- John and I start our annual adventure as we ride from the north west of England to.the Picos De Europa National Park. We see the Picos for the first time and are blown away.
We also start what becomes an ongoing debate over which is the best - Ducati or KTM lol
Please enjoy this first episode of our tour covering over 2,500 miles across 14 days of excitement, drama and life long memories. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Absolutely stunning
I'm enjoying watching these videos
Another one getting ready for the end of the week.
Thank you
I like the mountains you were riding through
Arrived here after watching your Daves Day video. (which was good) Looks like you two are going to have fun in the next few videos, so I have subbed 👍
Thanks Spotty we had a blast yes. I hope you enjoy them. Do you plan to ride there yourself?
@@stevesherlockrides Hi Steve, yeah, I went there in 2019 for a week, didn't do any off road trails because my mate has an RT! Was planning on going back in 2020, but that didn't happen... Doing German mountains and world war 1 battlefields this year and probably back to Spain in 2025. I want to go to Burgos where the final scene from the good the bad and the ugly was filmed , Sad Hill cemetry. Ride safe.
I fancy doing the war memorial sites for sure also
Great first episode. Picos is on my future tour list. Looking forward to your future episodes.
They will be a bit more exciting I hope. Espinama to Sotres Trail next was one of the most difficult days
Great video buddy .im really looking forward to the series 🎉🎉👍
Cheers Dale
The red light on approach to villages....that's exactly what it's for, to slow you down. Approach at correct speed and they don't change. Over the limit, and they stop you
Yep we realised after a couple of days and really good concept
Literally watching this on the ferry back from Santander to Portsmouth. Unbelievable riding around the Picos on my Multistrada Rally. 4th time we’ve done the trip and already can’t wait to get back
Did the weather improve a little as we left on 20th May and was wet
@@stevesherlockrides - Nope 🤦♂️ I don’t think it was as bad as you guys had it. We had one completely dry day and then showers on the other days
We were lucky as went in portugal and southern Spain when the bad stuff kicked in. We only had 1 bad day the Sunday before we came home
Hoping to do this next year from the NW as well. Looking fwd to EP2 :)
Thanks pal. Where in the NW?
@@stevesherlockrides Manchester. Just back from Scotland with Ducati Mancs lot.
Hiw was it?
@@stevesherlockrides Too short! 🤣. Great time. Great bunch 👍🏼
Gutted less than a minute in when you mentioned Plymouth. I don't do ferries due to sea-sickness.....Was hoping to finally find someone who rides there.
The crossing was like glass and so comfortable
@@stevesherlockrides lol...I get seasick on a canal boat.
It seems to be the fashion. The ride down through France can be a great part of the trip.
I've never done the West coast route through France, might try it
What accommodation did you stay in while in Potes
Apartments de Potes just off the N621. V good
We’ve booked them apartments for October
You will be happy, we had apot 15 fir 1st two nights and appt 16 for the last 2 nights. Swimming pool was cold but great to cool down after a day riding
Nice one thanks pal. What’s the prices for food and beer like in Potes
Really cheap
Is it Ducati reliability that compelled you to take a boat, I can never understand why peeps take a “riding holiday” but choose to do over half the distance at sea……Enjoy the ride nonetheless 👍🏻
I've done that ride many times before so time was the limiting factor. Was either 20 hrs on a boat or 2 to 3 days by bike. Did 8 countries in 12 days last year so not afraid to ride
