Gear 5th Luffy is NOT "Planet Level"... Right? [One Piece Powerscaling Analysis and Discussion ]

- Sever since gear 5th Luffy became a thing there have ben so many different people trying to justify him being planet level, star level, or even universe level. However, I have a lot to say about that, namely...no. I don't by that at all int he slightest. I don't by this because of the most part because the mass reason used is that he is this strong because he has toon force and that is absolute garbage. Toon force is not a power of raw effect, but silly (Literally) Precision. To inflate someone's power to levels this far beyond what he has ever been shown to be required far more than one thing that can easily be taken out of context. It needs layers upon layers of proof.
Honestly… who knows. We don’t know shit about gear 5th. He’s only gone into it 3 times and luffy is still under the impression that he has the gomu gomu no mi. For all we know gear 5th true ability could be something unfathomable
There's never a reason for planet level attacks
as of now though we know for sure he isn’t, he hasn’t shown anything saying he is planet level

Haven’t gotten to watching the vid yet, just wanted to say based on my calcs and upscaling from Dressrosa to Rooftop Luffy, Luffy’s Kong Over Gun could have small planetary DC.

I mean Luffy vs Kaido's clash was literally stated to be felt for 1,000 miles and the moon itself is 1,079.6 miles. And this was done by two characters that were not at 100%
@eonragnarock2366 they were at 100% for strength. Kaido pulled out more strength via dropping the island. Luffy did his strongest sttack yet. And their haki clash alone stretched for MILES. Also during the part when luffy came back and could literally go toe to toe with kaido their hakis started to raise well kaidos did luffys had been.
So they were getting stronger. Now after the fight they would also get stronger just like a workout.

Bajrang gun has been debunked countless times despite vsbattles error which is a constant with the forum. Oda has a consistency to exaggerate panels which one panel made it look like the bajrang gun was bigger than the island which every other panel shows it was relative to kaido which makes it multi continental not moon level in the slightest.

Luffy can do quite literally anything he wants and is limited only to imagination while in gear 5th. He cna dodge light speed attacks frim kizaru, bend twist and stretch beyond his previous limits, tank CoC infused attacks with no more than birds floating around his head, run in air. Its breaks the laws of the one piece world as we understand them. Is luffy "planet level"? No hes beyond that. If he had the desire to do it luffy could do exactly everything shown in the clips. His bajrang gun alone within the real world physics would be the same as an asteroid collision. The only question is does his haki output decide how powerful his attacks can be. If not its clips for the verse
You REALLY need to give more context about the characters you're talking about to help with both engagement and for newcomer to understand what is going on.

It really depends on how big the one piece world is ,cuz the one piece globe had 6 moons n a tiny moon orbit a moon.so the planet got big as Jupiter or 2x big as our sun or 9x if you wanna super wank it🤣. If the one piece world is big our sun or big being planetary wouldn't matter that much💀. whenever oda has another interview that question they should be asking how big is the one piece world.😂

Homestly, no ability in One Piece is „planet level“. The term itself is kinda ridiculous. A shonen doesn‘t always need planet busting. But if it doesn‘t, it get dogged on by Dragon Ball fans saying Krilin beats Kaido.
Even if the one piece verse gets those planet busing feats (which they probably would at EOS final battle with Blackbeard creating a massive black hole that can suck up every single thing on OP planet, just a prediction I had) post 7 year time skip krillin have feats that can put him at solar system level, don't believe me go watch chunk's video on "garou vs the z fighters" where he actually proves it.

The one who did the explosion seen on the moon was enel the lightning guy. Just letting that be known, I was shocked to.
It was not Enel; the moon explosion happened before the automatons got to the moon, and Enel arrived at the moon after them.
I thought the moon explosion was meant to be the Space Pirates mining equipment.

Moons in one pice are way larger than moons in real life. They’re probably the size of planes or large planes, since the world of one pice is the size of a star. Wouldn’t it make more sense that the moons orbiting it are massive?
I thought the moons were just way closer, not bigger. If they were the same distance, Eneru wouldn't be anywhere near the moon even after the 2 year time skip.

@@extremedeerbruh2455 We know Eneru wasn't traveling at the speed of lightning because he needed the Ark Maxim to get to the moon. We've also never seen eneru travel by turning into lightning like Kizaru does, otherwise Luffy would never be able to get a hit in on him. Also Morgans blimp might just be a flub on Oda's part. We've seen characters falling before and it seems like terminal velocity isn't much different from the world of One Piece from our own. If gravity was low enough for Morgans' blimp to make sense I think people would be bounding around like you see astronauts on the moon do.

Luffy never fought Whitebeard, and while he did fight other Yonko it’s dubious if they scale to WB being able to destroy the world.
In Film Red Luffy needed the help of his crew and the Red Hair Pirates to beat Tot Musica; canonicity aside it’s dubious that he would scale to Tot Musica.
That’s not even getting into the fact that both “destroy the world” statements are incredibly vague.
Do they overcome the planet’s GBE and explode it, or are they simply life wiping/destroying civilization? Is this accomplished with a single attack, or multiple?
@@michaeldorsey9231 I never said luffy can destroy the world because for one I don’t think he can make his fist big enough to just punch the world apart at least not yet. And two haki is not like ki in dragon ball where you can use it to blow planets away. But it’s disingenuous to think that he can’t rival pirates on that caliber. You’re right about two things the rubber man needed shanks help and his crew the beat musica. And the statement about WB fruit being planet level is vague, even so he can concentrate his fruits power in his fist or his weapon. And Roger despite not having a devil fruit was able stalemate him with just his haki back in his prime. WB may have gotten older overtime but his fruit power hasn’t changed; and luffy now far surpasses him with his haki. The Moons in one piece are way larger than our moon in real life, they’re probably the size of planets or large planets. Maybe not necessarily. It could still be just as large as our moon, it could be smaller but closer (ie, how the automatons from Enel’s cover story could float there via balloons). I don’t know enough about astronomy to say for certain that this assumption is incorrect, but in the same vein I can’t just agree with it.

I do think that G4 Rooftop Luffy gets around to having small planetary DC at least, whether or not G5 is a significant enough amp to get him to large planetary is debatable.

and the moon explosion isnt a good feat at all it wasnt done bhy a person either it was done by a crew of space pirates who were using explosives to excavate the moon, and the game guy you brought up isnt canon none of the games are so that level of scaling doesnt exist in canon neither does fil red as it wasnt canon either only the abilites used in it were plus bajarang gun would only have effected onigashima which isnt crazy big only a large island luffy is still not close to moon lvl the person in one piece with the highest destructive capabilities is wb and he atmost would be considerdd mid to high continental but if you take his staement as literal then hed be crsut lvl

@@darkfinitynabil4412 no he wasnt his best feat in dressrosa which was a small to average sized island btw was blowing doflamingo through the ground and splitting the size equal to a few city blocks some people mistakingly think he split the island but no he didn't he split less than a quarter of the island as the bird cage had closed to about a quarter of the island and Luffy split just enough so that civilians weren't caught in it so it was less than a quarter at that point Luffy still isn't even a city buster he's still street level currently with g5 bajarang gun he can be scaled to large island lvl but nowhere past that at all he has nothing to back up any claims that would say he is

Luffy’s already had island level AP since Dressrosa at least (his DC/total energy output would be in the multi continental ranges though).
Depending on how you further upscale him leading up to rooftop, his current AP could be anywhere from large country to continental, with his DC either way being in the small planetary ranges of power.

What “kind” of manga a story is doesn’t matter, all that matters is what feats provably exist in the story and where/how the characters scale to them comparatively.

But he does scale comparably to characters who could do such feats (Whitebeard), and even discounting that Luffy doesn’t need to explicitly shake the earth/environment every time he throws a punch, he simply need to have feats with energy outputs comparable to shaking the earth, or at the very least scale to/above other characters with feats like that.

I wouldn’t say it’s likely myself, but I can’t agree that it’s definitively never going to happen. We still have years of story ahead of us and plenty of opportunities/opponents for Luffy to get stronger against.
