Well, the gt3 and gt3rs now have allocation spots because of their high demand. But for things like the Carrara T, it would help. They don't sell as many of those and his video on the T was good.
Doug, small correction. The team lead for the GT department actually said those hood louvers direct the warm air to the sides. The problem was that that the warm air ran down the sides of the car and then came back over the rear “glass” and then into the intakes. The fins on the top are designed to keep that warm air from ever getting to the to the intakes; not to remove the warm air from the roof of the car.
One very special quirk Doug didn't mention: When you look at the rear reflector of the car, you can notice two air vents. The one on the top is real, the one beneath is fake. I kinda skipped to the driving portion of the video and noticed that the car he’s driving is different from the one he reviewed. I don’t know if he said that would be the case anywhere else in the video so correct me if I’m wrong, but the one he’s driving has a blue interior while the one he reviewed had a green. I find that to be quite interesting.
That white and green color combo is iconic. Those rims are just plain sick. The amount of vents and fins this car contains are not only maddening in how they look in general, they are extremely precise in how they function. Everything about the newest GT3 RS to me, is pure beauty, technological prowess and basic brute strength combined into the same package. It's just, well...BRILLIANT.
This is one thing I feel Porsche does the best of any super car, it's drivable. You can track it, it's reliable. It is meant for this, purpose built. Still one of my all time goal cars.
Doubling the downforce from the most recent previous model is a mind-bending accomplishment. But trying to drive a Tribute version on the street would be nuts - the JDM crowd would be constantly buzzing around you like a hive of wasps keying on that color scheme.

@@joshuabrown3654 I've tried to figure out what that would be. It would have the acceleration of a Tesla S Plaid, the top speed of a Bugatti Chiron, the handling of a McLaren Senna, the fun factor and cool factor of a Chiron, the features of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan crossed with a Tesla, the comfort of a Cullinan, the quality of a Lexus LX600, the practicality (cargo capacity and seating) of a Cadillac Escalade ESV but the external size of a Mini Cooper for ease of parking with the fuel economy of a Tesla, and it will cost $30k to max out value.
Just saw one of these in Mechanicsburg PA this week at PA-114 and US-81 intersection. It was green and had all the aero stuff Doug mentioned. I heard it before I saw it. I didn't notice the American flag in the wing that Doug mentioned, but I'm sure the badging was GT3RS, since I was right next to it at the red light. I knew I was looking at something special, and then I saw this video... PS - Mechanicsburg PA has a Porsche dealer, so I am not surprised to see this car on a public road.
I’d argue that the 992 GT3 cup car is the ultimate car for the track but it’s not street legal. Kind of hard to get one but you can import one after the end of each racing season if you aren’t already connected to the Porsche Racing Team. And if you are racing in NASA or other local series, this RS won’t be competitive with the cup cars, even the 991’s. This RS is a lot of fun for HPDE (drivers education) days though.
Once you start inviting racecars, you can say a lot of things are the ultimate track cars - 911 RSR? Mx5 Cup Car? I'd honestly argue the GT4 RS Clubsport is a better track car than the GT3 Cup, and I've seen it at multiple NASA events. Also - there are several sources that claim this GT3 RS will lap faster than the GT3 Cup, but Porsche will never admit it themselves.
I love all things about Doug. But above them all it’s his ability to never look in the mirror and care about his appearance. Unbridled swag at its best.
What’s intriguing about this car is that it shares acceleration times with the regular 911 GT3, because the sheer amount of downforce it generates creates so much drag that despite its lightness, it lowers the straight-line acceleration speeds.
Doug, a small correction: CFRP ( the P stands for polimeri btw, not plastic) it's nothing new/fancy. It's just the proper name of what you usually call "Carbon Fiber"
Yeah, it was pretty funny that with all his extensive knowledge and experience with these exotic cars, he didn't realize that all of the carbon fiber he's ever seen is carbon fiber reinforced polymer. It's just plastic with carbon fabric embedded in it.
I was told that the fins on the roof help to obtain the stability of the car. Allegedly it doesn't get sideways when you don't want it to do that. Deflecting the heat by those fins is probably a "red hearing."The rear wing is obnoxious on the road, but a huge help on the track. As one can see that's not a perfect car for a daily driver, but it is an engineering marvel and it works on a track.
the main thing that helps the warm air escape towards the side of the car and away from the engine is the vortex generators in the nostrils. The fins on the roof only prevent the warm air from coming back over the roof and into the engine. Andreas Preuninger even mentioned that these vortex generators guide the warm air around the door windows and actually defrosts them in the winter.
In Sofia, Bulgaria few days ago went to 75 year Porsche Anniversary showroom. They showed 75 rare cars. This was on of them, what a beast. The wing system is called DRS like the F1 cars. 🏎️

Gotta say, this new gt3 rs is very wild looking which may put off some people, but I absolutely love it. I am all for the rs cars looking as close to the race cars as possible.
Fantastic review, as always! Absolutely breathtaking car, especially in this spec. One of the best cars money can buy right now!!
Doug the kind of guy to wear a red T-shirt when reviewing a car with green wheels.
Truly Incredible Machine
I imagine that cut on the side behind the wheel will kick up so many stones into the paint, making ppf a MUST for this portion of thr car right?
Doug: “the GT3 RS is just too much race car for the street”
Also Doug: buys Carrera GT
just teasing, i’ve been waiting for this review!! loved it.
Wheels. They’re wheels.
Doug, dope collaboration with Matt. I was thrown all the way off by that. 👌🏾🔥

Finally Doug in a track car at the track 😊
Great video - 3 thoughts:
1. The green stripes and the reflectors make an Irish flag
2. Fun to watch the active aero when on the racetrack
3. This isnt a fashion show but first time Doug looked old (in that helmet) - which makes me even more old:):(
Work of art! Truly amazing. We can't wait to get ours and share it with everyone to enjoy (:
I’m convinced that Doug and Jay Leno are in fact related.
OK, having Matt for that was hilarious 🤣
Who's Matt?
@EpicRaptorMan Matt Farah, he's the guy that doug edited in for a couple seconds at the beginning. Another popular TH-cam and porsche owner
Wow, Doug.2.8 thousand views in 7 minutes. You are absolutely crushing it, these days. I expect to see you with your own show on Netflix or Hulu any day, now.
Doug's Garage
He really Doug out the views today.
I don't think he would do that. He wants to own his content. Doing a show for them means that they own it. Unless he sets up a production company and creates one to sell it. But Netflix doesn't like to license shows anymore.
I was going to suggest Demuro Motors. He could develop a car that was 10's all across the board. The Demuro 100 - with a perfect Doug Score.
The rear wing moving in the background looks great.
It has manual door handles unlike other 911 models. Interesting.
Probably to save weight. Frankly, it is better as well.
The gt3 cup 2022 has it as well. Might be more convinient for racing maybe idk.
Its safer
Doug is the type of guy to drive and own supercars, but still lets his mom cut his hair😂
I love all things about Doug. But above them all it’s his ability to never look in the mirror and care about his appearance. Unbridled swag at its best.
1:35 damn doug Demuro gained some weight
the gt3rs is a masterpiece. one day I will own one
Doug’s big Leno-like head could barely squeeze into that helmet lol
Matt jumping in was almost subliminal. I was like, wait a minute....I gotta go back...something was strange about that...
What’s intriguing about this car is that it shares acceleration times with the regular 911 GT3, because the sheer amount of downforce it generates creates so much drag that despite its lightness, it lowers the straight-line acceleration speeds.
Mesmerizing yet energetic green shade to go with white makes this a lemony lime eye candy.
A gem
Best of its kind
Tell me you’ve bought a race car without telling me you’ve bought a racecar
Doug looks wild sitting in the car sweating and flailing his arms around while describing the many quirks and features lol
Yo know, Doug just a genuine guy you just wanna root for. I just love him.

I think its time for DeMuro to start wearing a bandana
Doug, a small correction: CFRP ( the P stands for polimeri btw, not plastic) it's nothing new/fancy. It's just the proper name of what you usually call "Carbon Fiber"
Yeah, it was pretty funny that with all his extensive knowledge and experience with these exotic cars, he didn't realize that all of the carbon fiber he's ever seen is carbon fiber reinforced polymer. It's just plastic with carbon fabric embedded in it.
Love watching the wing go up and down based on speed and driving !! Awesome
A car so cool they gave it it's own address right in the name...
Doug's passion is UNMATCHED!! Love to see it!!
Yeah, this is a special car. Truly elite and made for real driver enthusiasts.
the main thing that helps the warm air escape towards the side of the car and away from the engine is the vortex generators in the nostrils. The fins on the roof only prevent the warm air from coming back over the roof and into the engine. Andreas Preuninger even mentioned that these vortex generators guide the warm air around the door windows and actually defrosts them in the winter.
i would happily give one of my children for one of these !!!!!
Haven't watched doug in probably a year just thought about him and looked him up and of course i hear the iconic "THISSS" love it
In Sofia, Bulgaria few days ago went to 75 year Porsche Anniversary showroom. They showed 75 rare cars. This was on of them, what a beast.
The wing system is called DRS like the F1 cars. 🏎️
This may be the same one but I saw one and a wrap shop yesterday. You can't miss this car it stands out so nicely
Saw this in red at the Porsche museum in January. The rear 3/4 view is absolutely bonkers! Mental car all around.
Farah/Demuro overlap? Hmmm….. I’m looking forward to the Emira review, I love that car.
This is the first time I've fallen in love with a car. I've never wanted a car more than this piece of engineering art...
the slow creep on the octaves of "THIS" has been going for awhile. I cannot wait to see the compilation videos!
Hey Doug! I’m Staff Sergeant Blackwell with the California Army National Guard. Would you be interested in doing a Doug Score on a military vehicle?
I know he loves Porsche....in his heart FORD.
Not bringing you down bro, we are who we are. One day you will do an XLR-V!!!!
