Luffy’s Sky Splitting Power Calculated (One Piece Analysis and Feat Calculation)

  • In One Piece episode 1051 Luffy and Kaido attack each other their impact, mixed with Haki, shot up and split the sky, blasting away the clouds from the area. This clash is possibly one of the most anticipated things that we have been waiting for... other than... you know... the thing that happens after this feat... Anyways, we have been waiting since 2007 for Luffy to do a feat like this, since Whitebeard and Shanks debuted it, so over 16 years later he finely did and I am all here for it. I have been waiting for this, wanting to calculate it and oh boy was my patience rewarded. So lets get into this and calculate the power of Luffy and Kaido's Conquers Haki clash.

    This is odas way of showing us that luffy is yonko level
    We have only seen this sky splitting moments by yonks in the past
    For example whitebeard and Roger or shanks and whitebeard

    I was wondering if you can recalculate this but not the clash, but the transformation... When Luffy transformed into gear 5th, he split the sky just by transforming... and it also looked like the clouds moved faster aswell!

      Not at all.
      To destroy the Earth you would need around a million times more energy than what is talked about right here.

      Haki is just ap so the point jn their clash is much much more powerful

      what i mean is that a attack of aftereffect i.e a shockwave , loses its power the farther of point of impact or point of origin, meaning the power behind it should be MUCH higher sense only a small faction of the attacks power hit the clouds.

      It's likely air pressure, so yea, the full contact for Luffy's punch would be thousands of times higher in KE than what the calc is suggesting. I don't fully agree with this calc, but I digress.

    Great analysis. But I recommend next time that you compare it to actual things like for example, it is equivalent to 20 mountains etc for the mass audience.

    I'm really slow when it comes to these anime calculations. I was hoping you'd show the step-by-step process of your calculations.

    3:32 Did you use this formula to calculate the volume: [V=πr2h]? I got 8.38 x 10^6 km^3. Did you use a smaller number like 8.1 x 10^6 on purpose?
    3:45 How did you calculate the mass? Did you use the volume? I'm only aware of [Mass = Density x Volume]. Where did you find the density of the clouds? Or are we assuming the density of these clouds to be the same as an average real-world cloud?
    3:53 I wished you showed how you calculated the acceleration too 😥
