Enterprise and while I think they made a wise choice in creating the Miranda class instead, I’m looking forward to seeing this. Nemesis needed an appearance by the full fleet and Enterprise-E getting an assist from a Galaxy-class on screen one more time; it would have made Scimitar and even more epic final boss, Shinzon more sinister, and the stakes of Picard’s ramming and Data’s sacrifice even more desperate and heroic if they were trying to protect the beat up Federation and Romulan fleet. Nemesis would have been far better with this and all those deleted character-driven scenes that would have made it feel more authentically Star Trek. Good work! You get better, JTVFX. We’ll be here when your on the mend.
-Demastered- is exactly how I wish they had remastered TOS. Having the ship flying about and turning on a dime never felt right. Just felt like a toy on strings.
Agreed, but I understand why they did it. To add some variety to the shots, so they didn't look like reused stock shots and very limited motion makes it seem like the Enterprise isn't nimble and is just as slow moving as an ISD or something from Star Wars.
That’s Trek combat. Or at least the incremental improvement that time and nostalgia allows for. Full impulse in Trek is .25 light speed and weapons ranges go out to 300k kilometers. Trek capital ships move like fighters in some other universes because impulse is not just fusion rockets. It’s basically Mass Effect drives without the branding. They lower the effective mass of the ship so they turn on the proverbial dime. Its just that folks were nostalgic about the limits of a low budget 60’s TV show and we’ve had to slowly creep along through the decades making their movements and weapons fire ever so slightly faster but not too much faster or it scares the horses. We still are nowhere near how unsettling watching “actual” Trek space combat is and why ships need building sized computer cores and sensor arrays to even be able to hit each other at all.
Thank you very much for the sharing. Your version of the Wolf 359 is the best ever! My sincerest gratitude for your sharing of the top quality, extraordinary work, and my hope for your full recovery later!!
I couldn't imagine as a kid in that amazing summer waiting for Best of Both Worlds pt 2 to air that one day I'd see the actual battle done in such a beautiful way.
I’m honestly excited to see the generations and nemesis battles. I mean I’m really excited to see those ideas brought to realization. Hell they ALL look fantastic and are fantastic ideas. Let’s be honest, I’ll nitpick every one of them (just who I am) in a positive way but I’ll love that you’ve done it. Hope you get better soon and recover fully. We need people like you with an obvious love for the franchise and imagination to make things better. Cheers.
The best teaser I have ever seen. JT, you're one of my favorite makers on TH-cam. Take care of yourself and know that your work is greatly appreciated.
The shot of the Enterprise with the massive amount of Borg cubes is like the Destiny book series where 7000 Borg cubes laid waste to the Alpha Quadrant and destroyed entire worlds like Risa and Deneva and races like the Nausicans were wiped out.
One of my favorite series. It's a shame that it isn't talked about more online.. but those cubes I think are a reimagining of how the Borg battle in First Contact was originally conceived like. It wasn't a cube, it was a whole fleet and Starfleet had more teeth, similar to the game Star Trek Armada.
Really like the concept you showed here of what if the Federation task force had arrived to assist the Enterprise-E in the Bassen Rift against the Scimitar.
MAGNIFICENT! A Treasure Trove Of Excellent Previews Especially That Final Shot Of The Enterprise D Closing In On The Borg Fleet Is Truly Chilling Be Well JTVFX Take Care Of Yourself 🖖👍
Insert “The Return of The King” meme here. What a fantastic video! Truly spectacular! Every time you upload, I’m in awe of your creation. You just keep getting better and better! You’re amazing! You left me in awe again! You are literally carrying Star Trek at this point. Everything you’ve made is better than anything Paramount has put out. You’re awesome! I’m sorry to hear about your health situation. I hope you feel better. Just do your best. It’s the best you can do. Be safe and take care!
Holy shit. I was literally holding my breath for half of the video. The Nemesis remake is one of the coolest thing I've ever seen and I've seen a lot, since I'm into VFX myself and have spent hours analyzing each frame of star trek battle scenes. Especially the ones from Nemesis. Please do more. And do it quick, I need that :D
I comment every time, but I love your work, it is incredible. It just reignites my love of Star Trek since being disillusioned with the latest Trek, albeit I did love S3 of STP. Carry on the phenomenal work and I hope you get better soon Sir!
That opening was scary! Good music score choice there. The presence of the Borg should always provoke a sense of terror. I absolutely love seeing all of epic ship sceens in this CGI fashion. Lots of enjoyable Pew Pew scenes to go along with unseen or revisioned battles. I Love it! The USS Reliant as a connie phase II model is an interesting take. Reminds me of a retake video of the USS Vengeance being the USS Excelsior warping in front of the Enterprise instead. These beauties can be menacing with the right lighting.
@@RobSchellinger I was hoping the Borg would 'evolve' closer to what we saw from that Voyager episode with tech from the 29th century and become more of a threat. Janeway's virus had consequences.
This video man, I can’t comprehend the work that went into this but I’m gobsmacked by the quality and detail. Damn dude, you slapped my face with vfx and I am shook! Hats off!
All the best on a speedy recovery! I hope things turn around for you!! EDIT: Also, the terrified child in the Wolf 359 Part 2 section. Absolutely chilling. Something I never considered among everything happening there, but absolutely appropriate to the horrors going on during that battle.
OH JTVFX, you trying o break the internet again? Fantastic work! I think I'm looking forward to "An Enterprising Voyage Home" more than anything surprisingly. Wolf 359 finale looks amazing.
Can someone please give this man a job in Hollywood, this is the Trek we all wanted!!! My god I have not been so excited to rewatch Trek since the last season of Enterprise. Great job @JTVFX this is simply delicious to the eyes and well scripted! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This was a wonderful preview. So many things I wish I had seen back in the day, like the Starfleet reinforcements that were mentioned but not seen in "Nemesis" or a better look at the Battle of the Omarion Nebula. I wish you well in your recovery. Take all the time you need. We'll be here. :)
That opening shot.. oh man.. the screams of those taken by the Borg at wolf359 .. you truly made it terrifying.. amazing work, well done. I also pray you feel better soon and get well. 🙏 God bless you!
Love that your Nemesis remaster has the 1701-E clear out of the way of the Galaxy fleet. Much props to the Sovereign Class, but Galaxies always look amazing in battle.
3:49 This transition between stories gives me the chills, it's so good. Initially, I thought the ship doing the flyby was an Earth Alliance Destroyer from Babylon 5 (another rich set of great projects you could do one day). I hope that your health is improving. Your artistic talent is amazing! I can't wait to see these projects evolve.
A Truly Magnificent Bounty Of Rich Previews That Opening Shot Of The Wrecked Ships While Hearing Children Screaming Is Bone Chilling And That Final Shot Of The Enterprise D Facing The Borg Fleet Is Breathtaking Excellent Work As Always JTVFX Take Care Of Yourself 🖖👍
Hope you get well soon and not because of future videos but because you've already given us so much more than we thought possible. These clips and videos are AMAZING!!! Truly creative and inspiring! Pure Star Trek and have repeat value. Thank you and well done
I love your attention to the Galaxy class in the Generations, DS9 and Nemesis scenes. And looking at the viewing trends/stats, it seems like those are the ones that are really resonating with everyone! It's amazing how you're making so many people happy with this - thank you :)
Mate, you made my freaking solar year with the remake of the Veridian III battle! The scene was glorious. And so were all the others. Best wishes to you regarding your health. Please get better and don't strain yourself. Health must come first. Cheers!
Hi, love your work. As someone who struggles with mental health a bit, I tell myself that I recognise I'm going through it. It doesn't make how you feel go away, but it does strengthen how you go about your day etc. Instead of feeling lost, you feel a bit more on track as to how you navigate through the day, week, etc. This is what works for me. If you read this comment & this thought interests you, I hope this works for you too.
Seriously, get better man. Rest up, we'll happily wait. These all look so amazing (the USS Odyssey and Nemesis ones in particular, I really hope to see). Also, you got the RedLetterMedia seal of approval, and that's the only thing more awesome than these videos. REST UP, BUDDY!!!
First, I hope your health improves. Second, that updated Veridian III fight snippet is the most beautiful Star Trek-related thing I've seen since the second season finale of SNW. You're treating the 1701 D like the kickass lady she is! Third, I felt cheated out of a fleet battle in Nemesis. Good job, especially having a Galaxy class leading the charge.
I have no words to fully state how all of these makes me feel, just incredible work honestly. Chills and excitement and sheer awe at the work you are able to produce. My lord that's just incredible. Wishing you all the best brother.
Seeing your video today really brightened my entire day! I wish you the absolute best of health. You are a gift to everyone that watches your videos and you bring a light to us old trek folks. True creative genius! Thank you for such an amazing experience. I did always wonder how the Enterprise was able to catch up actually!
That last scene has GOT to be a reference to the episode Parallels...! Would love to see all of those Trek concepts get made. The reimagined Wrath of Khan battle, or the Nemesis battle with the battlegroup. Chefs kiss!
I agree with you wholeheartedly about the battle of Veridian III, I love that you used the PC game adaptation and Yesterday's Enterprise as inspiration for the revised battle. I'm looking forward to seeing it, but I'd prefer for you to focus on getting better.
Finally, somebody has redone the Enterprise D Verdian III attack almost exactly how I envisioned it should have gone down. The ship going down in a blaze of glory, rather than the pathetic battle, that made the crew look incompetent. Thank you.
I think I speak for quite a lot of people here who are incredibly happy that someone has been found here who really understands what the fans of the first series want and has the ingenious skills to realize it. I think it's great that on the one hand you research alternative script variants and realize them, like the intervention of the fleet in Nemesis, and on the other hand you just do your thing and give the Enterprise D a really honorable exit at Veridian III. Take your time. Do it the way it suits you and take care of yourself. You're putting an incredible amount of energy into this and I hope the reactions of the fans - and in this case YOUR fans - help you to recharge your batteries, at least a little bit. And as I said in another comment on your artwork: You would be one of the few people here on TH-cam whose great work I would really donate to. All the best, Alex
It’s my one argument about folks bigging up Voyager and the Defiant in capabilities due to tech advancements or a focus on fighting. Like sure pound for pound maybe they can blow the former flagship of the Federation out of the water. I disagree but maybe. But like literally any advancement or military focus they make is counteracted by the Galaxy being like 10-50 times larger. They could take out some of the schools and note I say SOME of the schools and have more space devoted to weapons than either ship can fit inside their small hulls. Hard to believe Starfleet would just shrug their shoulders at whatever perceived deficiencies the Galaxy had and not just slap in new shield generators and phasers and load in quantum torpedoes.
@@rubaiyat300 This is exactly what happened during the later stages of the Dominion war. Many Galaxies were converted to actual fortresses and most of them survived the war, unlike the Oddyssey afaik.
JTVFX - You have treated all of us with your concepts and your work. I absolutely love the fact that in the ST:II Evil Reflection - you used a Phase II model; it seems so fitting now; I loved that. The shot of the Enterprise picking up the Reliant Crew, an excellent tie-in to how badly damaged the Enterprise was at the start of ST:III that was never explained in dialogue. But that now makes a lot more sense. Based on the hull damage sustained in ST:II - this tie in was perfect for that. Kudos--to the tweak at the end of the shot as the Enterprise went to warp - I noticed how you repurposed the order to go to Warp Speed while at Red Alert. I was initially skeptical about the Odyssey's final battle. In the episode - the Jem'Hadar fighters used pulses - but somehow you redid that fight and made it better with the beams--as that too MAKES MORE SENSE. As every other instance of their conflicts after that - they always used beams. So--yeah. This has been a treat--all the way around. Thank you for sharing this and take care of yourself. We will be here standing by.--FOR SURE. One last note, using the ST:VI sound track for this preview, BRAVO and amazing touch for this whole set. I love it.
I smiled from ear to ear seeing the Omarion Nebula get some love. Such stunning work, I hope you get better soon and appreciate the time and effort that goes into these awesome videos!
I can't wait for this your videos are awesome. I rewatched Best of Both worlds a few days ago and your depiction of the battle fits in perfectly. Whenever I watch the episodes I will always cut to your videos. It'll be great to see Asimov in action, and the klingons. I love that you've researched real science like the potential planet in the Wolf 359 system as well.
Before I proceed, my physical heath has taken a sudden down turn since I made my last post. So until I'm feeling better, work is halted on everything.

*Q&A Part 1*
- *What's the difference between "Concepts" and "Projects"?*
*Concepts* are basically, the "Alpha" stage projects. They are ideas of mine that only involve specific scenes. There is typically no full-scale planning at this stage. If I like what I'm seeing, I'll begin the planning stages when I have time.
(Note: There is *no* guaranteed release of concepts.)
*Projects* are the "Beta" stage before release. Almost always planned out at this point and actively being worked on. Work maybe slow, but it is ongoing.
*(Note: Except for "Wolf 359" and the "Odyssey Battle", there is currently no release dates for any other project/concept.)*
----
*(Project) Wolf 359: The Massacre, Part II - Q&A*
- *What's the battle going to be like?*
My concept while designing the massacre from the beginning was this:
*In Part One:* Admiral Hanson represents the *old* way of Starfleet thinking where diplomacy and peace reigned supreme and combat tactics were a distant second.
- *Planet "Wolf 359 b" ?*
While attempting to devise a battle plan for Part II, I was looking for anything within the Wolf system that might be useful to allow an ambush attack on the cube as I didn't want the cube to see the fleet coming like in Part I.
- *What's those flashes of light from the torpedoes?*
Actually, those are specially modified probes that designed primarily to send out fake warp signatures to the cube but also contain small amounts of anti-matter (less than a standard torpedo). Anyway, the flashes are Polyluminus Bursts (warp flares) based on the Voyager episode "Night." The only difference is that here the flares flash (or strobe); blinding and confusing the cube just long enough for Amasov's ships to move in and attack.
- *Will Riley Fraiser and other character's assimilated at Wolf 359 make an appearance?*
Yes. However, the extent of their appearances haven't been determined yet.
- *Will the Borg Queen and "Q" make an appearance also?*
They too will make appearances also. Again, the extent of their appearances haven't been determined yet.
- *Are we going to see the outcome for the Righteous?*
Yes. Those scenes have already been built. But they may be added to "Wolf 359: Aftermath" instead.
- *You said previously that the Klingons wouldn't arrive in time for the battle...*
I did say that, yes.
- *When will it be released?*
Hopefully sometime in September, but it could be as late as 2025. I've been working on it along side this preview to help establish the general direction I want to go with it. I've got the first half of the video in rough draft. But I still have the battle to plot out yet and that's not even factoring in the editing, finalizing the vfx, etc.
So be patient.
----
*(Project) The End of an Odyssey - Q&A*
- *What's this about?*
My attempt to flesh out the final voyage of the USS Odyssey and the first encounter between Starfleet and the Dominion. This will also showcase the battle from *both* sides, giving us a glimpse of how the Jem'Hadar viewed Starfleet's incursion into Dominion space and some of the decisions they make.
- *Why did the Jem'Hadar ship penatrate the Odyssey's shields?*
My reasoning is: if a Jem'Hadar solider can walk through a force field on DS9 and their weapons can pass through Federation shielding, why can't their ships pass through Federation shielding as well?
I wanted to show something that wasn't entirely clear in the episode: that Captain Keogh and the Odyssey crew tried everything and did everything right... but still lost.
- *When will it be released?*
Not until after my Wolf 359 series is completed and released first.
----
*(Concept) Star Trek: Generations - The Battle at Veridian III*
- *What's this about?*
My attempt to fix the halfassed way the Enterprise-D goes out in ST: Generations.
----
*(Concept) Star Trek: The "De-mastered" Series - Q&A*
- *What's this about?*
I never cared much for the 2006 Remastered space visuals for TOS. I get that they were trying to modernize the visuals to appeal to a younger audience, but in so doing, they lost much of the charm that was in the original model and camera work. Not to mention most of the cg effects have aged horribly in my opinion and ship movements have little to no weight to them.
- *What does "De-mastered" mean?*
My attempt at going back and approximating the visual style of the original '60's vfx, while keeping (certain) elements from the Remastered 2006 version (like new ship designs, etc.). Also, adding my own elements expanding on specific moments like "The Ultimate Computer" battle by adding new shots but filmed in the '60's style to add more immersion.
*The Ultimate Computer*
- *The Excalibur's nacelle caps should not be illuminated or animated...*
Originally, the Excalibur was identical to the Enterprise and the selling point of the shot was seeing her lose power and her engines stop spinning. Then I got the idea to change the ship configurations a bit for more variety and realized the selling point of the shot would be less effective if I made her nacelle caps solid, but at the same time, I wanted to change her configuration, so I kept them as they were.
*The Doomsday Machine*
- *Why do I hear the warp engines overloading?*
The same sound effect was used earlier in the episode when Kirk ordered the Constellation be given "full ahead" impulse power. I decided in conjunction with the visual of the impulse engines overloading, hearing the sound of it as well makes the scene more intense.
*(Q&A Continued in next comment...)*
*Q&A Part 2*
*(Concept) Star Trek II: An Evil Reflection - Q&A*
- *What's this about?*
Some time ago I was reading about "The Wrath of Khan's" production on Memory-Alpha and it was stated that at one point very early on that the Reliant was going to be another Constitution or "Enterprise-class" starship.
- *Are you going to do the Battle in the Mutara Nebula too?*
Once I figure out how to do the Nebula effects properly, sure.
----
*(Concept) Star Trek III: Prologue - Klingon Attack at Ceti Alpha V - Q&A*
- *What's this about?*
The idea behind this concept is my attempt to answer why the Enterprise looked so much more battered and worn when we see her in ST:III compared to ST:II.
----
*(Concept) Star Trek III - IV: An "Enterprising" Voyage Home - Q&A*
- *What's this about?*
I always wondered how ST:IV would have gone had the Enterprise survived ST:III.
- *Does this tie into your "Star Trek IV: Probe" video?*
Indirectly yes. I haven't had the skills necessary to pull off some of these sequences like the crash or fleeing Genesis until recently so it's been on the back burner for some time. As far as the crash goes... I have an alternate outcome if things don't work out. We'll see...
----
*(Concept) Star Trek Nemesis: Battle Group Omega Arrives - Q&A*
- *What's this about?*
Another scenario I've pondered over: what if "Battle Group Omega" arrived instead of the Romulans?
- *What ships are these?*
According to the tactical readout in ST: Nemesis the ships are:
USS Galaxy NCC-70637
USS Intrepid NCC-74600
USS Valiant NCC-75418 (Encyclopedia states Intrepid-class, chose Defiant-class for more variety)
USS Aries NCC-45167 (Renaissance-class, Ambassador-class sub type)
USS Hood NCC-42296
USS Archer NCC-44278 (Excelsior-class)
USS Nova NCC-73515
- *The Scimitar is supposed to be partially cloaked for this scene...*
In this depiction, the Enterprise manages to disable the Scimitar's cloak very early on in the battle unlike the film. This was done because of difficulty emulating the cloak effect used in the film, so to make life easier for me, I dropped it.
----
*(Concept) Battle of the Omarion Nebula - Q&A*
- *Will this be expanded on like Wolf 359?*
Yes! I hope to make it a similar format to what I used for Wolf 359:
- The Prelude
- The Battle (One-part battle this time)
- The Aftermath
We'd see things like the Jem' Hadar beaming onto Tain's bridge moments after Odo and Garak leave and capturing him. We'd also see the battle from maybe both perspectives including from other ships in Tain's fleet and it would continue until all of Tain's fleet is destroyed.
I haven't given it much thought so far, but it should be doable.
*(Q&A Continued in next comment...)*
----
*Q&A Part 3*
*(Project) Alien 3 - The Alternate - Q&A*
- *What's this about?*
The idea behind this project was to fix and/or flesh out (not just the intro) but specific scenes for a personal fan-edit of "A3" to answer some lingering questions left hanging since the films release. These include but are not limited to:
*- new expanded intro, including two facehuggers* based on the original novelization of "Alien 3" by Alan Dean Foster*
---- one is the "Royal" facehugger which infects Ripley and later the Ox/Dog (haven't decided yet)
---- the other is the normal facehugger we see in the original opening which causes the fire, this one dies on the Sulaco
---- moved the eggs to the dropship landing gear (where they should have been from the start)
---- the Sulaco computer attempts to contain and extinguish the fire (which fails)
---- three EEV's are launched instead of one (one of which crashes into the Sulaco causing an explosion)
- revised EEV crash sequence with onboard computer readouts detailing why the pod crashes
- revised scenes involving the rescue ship USCSS Patna
- revised ending which reveals the fate of the USS Sulaco based on story elements from the game "Alien: RPG"
- *BONUS!!!* a separate "dream" ending for those that consider "A3" to be a hyper sleep dream
- *What does "The Alternate" mean in the title?*
This project is based on my personal head canon which considers the film "Alien 3" (as we've seen it) to be part of an alternate timeline from the film "Aliens" and the game "Aliens: Colonial Marines." This way, its story doesn't interfere with either, yet can still remain canon (...at least to me anyway).
Which means that I've made the deliberate decision to *not* fix the visual continuity between films. Instead, I'm embracing David Fincher's art direction and set design for the Sulaco in "Alien 3" to sell the idea of an alternate timeline. Only the hangar bay set was retained from "Aliens" but re-colored and set brighter (to be more "dreamy" looking) to look how David Fincher might have filmed the set had he used it for "Alien 3."
- *Are you going to explain the egg plot hole?*
Obviously, I subscribe to the notion that the Queen was responsible for it.
----
*The Final Shot*
- *Is this part of Wolf 359?!*
No comment. I simply placed it here because it's a kick ass shot and I needed a big finisher for this video. Only time will tell if this gets used in a project...

„Battle Group Omega arrives“
I never knew I needed this, but I need this!
It was my original thought when I heard that a fleet was moving to assist the Enterprise.
"Enterprise to Battle group Omega, we have been intercepted and they have taken out our warp drive. Request reinforcements."
"Enterprise, Battle Omega copies. We are on our way. Hold on in there."
"Galaxy to fleet, set course for the Enterprise's position, maximum warp!"

More likely Enterprise dropped off their scopes and the fleet commander put 2 and 2 together.
@@Renorick1 More then likely that.
Either way, I'm hyped for that. Hopefully he decides to do it.
Originally "battle group omega" was to be in Nemisis but budget problems
I have mixed feelings.
On one hand, OF COURSE BATTLE GROUP OMEGA SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE!!!
On the other hand, I think that task group might have been a bit much, even for the mighty Scimitar.
Perhaps Shinzon can have yet another Scimitar class? Perhaps a D'deridex or two Raptors pilfered by the Remans? Just enough to even the odds?
OMG ARE YOU GIVING GENERATIONS A PROPER BATTLE SEQUENCE!? Truly this is a dream of mine to see. Cannot wait to see the whole thing.
That Generations battle would give 1701-D the treatment it deserved
I always thought they should have at LEAST made it a Vor'cha-class attack cruiser that destroyed the Enterprise. It makes far more sense that a heavier, modern warship could stand up to the vastly superior firepower of a Galaxy class instead of a retired 20+ year old Bird-of-Prey.
Nice how it also reflects the Klingon fleet from final battle in the Generations video game. (You have to win also against Romulens and Chodak to get the ending that saves the D.)
@@Gunnar001 Yea, but do you think the Duras sisters could procure such a ship? lol

Be well JTVFX. Thank you for all that you do for Star Trek. The Nemesis fight sequence was absolutely exhilarating!
It was always disappointing the rest of the fleet didn't get to fight Shinzon. I have been watching the film again and it is better than I remember and far better than Insurrection. Tom Hardy and Patrick Stewart worked very well together.

“I’m sorry. If this works, everyone will be sent back to where they belong.”
@@elijahroof1952”No! We won’t go back!”
"Must have been the Borg".
This was one of my favorite videos of 2023. Please keep up the outstanding work.
Greetings kuya
2023 was last year! lol
@@Rob_Morrison_GB He flew around the sun so quickly he time travelled to leave that comment
@@Rob_Morrison_GB They probably meant the first part of the Wolf 359 video lol
I always loved the battle of the Bassen Rift. Enterprise looks gorgeous, the battle sequence looks gorgeous, and that few moments after Enterprise disables Scimitar's cloak and goes absolutely bonkers firing everything she has always gives me goosebumps. But after seeing "Battle Group Omega Arrives", this task force coming to the rescue and the FREAKING GALAXY going nuts, blasting phasers and quantum torpedoes?! This is absolute cinema, thank you sir!
Especially as the Galaxy's Post dominion War likely were the ones with the wartime upgrades making them real monsters in a firefight.
@@KukulkanFeatheredSerpent
She's easily the equal to the Enterprise, which also goes to show what a ridiculous shitton of guns the Scimitar is packing.
Hated the Bassen Rift battle. They made a space battle in TREK boring! Not to mention GREEN ships firing GREEN weapons on a GREEN background. Did I mention the GREEN???
To be fair they were already monsters, not one on screen loss after the Odyssey debacle. Where they never fire photon torpedoes just at a start.
My brain just exploded from excitement! SALUTE TO YOU, FRIEND!
P.S. As a music scholar, your choices pertaining to soundtrack are flawless!
The D versus a Klingon battle group is so much better than a single Bird-of-Prey. Everything looks incredible, I can't wait!
The Generations and Battle Group Omega concepts look amazing. Excellent work.
Wow! A bounty of riches. Can't wait for Part II. Glad you're establishing that the Klingons took part. Please take care of yourself and feel better soon!
Got confused when it switched to Romulans attacking the Enterprise. I thought "wth is going on?". 😉
I love these videos, WOLF 359 is by far and away the best piece of fan fiction I have ever seen. The battle we never got to see brought to life to such a high standard. I cant wait to see what you do next. I wish you well on your recovery.
Love seeing the Galaxy and Oydessy. The ending was perfect with the music. Great job guys!!!!
Galaxy Class starship firing quantum torpedoes. Splendid!
Bruh, the shot of Battlegroup Omega sweeping in as the music swells is so good. Reminds me of the old sizzlers they used to show on the VHS sets of the movies back in the day.
Oh we are so back. I cannot wait to eat this all up when it comes out. You are truly doing Kahless’ work. Spectacular!
"If the Continuum's told you once, they've told you a thousand times. Give this legend a job at Paramount!"
I hope you get well soon! Really looking forward to The Massacre Part 2, and I love the idea of an extended Odyssey battle 🙌🏻

Imagine the D with transphasic torpedos
might i guess this is a tng parralels references (the borg is everywhere?)
@episilion it could be worse it could babylon 5 overwhelmed by shadows from war without end part 1
I love this channel with every fiber of my being
Wow
1st, i hope you get better.
2nd, this video is awesome
3rd, your Massacre and build up was excellent. Finally seeing the Battle of Wolf 359 far exceeded my expectations.
Thank you

Incredible talent and vision. I wish you well and hope you are able to return to your projects soon. Be well.
Thank you very much for the sharing. Your version of the Wolf 359 is the best ever! My sincerest gratitude for your sharing of the top quality, extraordinary work, and my hope for your full recovery later!!
The "battle group omega arrives "was the closet to my " dream concept" of a dominion war refit Enterprise-D fighting Scimitar .
It’s almost embarrassing how talented you are, amazing work.
Seeing the Klingons arrive to help fight the Borg cube was very cool.
That final shot... to quote Galaxy Quest:
"Well (screw) that!!!!" 😂
Man I love these videos. This gets me excited about Star Trek again.
The shot of the Enterprise with the massive amount of Borg cubes is like the Destiny book series where 7000 Borg cubes laid waste to the Alpha Quadrant and destroyed entire worlds like Risa and Deneva and races like the Nausicans were wiped out.
I really need to read that trilogy.
You made the Borg scary again! The Borg should always invoke the ultimate terror, and I'm glad you've done that with these videos!
Really like the concept you showed here of what if the Federation task force had arrived to assist the Enterprise-E in the Bassen Rift against the Scimitar.
I've been looking forward to this lol. Can't wait to see the full videos!!!!! You do an AMAZING Job.
MAGNIFICENT! A Treasure Trove Of Excellent Previews Especially That Final Shot Of The Enterprise D Closing In On The Borg Fleet Is Truly Chilling

I’ve got goosebumps from that Nemesis shot, it looks like you’re at work improving or fixing scenes like Generation’s infamous battle. Can’t wait!
2:59 YES!! I've been waiting for this video ever since I saw the Star Trek IV Probe video nearly 3 years ago!
Agree with your comment on the Borg, which is why I couldn't believe ST: Picard. 😉
I have always wanted a bit more space battle.
@@RobSchellinger I was hoping the Borg would 'evolve' closer to what we saw from that Voyager episode with tech from the 29th century and become more of a threat. Janeway's virus had consequences.
You friggin' legend! Thanks for sharing all these, but your health comes first - I hope you get to feeling better soon!
I think that may be audio from a Voyager episode where Seven remembers being assimilated on board the Raven.
@@Wingnut00-zero I had initially wondered that myself, but since I haven't watched Voyager in quite a while, I wasn't sure. Well used, all the same!
OH JTVFX, you trying o break the internet again?
Fantastic work! I think I'm looking forward to "An Enterprising Voyage Home" more than anything surprisingly. Wolf 359 finale looks amazing.
Yes me too!!
This is absolutely OUTSTANDING Work!!! Visuals, music, editing, all of it, incredible!
Those were some outstanding renders. I really look forward to seeing the full episodes. Take your time. There's no rush.
Everything is excellent! Fantastic conclusion with the Final Shot which gives off "Parallels" vibes.
Been waiting for Part 2!!! My body is ready!!! Keep up the great work!
That opening shot.. oh man.. the screams of those taken by the Borg at wolf359 .. you truly made it terrifying.. amazing work, well done. I also pray you feel better soon and get well. 🙏 God bless you!
I hope this continues, this has been one of my favourite video series ever!!!
Love that your Nemesis remaster has the 1701-E clear out of the way of the Galaxy fleet. Much props to the Sovereign Class, but Galaxies always look amazing in battle.
I haven't been this excited for a new Star Trek thing since the early 2000s. Wow. This looks awesome!
Take as much time as you need, we’ll still be here - the quality makes the wait absolutely worth it!
Man all of these just look incredible The Battle of Veridian 3 and Battle Group Omega look just like they came out of that era of trek
Bro hearing that kid screaming like that is terrifying.
I agree, that was from Voyager, the episode is called Infinite regress and it was a perfect addition to this video.
Holysh*t dude, I cannot wait. You continue to capture the tone and feel of Trek so goddamn well. I love it!
Beautiful! That Nemesis short was perfection!!
Chefs kiss!
AMAZING!!! I loved all these concepts, especially TOS Demastered, Veridian 3, and the Odyssey Battle. Never stop creating :)
I agree with you wholeheartedly about the battle of Veridian III, I love that you used the PC game adaptation and Yesterday's Enterprise as inspiration for the revised battle. I'm looking forward to seeing it, but I'd prefer for you to focus on getting better.
These concepts look great! I really love the Wolf 359 story you've made. Can't wait to see that conclude.
Finally, somebody has redone the Enterprise D Verdian III attack almost exactly how I envisioned it should have gone down. The ship going down in a blaze of glory, rather than the pathetic battle, that made the crew look incompetent. Thank you.
Amazing as always from the tale of Wolf 359 to fixing Generations to reretroing TOS. Best Star Trek content around today.
The USS Reliant as a phase 2 Constitution class was cool it is like an older evil version of the Enterprise .
And as I said in another comment on your artwork:
You would be one of the few people here on TH-cam whose great work I would really donate to. All the best, Alex
I love that the Galaxy has Quantum Torpedoes.
I love it.
Wow!!! These are amazing!!!! I can't wait for them!
I smiled from ear to ear seeing the Omarion Nebula get some love. Such stunning work, I hope you get better soon and appreciate the time and effort that goes into these awesome videos!
3:20 Alternating between photon and quantum torpedoes on the fly from the Galaxy?
I can't wait for this your videos are awesome.
I rewatched Best of Both worlds a few days ago and your depiction of the battle fits in perfectly. Whenever I watch the episodes I will always cut to your videos. It'll be great to see Asimov in action, and the klingons.
I love that you've researched real science like the potential planet in the Wolf 359 system as well.
I got chills watching this, the Reliant as an old phase 2 Connie was fire 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
