I feel like these games would have to be ridiculously groundbreaking considering how good they were. The amount of detail they have to put in will be crazy!

Everyone forgets Mac Calander. He saved Arthur and died due to Blackwater. And anytime hes mentioned in the game hes spoken of in a quite neutral way. It would fit with how each game ends
Exactly!! Plus he is mentioned a lot throughout the story, and even in side conversations at camp and stuff. Looks to me like they may go that route to fill the void and mystery of him, plus the way his story ended could be made to fit a “redemption” as he saves Arthur and sacrifices himself
I think Dutch, Arthur and John's story is complete. It's probably left for us to fill in the blanks. I always imagine RDR3 to be in the prime of the wild west and maybe have a prime Landon Ricketts as your main character, maybe they pull a GTA 6 where you have 2 playable characters and the other could be Red Harlow. There might be probably a lot of plot holes from what I want to happen. But hey, wishful thinking I guess.
Man, can u imagine what this game will be. If their shooting for 2030 window, that also means ps6, so this game will be huge, like gigantic and literal photo graphics. Just a beautiful masterpiece. I'm calling it now....
Definitely not PS6. They'd need the dev kits for that console. SONY is currently developing the PS5 pro.
@@harlempunk4481 so u honestly believe that the devs don't have access to that already? Being they have a 6 r 7 yrs to work on this game, Sony could possibly have the tech now. And some developers could have games in early development to drop when the console drops. (Just having a convo)
@@nippy3126 Way too early. Devs usually get the dev kits a year before the release of the console. Check the Ps4 dev kits and PS5 dev kits history. The only studios to get earlier access are first party studios. rockstar isnt a first party studio. Unless somehow the Ps6 is coming next year, then you could be right.

@@harlempunk4481ngl at this rate it might be a while before we get a ps6 , look at how long it took to get the 5, and not saying that it’s not great , it’s just what more can they improve on, the jump from ps4 to ps5 probably was the closest from any console, which shows that consoles are around their peak for the technology we have.
I think the Callender Brothers will be the main characters. We know they both die, which would be consistent with the other 2 main characters.
Not sure we know how they die and we now that they become part of the gang before blackwater we are gonna play as Arthur/dutch
I really don't care which way they take the story as long as it stays in the wild west.

I hope to play as younger Duch when he was in his prime. In the beginning of rdr2 I found Duch to be a very likeable character so I hope in the future it will be like that in rdr3 it’s also crazy for me that I’ll be in my 20s when the game comes out, kinda scary ICL
Yh probably change the tragedy what happened to see what happens with Arthur. I would like if u have the option to be with Micah like rdr2 or go with Arthur and John’s side
If the game really came at that time I might be dead, or alive and already have a family but either way it's not really known tho they have different studios
What is most logical is that we play as Mac or Jenny, having the Blackwater Massacre be the final mission before we shift to Arthur.
I honestly would like to see/play through the Blackwater Fairy Job! Potentially even play as Dutch? Though for the world there are many possibilities for the main character, potentially some not even involving the Van Der Linde gang? (I personally love the RDR games and I really hope we get more games for the franchise)
I wana see landon rickets. They talked about in 2010 . I remebr ppl wanted to see the back story of landon rickets bc he was old in the rdr and he was "THE FASTEST GUNSLINGER" they portray in the game

Totally down for RDR3. Think would be interesting to go for prequel. Tough to be patient especially if have to wait another seven years or so for one. Playing RDR2 for first time right now and at Epilogue and loved experience. Plan play through RDR 1 soon afterwards.
The prequel would be full of nature jungle snow swamps etc etx , not even villages💀

Maybe Mac Calendars story. The scene where Arthur first meets the pinkertons, they speak of them killing Mac in black water. Mac was an associate of Arthur based how pissed he got when they explained his death.
I think it would be awesome if they made a tv series on Netflix for Red Dead Redemption.

im sick of everything being adapted into another form of media. it most often just ruins the story because the different mediums tell stories in different ways; a tv show would gut rdr2 of the world and interactions with the gang in camp

Red Dead Redemption just keeps goin back in history for that Redemption.
They should probably bring us back Arthur in his very early ages and tell us how the gang did that jobs in Blackwater and how they got such a fight with government in there
They should do a story of young Uncle running with a gang in the early Wild West up until his deadly lumbago diagnosis
I think if they go with the idea of another prequel, it will probably start sometime around the Civil War, but there’s some questioning about involving Dutch Vanderlin’s game with the confederacy. The better idea is to say that the gang formed out of union in Veterans and exslaves. However, going the other direction and having a sequel, RDR could actually establish a connection between red, dead redemption and GTA.
I hope RDR3 takes place in the very early point of the Van Der Linde gang with of course the ending being the black water heist. Just hoping
In my opinion, red dead is the best game series that rockstar has ever made, it’s 1 million times better than GTA 5. I’m so excited for red dead redemption 3!

if it is supposed to be a 'Wild West' game, they cant go too much ahead in the future, coz the wild west as we know it kinda ended not long after the red dead events, around the WW1 time i believe. If so, they kinda have to cut out the 'wild west' theme.

Hear me out:
RDR3 is gonna star Red (as in the main character in Red Dead Revolver), player will experience kind of the main story as Red Dead Revolver, but kind of rebooted.
Next, Red meets Dutch and shows him the ropes (for some reason).
Red dies, passing the torch to a young Arthur Morgan (the Epilogue new playable character); the game ends when they find a young John Marston and Dutch (and Hosea and Arthur) recruit him in the gang.
Dutch talks about the big one: a score in Blackwater, but they're not ready... for now.
Roll credits.
I really hope it's placed 1915 to 1920 north west america still cowboys horses wagons etc but the first roads cars better technology guns. I feel like this time in America was very exciting and revolutionary. I would also like to see homesteading the homebuild in 2 was satisfying imagine having a Yellowstone type ranch
honestly i would like to play asyoung dutch, how he got the gang togheter, how he was a father figure to arthur and what actually made arthur so loyal to him, what happened in his life to make him go so sideways in the end

I think RDR 3 should be based on Landon Ricketts in his hayday in the active years of the Wild West (1873 to 1885) and not the waning years ! Run into characters like Wild Bill, Wyatt Earp, Billy the kid etc. etc.

Jack After the end of rdr1 Just retired and became a writer and he dies in 1996 he wrote a book that talk about the gang before he dies
most likely things calmed down with jack and the others coz the wild west era kinda ended around the time period of rdr1

I think we’re getting a game as jack in Chicago 1920s he becomes mob tied after the passing of his mother. It’s basically a mafia game but it’ll be rdr3 and it’ll be epic

It makes sense. So this is how I noticed they been releasing their games after the GTA Trilogy.
PS3: GTA 4 and Red Dead
PS4: GTA 5 and Red Dead 2
So it will only make sense that that PS5 will bring us GTA 6 and Red Dead 3. Releasing both major games in just one console generation isn't a bad way to do business.

This is a bad idea. Young Arthur means a different actor to portray him, and the reason we love Arthur is because of Roger Clark (his actor, in case you didn’t know). Also, young Arthur would have none of the skills he has in RDR2 cuz he’d just be a teenager, so he would be awful to play as. Ending on the Blackwater Massacre is a terrible way to end a game. We already know what happens. There is no conclusion, and the end of a story needs a conclusion. How would we continue playing after the main story?
Imagine if this is gonna be about Jack and his story or you get to play as young John or Arthur
I think it will be the gangs early days and end with the black water massacre and will show John and Arthur’s early years

As long as the computer characters (NPC's) have real AI and vary their behavior and reactions to you. It gets stale in these games when the NPC's do the same thing, and say the same things
It kinda cracks me up when people casually state that RDR3 might be in for a 2030 release. It's like do these people think they live forever? GTA5 released in 2013 and GTA6 probably releases 2024 or 2025, that's 11-12 years apart. So an average human can enjoy GTA games from 15 years old to about 70, which is about 4.5 GTA games in their whole lifetime and apparently that goes for RDR series too.
Hear me out....I think RS has told the Van dir Linde gang story well. I think we need to switch it up a little. Let's follow another gang set in the Midwest. Something like Jesse James. Use the Black Hills as part of the setting. Absolute. Gold!

Imagine a red dead redemption game where you play as Jack Marston seeking revenge for his father. The story begins right after John's death and continues up to late 50's where Jack becomes a motorcycle club president, after taking part in ww2. The trailer will be covered by Saxons-run like the wind depicting Jack running on a horse and then on a motorcycle
I’m more excited for RDR3, I just hope they don’t take to long making the game, would be so happy if it came out within the next year or 2. Hopefully they start making all games quicker. I’m still waiting for Star Wars Eclipse.

I honestly dont care who we play as, as long as we are getting a Red Dead Redemption 3 I am happy as. in saying this I think itd be best if we start of as Dutch and everytime we meet a new member we get to play a bit as them when we get their back story then we go back to dutch i think this would be a really go idea.

Remember folks A.i will shorten the time . Unlike the past . So I feel the got the writing done already . Most of the work is voice acting and motion capture . But the have a lot of past motion captures .. so. I feel the time won’t be as long as GTA ..

You play as Dutch and you save Arthur and John marston from a young age and later the birth of the Vander land gang then also you get to see them with relationships like John and Abigail and they will end it with the black water massacre

It seems like it being the blackwater ferry incident is most likely since it’s a big event but we don’t know much about it
How does that have anything to do with what RDR is about? Blackwater was nothing more than a heist gone wrong… that’s it. There’s no deeper, more significant meaning to it that needs to be revealed. They won’t spend the better part of a decade making a game just for the purpose of showing the fine details of that event. It’s not important. I don’t quite understand why so many fans are so hung up on the Blackwater incident. I think it’s because fans mistake RDR for being all about the Van der Linde gang and everything that happened with it, but it’s not. RDR is about the death of the Wild West, which is why we started the story with the gang already on its decline. The gang before then is not important to the story, it just represents the last days of western civilization before it became modernized with technology and social progress. As the gang died, so too did the era of outlaws and cowboys. There is literally no point to another prequel just to show what happened at the Blackwater Massacre. That would be a tremendous waste.
@@StruttinStrayCat Not to mention that making another game with the ending being Blackwater would be extremely uninteresting because of how closely it is timewise to RD2. All the characters would look and act the same way due to not enough time passing to grow personally.

Arthur was an excellent and lovable character, but we need a new excellent character - prob a Mexican or Native American - to fall in love with. This prequel idea would be fine for a movie, but it would make for an absolutely pointless game.
@@StruttinStrayCat Personally i would for them to make a game about Javier, as i feel he was underutilized in RDR2, plus i like the voice actor that plays him. It'd probably never happen because he's an antagonist and that wouldn't fit the redemption theme. Probably a bad idea, I just think it'd be cool to play as him in mexico just after RDR2.

Every one seems to forget the point and meaning of a red dead redemption game its literally in the name "redemption " u have to play as someone who dies and then who u take over with after they die gets redemption for there death so alot of these theories and suggestions that's being thrown out there just won't cut it and doesn't work.

I think it would be really cool if it was based on Hosea and Dutch, and could be when the gang started up with just John Arthur Dutch and Hosea. And maybe it could end at the botched job in Blackwater.
RDR2 had some tiny hints into the what RDR3 might be. It was something about older gang members. Some brothers.
I assume you are talking about the callender brothers? It's an interesting idea, but we learn in RDR2 that they were both violent pricks even when they died, so im not sure how they could spin that into a game about redemption. Anything is possible.

Can’t play as Dutch. His name is tarnished after RDR2. He’s a dog, betrayed gang members and fans of the game. Dutch & Hosea taking in a young John & Arthur would work. Moving between characters like in GTA5.

because if its after red dead 1 it would mostly likely be 1924 and L.A. Noire gta area moving more away from western and more to morden times if before red dead 2 it be most likely 1886 moving more to western area

If they continue the story and set in a later date and time so we could have STEAM POWERED CARS and other weird inventions of the time, that would be cool playing as Jack
