I know you've been in a lot of controversy recently and I just wanted to say thank you on behalf of everybody for keeping the videos coming as usual and ive been watching since God knows when and I'm glad it's the same old oxhorn, thank you ox.

There have been some guys digging up stuff from a long time ago and taking things out of context to try and make him look bad. Oxhorn just made a video on it recently.
@@kaltonian I've even seen people getting mad at how he lights his cigars and claim its proof he's not a real man. Gotta love that TH-cam drama.
I actually feel very annoyed on how hard some people try to take others down, I could care less of what many people have done in the past or their beliefs, so I'm staying right here.

Fallout1,2,3,NV,4 = Lets go do quests to: find people , help people, find things for people or ourselves, decide the fate of settlements or build our own.
Fallout76= Look at theese structures and notes, what happend here? all while chasing holotapes of a person we never met

I always thought the guards just pretended the reporter had a gun, already seeing it was a recorder, to have an excuse to shoot him. Loudly calling "he has a gun" gave the guard a recorded excuse.

Yeah, but that may be due to the bombs dropping, and previous orders were messed up. Also, they don't confuse microphones with guns. And speaking on the matter, Fallout protagonists are usually well armed.

Ok, so around 4:56 I'm watching the video and enjoying the tour of the mansion as he's saying "and to the east we find...." it cuts off with an ad that immediately just says "Dave and Buster!" And I think for a second he found a Dave and Buster in the mansion! Lol!
ox, easy money making tip, pick up all the meds you find, put them in your stash, then when your ready sell them all. my 3rd character is lol 26 with 1600 caps.

Fun fact: the stuffed bear models are reused from the skyrim bears. I found that funny.
Yeah a lot of people would complain about them reusing assets from other bgs games but tbh its actually pretty smart. Saves time for other things
Ox a note about the two dining rooms: the small one is mainly for the help to sit and eat when the final course is served, or to rest when not working on.
Rather doubt the guard mistook his camera for a gun, seems more likely "it's that reporter (oh crap we're in trouble that he's here), shit (he's seen something he shouldn't have, what do we do? I know), he's got a gun!" bang bang.
Fyi, that machine is called a Wheel Loader, not a bulldozer.
I will admit, the view is gorgeous, love all the detail Bethesda puts into their games like this

I got the distinct impression that the security didn't "mistake" the Reporter's recording device for a gun, but rather used the opportunity to get rid of him, using the claim they thought he was armed to give them plausible deniability from a legal standpoint. After all they recognised him as a reporter and not a protester or someone with violent intent, and he had just seen something he was not meant to

Do you have a specific method for telling if loot is randomized, or do you just run through the same area with a different character?

It is differentiable by just noticing the different kind of loot. Random loot (different themed items, not connected to location) is easy to spot.
Ox, I just wanted to say I’ve been watching your videos for almost two years now even before I started playing fallout and just wanted to say that your videos are great and always make these fictional games seem like real life. Keep up the good work!
I was never convinced that the shooting of the reporter was an accident, the way I interpreted it was that the seco were just looking for an excuse and shouting that he had a gun was just a cover in case they were being recorded. Maybe it's just my pessimistic brain though aha...
Did you not notice the giant red star, could the hornwrights have been suppourting the chineese?
The giant red stars are all over Appalachia. We find them on barns often. I think it is just a decoration.
They're called barn stars their more for decoration but they were also believed to bring luck or other positive effects depending on the color and also tend to represent a mark from the builder who built the barn/home. Plus their popularity increased during the civil war so its probably a homage from bethesda as well that and their mostly seen in German American homes,Pennsylvania and Virginia though still common throughout the country.

The Mega-Mansions in Fallout 76 must have been inspired from the Jetsons and I love their space age aesthetic.

always wonder why/how in areas that were obviously secure since the war...somehow have mutants/ghouls..schortched etc in them
in this case could have been cleaning staff and other service workers.
Well at least with ghouls you can make the excuse of "They're security personnel who were trapped inside during the bombs."

Hornwright was out of his mind he especially went insane after his wife died. Honestly the best thing to happen to WV was the Great War because WV was super fucked everything was becoming automated, riots and protests. The national guard had to come in and kill a bunch of miners. The rock hound destroyed the region known as the ash heap. Yea the Ash heap looked like that pre war because of the damage and pollution the rock hound did to the environment. West tek turning an entire city into super mutants pre war. And kidnapping people and mutating them into the grafton monster. Just pure insanity.
That could be said of pre war America as a whole
@@tinaherr3856 oh I completely agree I haven’t played the other fallouts besides 4 and 76 but it seems like the nukes was the best thing to happen to West Virginia considering all the crazy stuff that was happening prior to the Great War.

Hmm, during my playthrough of the estate I ran into a wendigo, pretty convinced that was hornwright but I guess it was a random spawn.
I found one the first time I went there too. Most people do, very strange Ox didn't get an encounter.

I think this state works a sales office, due to the amount of paintings on the walls and large conference rooms. I have no doubt that the Hornwright lived here, but what bugs me the most is how did they supply this mansion with water. I mean, we are talking about large pumps, just to provide service for a somewhat small mansion, that has the only peculiarity of being mounted on a column. To me, it seems like an unjustifiable waste and makes me wonder of the opulence of these companies, justifying the actions of the fired miners, by the lack of consideration of their employers.
You know in retrospect it's kind of disturbing that you find a sniper rifle on display in the hornwright estate that's not too far from the garrahan Estate and all
The thing I quickly discovered about ALL Hornwright buildings? No matter how simple they seem from the outside, I get lost af when I get inside! I overlooked stuff in H.I. like 3 times and the same 3 times went into the same rooms I had been in. What is up with their architect?
Another great video Ox, I always enjoy FO76 vids because I don't often play it. The lack of live npcs to play with absolutely kills the game for me, so I learn through you. Keep your head up regarding your haters, your true fans have your back.
Ox, watching your videos about the locations in 76 makes going to the location in my 76 more exciting. That's because of all of the things I learn in your videos. Your videos aren't just game play, it's educational. I feel more aware of what really happened at these locations and get to see things that I didn't see the first time if I have already been to a location. So I want to say thank you Ox, you really make my 76 more interesting.

Bethesda's fascination with the iconic LEG Lamp shows up in both Fallout 4 (multiple places) and now we see it in Fallout 76.
That statue is clearly an award of some sort.
Have u done the penitentiary by Morgantown airport just north of it...its the prison with the super mutants and scorch/ghouls...i think the lore is pretty cool and kinda messed up when you think about

since the robots don't attack the ghouls it mean whoever they are they're allowed to be there so either family or staff.
at first when saw the critics i kind of fell for it, but after a few hours i knew that it was a smear campaingn, these people who think a person can't change love to put on your face how stupid you were and i hate it, but now i'm full on supporting you

I still can't wait for a look at the miners and how the forced automation in Appalachia mirrors what's happened in industrial/manufacturing and increasing service jobs in our own world - particularly how different cultures and nations react.
That said, did anyone else get the idea with the Motherlode, particularly given Daniel's obsession with it and the voice programming that he was projecting his grief onto the machine (as he was clearly a fan of machine over mankind) to in some way pretend his wife hadn't died? You know a bit like Dr Collins in Fallout 4 based part of Curies personality on his friend Liza who he missed?
I got that vibe. The Motherlode voice was very...happy when it was powered back up. Almost like it's a sentient AI.
@@oxhorn absolutely, even during the breach and clear events it was always more "alive". Like Curie in Fallout 4, or Kryten in Red Dwarf (ok last one was a joke).
I'm really glad you're going into the lore in Fallout 76, as it's something I've often missed in my game, it's why you inspired me to take the new "Sheepsquatch" events and related side missions slower to piece together what happened.
That in mind I salute your on going work and ability to tell/find out stories

I have a question. If Hornwright was using robots for his security, and the doors at the bottom were sealed with a locked door, how is the mansion infested with so many ghouls? Where did they come from?

I haven't seen any creators similar to you, as far as investigative technique, voice, you stand alone, I loved fallout 4 when I played years ago, but I kinda ran thru it, when I saw your investigations into these strange things I would see, but not pursue, made it like a new game, cool niche...I need a cigar and a red bath robe..tata

Did you actually appear in the elevator? I always appear in this charging dock room, also, this place has some bad graphic glitches when looking through the open floor spaces from some angles. a good place to hit for lead scrap btw, and there are cargobots with escort sometimes flying around here getting distracted by the robots
