Not a noob question at all! it's a good one. Since the resolution is the same, your in-game horizontal view will generally remain identical. You won’t see “more” of the left and right on a larger screen just because it’s physically bigger. The 45” monitor just makes everything larger and potentially more immersive, but it won’t expand your field of view unless you change FOV settings in-game.

It's been a great monitor looks excellent, IMO, but I don’t have a lot of experience with others to compare with the Zotac 4090. Performance is great. I think for the price, they are an excellent option, but I may upgrade them at some point. The display port 1.2 is not an issue since 1.4 is backwards compatible. They are a bit older, so maybe, at this point, there might be a better option out there for you. I haven’t felt the urge to upgrade them yet if I do it will be for 4K at somepoint.
I believe that Consoles (such as the XBox and PS5, like I have) can't use Multiple Screens and can only use a Single Screen (some places say they can't even use a single Ultra Widescreen i.e. 49" etc)...... is this true?
I’m just using MSI 32” curved 2K monitors 165hz, I’m not too familiar with the HDMI 2.1 monitors but two that come to mind maybe to check out would be the Gigabyte AORUS FV43U or a Samsung Odyssey G7 or G9.
A 34” ultrawide has same physical and pixel height as a 27” display. Hence why it’s recommend to go with 3 x 32” instead. The 32” expands the 1440p resolution vertically so your monitors can afford to be a little further away from you.
@@JimboJet737 Well I’m planning to get an OLED monitor for it’s HDR capability but the on 32” OLED monitor right now is a 4K monitor, I might just go with a normal IPS panel for the 32”, another option I’m considering is just having a single monitor but playing in VR

Do you think is possible running this set up 4k? Another question is a good choice for use as a triple with fast triple on sim rig Trak racer? If yes what is the best FOV to use it thx
I'm pretty new to all this but I really have to ask, why would you ever consider monitors instead of VR if you are going to spending this kind of money? Technically monitors can give you a better FoV yes, but the lack of depth perception is such a major difference that nobody seems to mention. My experience has been that VR is starkly superior both for immersion and for actual results. I personally find the timing of my turns much, much easier to judge in VR because it's actually 3D. I find it so much better I honestly would never again even consider a racing game that didn't support it.
I agree that VR gives the best immersion. However, not all people can race with VR such as motion sickness, and face gets quite warm too after a while, or cheek muscle ache caused by the face insert, extra cable around the head or battery issue if it's wireless VR headset etc. I love racing with my quest 2 but sometimes it's just easier to use the monitor for quick race or hang out with friends. Also (for me) it's easier to do Livestream if racing with monitor instead of VR, and allow me to be aware of what's happening irl in the house (i.e. wife and kids etc) :)
I prefer monitors over VR as well. I raced a decent amount with a quest 2 and it just feels inconvenient and can be finicky sometimes. Right now I'm building a new full Sim Racing setup and I'm having trouble deciding between 1 curved or 3 flat. Trying to find the best bang for my buck.
@@nothingproheretv maybe if you got more advanced motion sickness, thats ok but nevertheless if you have motion sickness triple monitor should also make you nauseuos because of higher peripheral view, everybody got motion sickness in VR in first couple of times, its normal, you just need to adjust your body. I hate when people say "hurr durr VR makes me vomit" - like yeah there isnt one person even without motion sickness who didnt felt MS at least once in VR. In more advanced games like Bonelab/Boneworks or any game where you can move freely, 100% first couple secs/mins will be nauseating then you will accustome.
I rather get a 32:9 display with eyetracking (what im using) then 3 displays, way less hassle ...specialy because im playing a lot of rally games and not all (if any idk) support a tripple screen setup. Also almost all (all new) freesync displays work just fine with nvidia gpus, gsync only works with nvidia, so just better off getting a freesync monitor.
That's a great question! OLED Gaming monitors are still relatively new, but there are more options available now. I believe burn-in is not as much of a concern as it used to be with earlier TVs. Manufacturers have implemented measures to prevent it more effectively.
Burn in is a non issue on a simracing setup since you do not play 24/7 (like in the tests where they let static content be displayed for a week straight or so)
Does anyone know if its possible to have an ultra wide monitor as your center ( windshield ) display and smaller monitors as your left and right displays? The dimensions of most triple monitor setups throw me off, and I haven't seen one set up like that, I always wondered if maybe it wasn't possible due to differences in resolutions?
With the recent support of GT7 for 120hz, it would be wise to search for a display that not only supports this feature but also has 4K resolution. This will ensure an optimal PS5 gaming experience.
@@G.Velazquez Choosing between the Neo G7 and the LG C2 42-inch largely depends on what you prioritize in a display for your sim racing setup. The Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 is a gaming monitor with a curved screen, fast response times, and a high refresh rate (240Hz), making it ideal for fast-paced gaming like sim racing. Its Quantum Mini LED technology can offer excellent contrast and colors. However, its size may be smaller than what you're looking for in a sim racing setup. On the other hand, the LG C2 42-inch is an OLED TV, meaning it will likely have superior color accuracy, contrast, and viewing angles compared to the G7. Its response time and input lag are also excellent. However, its refresh rate might be lower than the G7. If your focus is primarily sim racing and other fast-paced games and you appreciate the immersion a curved screen can provide, the Neo G7 might be a better choice. If you're looking for a larger screen that can double for general media consumption, offering superb image quality, the LG C2 42-inch could be a great option. Remember to consider the space you have available, and how far you'll be sitting from the screen as both of these factors can influence your overall experience.
That's a tough choice; I'm a fan of using triples instead of single or ultra-wide. I would avoid just one ark even though it's big, and you don't gain any extra FOV. I would go ultra-wide if you plan on just doing a single monitor. Just my two cents.
Grrat video, question for you and others please. I currently use a 32" curved 4k / 120Mhz 1ms VA monitor & it's good. However, I also have a 43" 4K 120Mhz 1ms QLED flat TV / momitor which is being used for streaming & work - all things being equal which would you choose? Both on a desk not on a mount so can be moved back & forth, eventually will go for triples and /or VR but just need some advice BEFORE I start moving things around!
@@AlexTurbo- I switched for a couple of weeks but overall preferred the 32" monitor for the curve, less height and more responsive although the TV had slightly better graphics. But since then I've gone all out, switched to a proper sim rig and super ultra-wide!
Man I'm on a 24in monitor rn I turn all the lights off in my room complete pitch darkness for immersion lol. 34 in 1440p sounds nice pretty sure a 5600g and 6700xt is going to hard struggle on triples
Yes, an older 2080 Ti should be capable of running three 32-inch monitors for sim racing, but factors like monitor resolution and game optimization may affect performance. You may not be able to run higher resolutions like 1440p without making some sacrifices to graphics.
Awesome video! Quick question: I have a ps5 so am unable to use ultrawide or triple screen. What size would you suggest for a single screen setup and would you use a curved or flat monitor? I have a monitor stand so can place it as far or close as i would like.
It really depends on how close you can sit to it. When I first got into sim racing, I had this 48" LG C1 OLED TV right in front of me on my Trak Racer TR8 setup. It was awesome because it had all the good stuff like HDMI 2.1, VRR, HDR, and 120Hz, perfect for my PS5 and Xbox Series X. I never felt the need for anything bigger, but I can't deny that a larger screen adds to the immersion. Honestly, I don't think a curved screen matters much, especially if you're using just one monitor.
I'm using a 42in lg c2 and it's amazing for gt7, acc, etc on ps5. Once I get a pc IL be getting 2 more to do triple 42in oled setup. Kinda wish I would have went with the 48 but either is great and i got the 42 on sale for 700. I have it mounted to a full motion wall mount so I can't get my rig (simlab p1x) as close as I'd like but I have it set right behind my dd1 and with the lack of fov adjustment in gt7, it lines up perfectly with the wheel in most cars. I would say its roughly 6cm or 2ft from my eyes. It feels extremely immersive. Would definetly recomend the 42in c1/2/3.
@@calebwright2849 thanks for the feedback! I'm still not sure what to buy. Most people confirm what you say, that 40+ inch is not too big. But it's a huge difference in price though so it'll depend on my budget i think.

I only have 1 argument: Curved monitors are FALSE immersions. Why? Because I saw no game that asks about it. And basically it renders a flat scene, that the monitor projects on a curve. The higher the curvature, the more discepancies. I also saw no driver (NV, AMD) that makets detection of curved monitor to change that render plane and override the game setup. Again: GPUs render a flat image. I played for 5 years on 3 monitors, and played them flat (side-by-side), because only 2 sims (iRacing, and I don't recall the other) had the monitor angles as parameters. All others did not even know that 3 monitors are active and I had to use NV surround to simulate a very wide monitor. 99% of people who "buy" the curved marketing have no idea how the rendering is done. Unfortunately that extends to product availability. When I bought my current 34" 21:9 monitor, I basically spent 1 week to find I can only choose between 2 models. Over 10 I eliminated just because of being curved. Oh, and I wanted 1080p, but due to that availability, I only could buy 1440p. (1080p means GPU can make 50% more frames in the same time) Curving a monitor has only 1 advantage: viewing angles of the sides of the image. They can basically put a cheaper (with worse viewing angles) curved panel than a better flat one for the same width. Also, for sim-racing, I see no reason for 4K and 1440p. If you push 4K, your FPS will be lower. So just go 1080p with max frames you can. You can even reduce the GPU budget, not to mention 1080p monitors are cheaper. I don't spend time in racing games for sight-seeing. I spend it to find MY limits.

@@simracingden Thanks a lot. Can I ask one more thing. Looking for a 49" for my sim racing rig. I will never get more than 144fps on my system so then I dont need a 240hz monitor. correct? 144hz is plenty? Will I notice any difference if fps is below 144? The 240hz ones are so expensive here.
@@Bjornvarthr you don’t need 240hz at all 144hz is more then enough I run my 240hz monitors at 120 fps anyway and don’t notice a big difference between 120 and 144.
Would u recommend ur monitor, the g32cq4? I saw on a website that it only has Display port 1.2, is that a problem? Furthermore some wrote it would not have real hdr but something that just enhances contrasts. I would like to know about ur experiences with the monitor, because I’m about to switch to pc (getting the zotac trinity oc 4090 as well) and I’m not sure which monitors to get
It's been a great monitor looks excellent, IMO, but I don’t have a lot of experience with others to compare with the Zotac 4090.
That is true widescreen is not natively supported but apparently there is a way to make it work.
What is your opinion about the 23-inch triple-screen setup? Can I see my right window and mirror with that setup?
I think that will be too small 27” would be the best starting point with 32” being ideal IMO.
Hi. What is the perfect size for curve monitor?
I like 32". I think it's the sweet spot, but you can always go bigger if you have the budget and the space.
Thanks
What monitors do you use? I’m currently looking for ps5 hdmi 2.1 full bandwidth 48Gbps hdr VRR ALLM 4k 120hz any advice
I’m just using MSI 32” curved 2K monitors 165hz, I’m not too familiar with the HDMI 2.1 monitors but two that come to mind maybe to check out would be the Gigabyte AORUS FV43U or a Samsung Odyssey G7 or G9.
Wat screen size would your recommend for a triple screen set up? 27 or 32, or is it possible to use 3 34 inch ultrawide for the triple screen set up?
I think 32” is the sweet spot IMO. with 34” ultra wide you lose too much vertical real estate.
@@simracingden Understood, I'll plan my rig around 32" monitor then, thank you for your advice
How about 1 curve mirror in the middle and 2 flat on both sides
My understanding is this should work but never tried it myself.
Hi nice explanation thx a lot for that! I have a question maybe you can my help.
My video is a RTX 4070 and i5 32ram is possible running triple screen LG 27 inch , 27GR95QE.
Do you think is possible running this set up 4k?
Another question is a good choice for use as a triple with fast triple on sim rig Trak racer? If yes what is the best FOV to use it thx
I think that should be possible you may need to turn down some graphics settings but should be ok.
Thanks for the help. Do u think odyssey g7 32 inch on ps4 pro is any good for sim racing ? ❤
Sure would be fine but since ps4 pro only goes up to 60hz or 120hz might be overkill maybe look at a TV instead.

Wow, thanks!
In more advanced games like Bonelab/Boneworks or any game where you can move freely, 100% first couple secs/mins will be nauseating then you will accustome.
what are those strips of plastic between your monitor seams???

I rather get a 32:9 display with eyetracking (what im using) then 3 displays, way less hassle ...specialy because im playing a lot of rally games and not all (if any idk) support a tripple screen setup. Also almost all (all new) freesync displays work just fine with nvidia gpus, gsync only works with nvidia, so just better off getting a freesync monitor.
hey bro what eyetracking hardware you are using or you think its worth buying ? money doesnt matter

@@Coops383 I just got the Samsung Neo G9 and Tobee 5 :)
A bit surprised you didn’t touch on OLED panels-would you recommend starting away due to burn in concerns?
That's a great question! OLED Gaming monitors are still relatively new, but there are more options available now. I believe burn-in is not as much of a concern as it used to be with earlier TVs. Manufacturers have implemented measures to prevent it more effectively.
Burn in is a non issue on a simracing setup since you do not play 24/7 (like in the tests where they let static content be displayed for a week straight or so)
I've been gaming on an LG C1 55'' OLED for about a couple years. No issues yet. For sim racing, flying I use VR.
Its possible with Nvidia surround or similar applications.
My car(Lexus is250) windscreen car is about 75 inches. I wonder if I will be able to find a curved 75 inches monitor 🤔
Maybe look at the Samsung 57" ultrawide its pretty big.
@@simracingden I looked thanks. But the reviews about it aren't great
What do you recommend is the best monitor for a ps5 specs ?
With the recent support of GT7 for 120hz, it would be wise to search for a display that not only supports this feature but also has 4K resolution. This will ensure an optimal PS5 gaming experience.
@@simracingden thank you, also I heard you can’t go higher than a 32 inch monitor for a ps5 16:9 is it true ?
@@G.Velazquez You can go as big as you want, but thats correct PS5 only natively supports the 16:9 aspect ratio at the moment.
Last question, i narrowed it down to These 2. Neo g7 or the lg c2 42 inch which would you recommend?
Remember to consider the space you have available, and how far you'll be sitting from the screen as both of these factors can influence your overall experience.
what is your monitor size and brand.. thanks!
In this video, I was still using MSI 32” curved monitors, but I’ve since switched to 32” Samsung G7 Odyssey monitors.
@@simracingden 32 G7s.. that's very helpful thanks!

Tiple 32" Neo G7 4k or single Ark or single Neo G9?
Personally if I was just using one monitor I’d go for the bigger option.
Cheers@@simracingdenfor responding, I'm now going to switch them round and see how it looks :-)
@@Wilayaat how did it go?
@@AlexTurbo- I switched for a couple of weeks but overall preferred the 32" monitor for the curve, less height and more responsive although the TV had slightly better graphics.
But since then I've gone all out, switched to a proper sim rig and super ultra-wide!
Man I'm on a 24in monitor rn I turn all the lights off in my room complete pitch darkness for immersion lol. 34 in 1440p sounds nice pretty sure a 5600g and 6700xt is going to hard struggle on triples
This is really informative bud!
Glad it was helpful!
Would 3 rog swift oled pg32udcm’s work?
Yes for sure.
But what if you're on console which does not support ultrawide?
Correct, then I would look for a monitor or TV that supports up to 120 Hz, which is the max that the latest consoles can reach right now.
would an older 2080ti be capable of using three 32 inch triples?
Yes, an older 2080 Ti should be capable of running three 32-inch monitors for sim racing, but factors like monitor resolution and game optimization may affect performance. You may not be able to run higher resolutions like 1440p without making some sacrifices to graphics.
@@simracingden thank you. If i wanted higher resolution what would u recommend i upgrade to? In other words, what should be the next one i buy?

A dedicated monitorr for sim racing is just not economical to me. I will just stick with the big family room TV.
The guy with the mask on is funny
(1080p means GPU can make 50% more frames in the same time)
Curving a monitor has only 1 advantage: viewing angles of the sides of the image.
Hi, i would like to know whats your PC setup? I m figuring to start my sim racing journey and do research about pc setup. Which monitor do you recommend if i use i5 12400f and 4060ti as setup? I personally like to have a curved monitor
@@球球爱吃桃子 I use a 7900-set (7900X3d with 7900XT). Monitor is Acer Nitro XV340CKP (flat 1440p 144Hz) bought in 2022. I don't know what is available today. I was just ranting about cuved monitors, as I tried 3 24" monitors and ended using them flat becasue of SW (games that did not have multi-monitor angle settings). And I extrapolate that with today's curved monitors, as the rendered image is intended for flat display (i.e. periferic imaging will be distorted).
displayport 2.1 is still a bit irrelevant its more of a marketing gimmick at this point, also forgot panel types such as OLED or QD-Oled etc

Check 3:50 left screen (this is problem with Samsung g6 g7 and I really don’t recommend this shitty monitors. I would never buy shitsung any more
These are MSI monitors in that video.
I’ll make it easy for viewers it’s this simple
Tripple screens 1080p, ips, 1ms 120+hz au optronics panel.
Avoid va / tn panels for sim racing as wash from viewing angles is terrible and ghosting on va (yes even odessy) is poor, or go 1440p if you have a 4090, the reason I say 4090 is I dont get why people buy all the high end hardware only to turn graphics settings Down??your are far better off at 1080p , 27” high refresh rate 120hz + than 1440/4k at reduced graphics settings and frames
Ps ultra wide… just don’t!!! you will regret it and curved monitors are not ideal as they distort the image.
V.R whilst immersive the tech is still not good even in 2024
HDR = don’t bother
Gysnc / Or amd version don’t worry about use Riva tuner instead.
