After trying out 15+ pilates channels on TH-cam, this is the only one I enjoyed, and could understand easily. I love the gentle workouts that you include, and the challenges that help to work my body a bit more. Thank you so much for this!! I recently bought a mat, as well, and it is so much more comfy than my carpeted room 😂
I so agree on the gentle workouts. While I do want to get more toned I think there are definitely slower more gentle workouts that can achieve that goal. I personally am not into torture :).
Being able to do this 2 months PP is such a good feeling! I did her TH-cam workouts throughout my pregnancy alongside Christian Hypnbirthing and it really made my labor go so much smoother. This was the first time I've managed to roll into sitting position from laying on my back without a back spasm- (I suffer from chronic lower back pain after over stretching a ligament 2 years ago) I started these pilates sessions to try and help my movement. They're making such a difference, thank you!

It’s been really hard to find a good warmup video - especially for the morning. I have an unidentified back, neck, and shoulder issue - illness? Injury? Who knows. But it makes workouts tricky - some are too much static stretch, some are too much movement, some are too much weight bearing, some are too little. This was a perfect balance. Thank you so much for this video - I’ll be referring to it often!
Yes I'd been looking for something so gentle like this as well. I am a total beginner and was not willing to do complicated moves for 40 minutes...wasn't happening. Robin is just what she says gentle.

Thanks for making this routine. Some mornings, I don't feel like working out or doing anything. It is short enough that I compromise and say, just do the pilates routine. Some days, I will even do more because it is so energizing. Some days, I just pat myself on the back for getting this done.

I know that probably sounds pretty sad but I am just starting to explore Pilates after having spent the last 7 years dealing with chronic pain which basically put me off any exercise. Is this suitable for me if I have spinal injury? Waiting for spinal fusion operation already had one operation. The surgeon said Pilates would be good to keep mobilised. If not could you recommend one of your videos that’s more appropriate? Many thanks 🙏 going to try to get into a morning routine instead of wasting away waiting for surgery! I love this workout. Not too hard but I can still see room for improvement for me. My tummy feels more toned, my ankle, which is why I started doing this has improved in flexibility (I twisted it months ago & started to noticed it being very stiff). Thank-you for sharing your knowledge.

I do this every morning and I love it. Can you show some for lower back strengthening please as I have a slight bulging disc in L4/L5 so need to make this stronger.. also is there any reason why went sat with legs bent it feels achey at the top of my thighs near the hip flexors I suppose I mean?

I can't give individualized advice since I haven't seen you in person and every body is different, but Pilates in general is a great type of exercise to strengthen your back and your core which supports your back. If you have specific health questions or concerns, we do recommend first speaking with your medical provider to make sure you're cleared to do Pilates. Hi Michelle! This is likely due to not having enough cushion/support underneath. You might want to try using a thicker Pilates mat, or you can try putting folded towels or even blankets underneath to help. 😊

@@wearelindywell awesome thx Robin .. figured the hydration could be an issue .. will try the warm up idea … I have been using a ball at night to rub over the foot and it helps. I obviously need to get at this more and with regularity. My mother said she attended a class (at 80 plus .. she is awesome) that involved message with a ball the entire class. Do you provide any of these classes or have you ever heard of them ?

Hi there! We encourage you to have padding/support for you back when practicing this exercise called Rolling Like a Ball. If you do not have a Pilates mat, you can use a couple towels or blankets on your hardwood floor. We hope this helps! We're cheering you on in your Pilates journey!

Hi! Thank you so much for your message. Our workouts are designed for all levels and ages! Pilates is also relatively low impact, which you may find beneficial. If you have specific health questions or concerns, we do recommend first speaking with your medical provider to make sure you're cleared to do Pilates. If so, we encourage you to go at your own pace and modify (or skip) certain exercises based on your needs and comfort level. 😊 And very close - this is in Santa Barbara!
Any advice for when you're doing the ball and it kinda hurts on the tailbone?
Hi Michelle! This is likely due to not having enough cushion/support underneath. You might want to try using a thicker Pilates mat, or you can try putting folded towels or even blankets underneath to help. 😊

Robin. I often get a powerful cramp in my left foot during the class. Any suggestions. I am doing something wrong

@@wearelindywell awesome thx Robin .. figured the hydration could be an issue .. will try the warm up idea … I have been using a ball at night to rub over the foot and it helps. I obviously need to get at this more and with regularity. My mother said she attended a class (at 80 plus .. she is awesome) that involved message with a ball the entire class. Do you provide any of these classes or have you ever heard of them ?
That's great to hear, Melissa, we're glad it's helping! Continued gentle stretching and improved hydration should definitely help lessen the cramps you're experiencing.
You're mother does sound amazing!💪 We have definitely heard of these classes that use balls and foam rollers to help stretch muscles and can add a level of challenge to the workout. Hi there! We encourage you to have padding/support for you back when practicing this exercise called Rolling Like a Ball. If you do not have a Pilates mat, you can use a couple towels or blankets on your hardwood floor. We hope this helps! We're cheering you on in your Pilates journey!
I hate how painful this is for me to do, I’m currently have knee problems which cause severe tightness in the back of my thighs
