Thank you! Ive been messing with my 9x for several hours but couldnt get the three pos to work without being affected by the other switches! Im just starting out with the RC hobby (not counting the buy-and-drive 2ch toys i had when i was a kid) and this vid was invaluable in getting the three way to work like i want it for flight modes on the tricopter ive built. Lots of other vids have the twist knobs mixed in somehow but that could be disastrous if one was to accidentally bump one of them in flight and screw up the controls.
No problem. Glad to hear the video helped. I was in the same position when I got the transmitter and eventually figured it out after hours of searching the internet and playing around with it.
Hi, very useful you explanation. I did follow everything nd is working correctly but I would like to know how to do the same to plug it in to channel 5 on the receiver. I couldn't do so. Thanks a lot for your help if possible
I'm using a ia8 receiver in a radian pro glider. I set it to acro to use the flaps. I put the y connector on the flaps and then it's in channel 6 of the receiver. So, you just use the channel 5 without a servo and you use that channel which says gyr to control the flaps?
Here is my issue, I am trying to set this up in betaflight, and I have no idea what I am doing. this is my first quadcopter and I am trying to get this transmitter you just helped me setup switches for to match in the betaflight, but what exactly did we do and how do I get them to match up?
Preston Palmer so if you follow this video you will have set up the three position switch on your radio. However, the flight controller and betaflight will not know you want to use this switch on your model until you program your radio in betaflight. you will need to plug your FC into the computer and connect to betaflight. there you should see a menu with a title similar to "modes". go there and connect your drone with radio (make sure props are off). at this point add a range and as you move the switch the bar on-screen should move once you find the aux channel the switch is on. from there you can set it up to control what you want with the switch.
+terry thacker unfortunately with this transmitter, the smallest things can mess everything up. I will be doing more videos on the Turnigy 9x in the near future, like setting up failsafe on it. I'd really appreciate it if you would subscribe. Good Luck on setting it up

It works wee on channel 6 but i like to change it to channel 5

I don't get the FLP option for slave. I get ELE, TRH, RUD, GEA, PIT, any ideas ? I have the Turnigy 9x Version2. Cheers.
is your controller in acro mode? You should see an airplane in the corner when you power on
