Hi Pene. Hope that you're both well. All cosy here in front of the fire. Yesterday's snow has melted, but it's bitterly cold. Thanks for sharing your friends, beautiful makes. The quilts were lovely. I'm busy making my dad some socks for his birthday next week. Using Dk and a broken rib. They're super squishy. Then, onto a pair for my boy who has big feet... size 12. I'm looking forward to next week's episode already. Socks knitting and parkin.😊 xx
I must say its colder here today and is starting to look wintry. Nothing like you have though. I haven't tried DK but I think I will give it a go. Ooh, size 12, now that is love! See you soon. xx
Hi there. Lovely to see you & how cozy you look up beside the your glowing fire. Loved seeing your friend’s beautiful handiwork. Thank you for the close up of the Egret’s feet I never knew they were so bright! Stay warm & take care both of you. Love Dianne 🧶 x
Egret's feet are amazing and I was so lucky that he chose the time we were down there to have an amble about and then to catch a fish! Wrap up and stay warm too. xx
I especially loved both the bird and human activity in the film at the end! What a perfect catching of a fish! And what an amazing range of things Heather has made - thank you for showing her wonderful makes. xx
Hi Pene, thank you for showing your friend Heather's crafts, they are all lovely especially the mice with their quilts. It was better than a sweet shop! Makes me want to do more crafting. The cake looked yummy and I'm sure it was. The film at the end was delightful and you seem to be having milder weather than we are in the North. Very cold, icy week, but hey ho, its winter. Take care and stay warm.
Heating on for the first time today, although it's not cold cold. There is a north south divide at the moment I think. Definitely chilly though and hats and shawls went on for our walk today. So pleased you liked seeing all Heather's makes - they are inspirational. See you soon and keep warm. xx
Hi Pene Thanks for another lovely Chinwag 😊and a delicious cake 🍰 lemon curd and cream…a match made in heaven ❤ It was lovely seeing all the lovely sewing and quilting that Heather has made ,if the postage wasn’t so expensive to NZ I would be very tempted to buy something.Take care
Oh I love the matchbox mice! As Pens family say , oh I want one ! Very cool case over the books. Nicccce love the project bags, so useful. Good luck at the sales heather
I love your videos Pene, they really set me up for the day when I watch them first thing. Heather’s makes were beautiful and I think she underpriced most of them. The blue elephant would have gone straight in my basket! Your “interesting facts” are totally fascinating. Thankyou so much, love to you and Pete. Xx
I love the socks you knit. The little detail near the toe is nice! Heather sure has made a lot of lovely things!! I hope her market goes well for her! Take care, Pene. ❤
Hi Penelope. So lovely to spend some time with you again. I love the socks and I would look forward to a whole episode on socks. I have never made any but I have some sock wool so would like to give it a go. Heather has been a busy beaver and has so many lovely things to sell. Also loved seeing the sea and all the activity. Take care xx
That many synapses in my brain, wow. It’s amazing how many I don’t use! Heather’s crafts were absolutely lovely, hope she did well at the sale! Pene your knitting is so beautiful!
I love to see craft fair items. The mice are so cute, I really like a little animal with accessories🤗. Her scrappy quilts are charming. Your cakes always look so good. I don't know if I've ever used semolina. Today it has been trying to snow, but it is too warm for it to stick. Even now as the sun is starting to go down, the clouds are breaking up and still snowflakes are falling. If it were rain, it would be drizzle. I had a picture come up on Facebook from two years ago showing about six inches of snow! We could sure use that moisture. The facts about the stars and synapses in the brain, mind boggling🤔. Thanks for sharing😊
Thanks Karen, the cake is very tasty and a bit different. Hope you get the weather you would like! and yes, stars and synapses boggled my brain too. xx
So pleased you are going to talk about socks next Penne!Thank you again for all the interesting facts you told us this week.An absolute joy to watch your video yet again.❤
Hi Pene good to see you again lovely video, your friend made beautiful things to, just brought a couple from your lovely friend, there beautiful your quilts, I couldn’t have the patience to them, did thought about trying EPP but I wouldn’t know where to start xx
Thanks Sherrie, I agree so much work and love put into Heather's crafting. You know that it's not as easy as it looks to make a scrap quilt and I was having a great tidy up and gave Heather two bags of small scraps I had saved. Bingo beautiful quilts! Thanks for your comment. xx
Thanks Linda, Heather is a wonderful crafter and like you uses every scrap she can find. I gave her two huge black sacks of off cuts and things I had been trying out and bingo quilts galore. Marvellous. xx
November seems to bring a bit of melancholy with it, but hopefully the holidays will soon pick us up. Meanwhile, it was wonderful to be reminded of the wonder of the universe and our bodies. It puts any worries in perspective . Thanks Pene.
Lovely episode Pene. Your crafting friend is very productive..love seeing the handicrafts of friends. Its weird that we only use 1/3 of brain capacity..apparently. You are a beautiful soul. Blessings
Hi Penelope lovely video your jumper looks lovely ! The socks you have knitted very nice aswell 👌 looking forward to your next vlog until then you both keep warm an well ❤x😊
Thanks Mitzi, still not sold on the brown circle around the yoke but heyho that's spincycle! We have the heating on today. First time. Its cold! We are lovely and warm after our walk and going to have a quiet afternoon. Take care of yourself too. xx
The numbers just boggle the mind! I wonder how many we use to knit socks. We have hang gliders or whatever they are called now, flying off our local 'mountain' I see them quite often at certain times of the year. They try and take off and circle around and land back where they start as it's a steep climb back to the 'port if they miss. Loved the yellow feet, our egrets must be in deeper water as I don't recall seeing that before. Thanks. Jane
I use all of mine to knit socks! You don't often see egrets feet here, it just so happened we were there at the right time when he decided to get out on the rocks, smashing! They are huge!
G’day Penne, ooooh another fun & educational episode love ‘facts’, cooking, crafting, video……….well ALL of it really 😅😅 You’re a wonderful teacher Penne, look what Heather has created 💫⭐️⭐️⭐️💫💫 kindness you are for sure. Oh hoped you’d include lemon spread recipe 🍋🍋🍋🍋 Take care 🇦🇺
Hi Pene, I'm sat winding mohair and sock wool while watching you, trying to part them, it's taking a while Heather's work is beautiful and I wish her all the best for her stall Yummy, I love anything with lemon so I'm going to ask Tom to make it at some point My Mom used to make a pineapple torte back in 70's. It was a mixture of cream cheese and cream mainly with crushed pineapple on top with a biscuit base. Not quite a cheesecake but very nice
Hello Pene what a lovely film today 😊your lemon cake looks delicious, socks fab as usual. Your friend Heather is so talented. Desperately wanted the little elephant as soon as she said he keeps getting left behind 😢does she have a shop? Love to you and Pete and now Sidney 🐈⬛😹xx❤
buzzybharris@gmail.com. If you email Heather she will get in touch with you and you can make a purchase! Marvellous, thanks. I'll pass the love on to Sidney! xx
Penny, I so enjoyed your last video when you visited your friend Heather. My granddaughter was watching with me and fell in love with her little mice. How do we contact her to buy them?

They are underpriced but round here it's not easy to sell handicrafts, it's such a shame. I agree the elephant is super. xx

Thanks Debbie, just that little stitch round the toe makes a difference to plain socks I think. Only the wearer knows they are there!
