I got so lucky starting out. My neighbor used to be a BMW race car driver, racing M4’s at IMSA. He had a nice sim rig but he also had a secondary one with the Thrustmaster TX. When he moved he gave me the Tx, Ferrari wheel, the thrustmaster load cell pedals, th8a shifter, and a cockpit. I never knew how lucky I was until I got into sim racing.
I hope you thanked him he seems like a great guy to give you all that gear. Stuff aint cheap. 💯

@@noname-zi9xm yeah he just gave me all that stuff for free. It was a NLR cockpit as well, no the generic brands.

I think the second hand market is the way to go. I snagged a t300 In great condition for just 200 bucks.

@@kaPaURL 2 pedals. Meaning I’ll need to get new pedals if I get a shifter. But, for getting started it’s great. Pedals are generally recommended to be upgraded anyways. Plus it was only 20 minutes away.
@@TartAppleJuice Thanks for sharing. It's still a pretty nice deal. I'm also searching for a used wheel but in my area t300 are hard to find. I recently saw someone selling a t248 for a similar price and I'll probably try to get that instead (-belt drive +pedals).

I'm still very happy with my G920 that I got for $115 basically brand new, I built a whole cockpit setup for less than the wheel new
Snagged a g920 for 150 for practically brand new as well. I think for the price it’s a good starting wheel for many
The cheapest G920 I can find near me is 300 CAD (220USD)
i got REALLY lucky, found a g25 (which has a bit more torque) for 120 + 5 euro shipping
So sad, we don't have these options in Brazil, a G920/G27 costs around R$1600+ Reais, and the minimal wage here is R$1480 Reais, it's just impossible to become a simracer enthusiast without a bankruptcy

@@littlejack59 1480 a month, and ours domestic options costs 500-600 Reais, has no force feedback, 180° Wheel, plastic pedals and no software, just a emulation of a wheel in a XBOX driver

A month ago I Bought a t300 Ferrari edition for £150, pedals never used and wheel only used a few times, literally perfect condition and all original packaging included, still can’t believe it.

Facts, got a tx base, 599xx wheel add on, tclm pedals, th8a shifter, sim panel (ets), and stand for $300 (kicker was It was all 3 months old bought new)

Got a banger deal on a t300rs gt used with the thrustmaster shifter for about 350 (similar listings in my area where 500+) 1000% recommend
I'm rocking a t150 and will upgrade soon, but I can't recommend it enough for someone who's looking to get started. The belt eats the feeling of the gears in the cheap logitech stuff alive
Best budget wheel is the new Cammus C5, with pedals and desk clamp for $329. I've was able to try one out. First time trying with a direct drive. Thought it was the best wheel I've used so far. So when I finally decided to buy one, of course I find a very good conditioned Logitech G920, with a brake mod to feel more like a load cell, for $150 in my local Craigslist and just went with that. It's great for the price. I'll get a direct drive someday. I'm just a casual sim racer, so this will do for a few years.
I have a trade setup tomorrow for a Logitech g29 with shifter for my spare mouse which is a razer viper ultimate and a jailbroken legends of Zelda 2ds which neither I’ve touched in a very long time so pretty much free to me. Im very excited

I can confirm the t300 is great. I've had mine since 2015 and put over 3k hours on it. No problems yet. Knock on wood
My g27 still rocks for j think almost 10years. With mods rev lights, f1 wheel with extra buttons and 3.5 LCD that I diy'd with scraps laying around the house. I didn't get a new wheel but bought myself a vr.
If you love simracing and have enough money laying around go get a DD wheel, you'll love it
@@Turbo_96 I don't live in US. DD's are so expensive here, it's unrealistic. As much as I want to get a DD, I'd rather make my own instead that will save me 70% with brushless motors 8-12nm. Also there's many DD open source codes for Arduino but yes a lot of effort for this.

I got a deal for a Logitech G29 last year summer for $200. Recently I used a lot and even created my own Formula style wheel using 3d printing. So far so good!
Many years ago I have borrowed G25. I liked it. That year was G29 released, so I bought it. I'm still using it.
I don’t know why he didn’t mention but look for Fanatec CSL wheels you can get them used with pedals for 400 sometimes cheaper

I got a Logitech g920 with the shifter and a play seat rig for only £225
just bought the g920 snd its great, only had it a few days but its been the best few days ive had in a long time. if anyone is on the fence about getting a sim racing setup, just do it, its so worth it

My current rig is a moza R5 bundle i got for $424 i added clutch and brake kit an moza cs wheel hgp shifter and hbp hand brake i do far live it allot everything is high quality and the software is amazing
also just got a T300 RS GT for 190 really hyped to see how it feels
Marketplace can be goated. I wish I was still in the market for a setup. A guy was selling the full rig with the wheel and pedals and shifter and handbrake plus it was a really nice setup with a real deep dish wheel out of his real drift car. The setup was not only just 1200 dollars CANADIAN. but it comes with his gaming pc and monitor for the pc and the rig and keyboard and mouse and all that. Plus it’s already set ready with iracing there ready to play. If that’s not a deal idk wtf is

Logitech G27 (very close to G29), force feedback two pedals and shifter stick .old but works well on ACC

Brand new DFGT's can be had for a song. Thrustmaster pedals and a SHH shifter, you're set.

I had bought a 500$ Alienware monitor it was a couple years old for $110 then I traded it for a g920 which was i amazing condition just dusty. Then bought a Logitech shifter for 35$ open box later down the line
My first setup was a thrustmaster wich I got at Game stop for under 200 amd it has two peddles amd paddles
I got a g27 in good condition for 150 and it works great
Go for t300 if you can find for cheap, then some better pedals for it 😎

I got a thrustmaster tx (the Xbox version of the t300) with t3pa pedals, the Ferrari 458 Italia rim, the Ferrari 599xx evo rim and a wheel stand pro for £210 of gumtree, still staying strong however I am looking to upgrade to the fanatec cal dd, csl pedals and mclaren gt3 rim
Second hand market is the best. Got a Logitec G29 for half its price and a G25 that the guy just gave to me. Both work perfectly and are in excellent condition. Now my best friend and I can play together

Im glad I kept my T300RS Although I upgraded to. Simagic Alpha Mini Direct Drive it still is not compatible with most simcade/Arcade games. So I threw back on the T300 just to play Motorfest. Just inconvient when I want to switch back to full simulator when getting on Assetto Corsa and Beamng

I got my fanatec V3 clubsport pedals for 250$, and for another 50$ they threw in the clubsport 7 speed sequential Fanatec shifter 250$ value so yeah definitely look for 2nd hand, as long as it's not been abused, I also bought my GT wheel 2nd hand but... my d button has already broke and my magnetic shifter are loose so be careful 😅

Honestly starting simracing with logitech aint a great deal, id rather save a bit more for a thrustmaster cuz logitech does pretty bad wheels apart from their direct drive one

@@FrenchSe7en hmm idk, the thrustmaster t150 (the one he mentioned when talking about pedals) comes with (unless you pay extra) plastic pedals consisting of an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal while the G29/G920/the newer one come with the clutch too and they're made of metal

Im driving logitec wheels for 10 years now and just bought a new g923 never had complaints and never will they are sturdy as hell i replace mine after 5 or 6 years but i always resel my old ones for like 100 bucks because they are in perfect working order blow the dust of some sensors and youll be playing for the comming year even one dude i sold a wheel to 5 years ago still has it and its still working
Logitec might be ratteling plastic but fuck me thats some damn dureble plastic i mean ive seen DD wheels that go for twice the price deliver worse quality products

I was actually going to go down the route of second hands wheels. But then when I graduated high school my grandfather gave me $500 for whatever. So I got a TX leather edition. Btw I have a Thrust master TMX that I'm not using and T3pa pedals if anyone here wants them let me know😎
