    Beginner Pilates that is actually beginner friendly ... hooray! 🥳🥳
    I am supporting my body after a long journey with fatigue and headaches. I want to build strength and move more often, but most online workouts are too intense and leave you feeling deflated.
    Thank you for providing this space where I can move my body in whatever way feels right today 💕💕

    This is the first 'beginner' tutorial that I feel is actually suited to my level! It's gentle and simple to follow but I definitely still feel like I got a good workout!

    I do yoga every morning because it is ever so good for me. Only not always for my chronic left lower backpain, it even sometimes worsens it... All I could think was; I need to somehow get some Pilates. So then I did this exercise and I could just feel the backpain start to melt away! Thank you so so so much!

    I love that you go into so much form detail. I'm realizing that I tend to flatten my lower back when doing exercises on my back. Can you explain why it's important to keep a neutral spine during these exercises?

      This is a great question! In the same way that you don't want to overarch your back, you want to avoid flattening your back, at least as you gain more strength and control. In neutral position, this would be your natural posture and the position you'll be gaining strength and stability, avoiding over-compensation in other areas like your hips and shoulders, as well as avoiding injury. Hope this is helpful! :)

    I did the beginner series workouts followed by this one so about an hour altogether. It was really good, very well explained. My body was trembling. I ve been following some videos but found I was ending up with more aches. So needed the basics. I will continue to do this every other day. You explained neutral spine so well. Loved it.

    Wow! Looks so simple but very difficult for me to do some of these movements. I’m hoping I can make some progress so it’s not so difficult.

      Hi Wende, keep up the great work! We encourage you to always listen to your body, go at your own pace, and modify (or skip) certain exercises based on your needs and comfort level.     Love the workout, thank you! Would you recommend any of your videos for someone with pain in low back (kind of like the last vertebrae) and sharp neck pain? My understanding was to stop working out, but doctor said to carry on as stopping exercise would be even worse and that I need to build strength and lubricate joints etc.

      Hi there! You might enjoy some of our stretching or foam rolling routines, as long as you're cleared by a medical provider. Also, Pilates as a whole is so good for helping build core strength, which can help with the lower back - so know that as you continue with Pilates, you will continue to build strength and reduce aches/pains/tension!

      Exactly. You need to keep going. Stopping will only exacerbate the pain as a result of muscles, tissue not strengthened or supported. That's what got me started in Pilates, and realizing that I wasn't even doing the stretch required to get down on the floor anymore.
