Looks like they have upset someone, either they knew the loom would need replaced and cut it to cost them money or they thought that was the brake hoses and cut them by mistake 🤔
I’m a new viewer subscriber and I work in diagnostics as well just as a household, apartment building commercial electrician and I absolutely see why topdon sent you their non released tester, fantastic work, very clever reasoning around all the faults and the amount of knowledge for a young guy. This is by far one of the most interesting automotive channels on TH-cam, not a teaching channel but weirdly you learn all the time while watching 👍👍👍👍👍
Damage caused by vermin or foxes possibly . Have seen similar on loads of vehicles and even brake flex pipes chewed through with the ends covered in hair/ fluff. Wee feckers.
Foxes are chewing them in my area , my dads porsche had to have an abs cable replaced, apparently the rubber they use on the cable is a bit of a delicacy to a fox
Yeah I think I read it elsewhere in comments but it looks like someone who doesn’t know enough about cars mistook a ABS line for a brake line. The implications are pretty sinister but, two wires cut in a similar fashion both N/S and O/S. Very sus. I suspect someone doesn’t like the driver of that car. Only answer could be wildlife but that looked snipped not chewed. Also why would they remove a section of wire. So odd
Another first class video mate a pleasure to watch. Strange about those Audi ABS cables guess we will never know🤔. Your dead right about that rubberised ABS cable armour absolute sod to pair back really not worth it. Top Don looks good I have a few of their products and I’m very happy with them. Do you mind that XLink is hard wired rather than Bluetooth.
The front left arch wiring is an issue throught out the full range of Audi. Same thing causes headlamp leveling sensor warnings as well on the higher spec models
We had an issue on our 2022 Honda CRV, wires in the engine bay were cut turned out to be the Mice , Honda for some reason have wrapped the cables in soya, an nice snack for them cost a lot to get repaired. all coated in grease now seems to be keeping the little shits at bay
Great video, weird how both front abs wiring looms were missing/broken,cut ?on the Audi . The topdon is a great bit of kit more for the professional than diyer.👍
Rodent bites look very different to clean cut ? Usually gnawing marks . Where cut cables will be very straight . Didn't look gnawed to me. I deal with telecoms cables and rodent damage is a constant underground issue in some areas
Any chance of doing a van tour mate?? I've got a combo that need yo set up as garage closed and going mobile. But completely clueless at orginastion!! Yours looks great
Nice one, Ryan , topdon looks good, I have to look into that model , I can no longer update my topdon plus as I brought it from Amazon, I take it the cable is long enough to take it to work in the engine bay , great videos mate , top job and top gezza
Question : where do you find the pinout on the abs connector for a model , which pin leading to what ? Having a hard time to locate correct one on my passat and it looks like most of the abs pumps are Bosch , but info on pinout are scarse , cant find in Hayens or other sources , thx
Had a similar situation as this on a my van woke up all dash warning lights on garage to me speed sensors were cut couple of days later same thing happens did find out until the third time it happened that it was fox's chewing the wires had to build little fence to put round my van so they would stop going under it and told neighbors to stop feeding them.
Thanks for showing a bit of that scanner , it looked like the Skoda strut clamp was cracked ? would love to see you really unpick some scanners on your channel , cheers .
dog trying to get to a squirrel or rat under bonnett . check the under bonnett area for a nest . I have seen rats take pieces of cable many times on farm machinary.
Hi, I just came across your channel and it's great, I think we are in the same city. i have a VW Tiguan 2017, had it since new and love it. i have an issue with the DAB signal, it's been in the garage and they changed pars but still the same to be honest. do you have a video on this, what is the location of the antenna (is it the back window) can i make a new booster and maybe look at moving the antenna to the shark fin. i don't have a clue so if you have a video that would be amamzing
I have a similar issue on my Audi A5 where my abs harness got tangled and ripped off from the wheel arch liner.. I would like to know where can i get the £70 harness from.
I need to do a timing chain on a mk8 Honda civic hatchback, it will be the first chain I do so I’m trying to find some videos on it to help but they’re all just us versions of the civic. Do you have any videos yourself or know a channel with a video that can help me please? It’s a 1.4 fk1 engine
The TOPDON X LINK looks a very pro spec tool and very fast acting. As for the Audi with the cut sensor wires. I'd say that was deliberate as the evidence points to the cut done being done by a sharp cutting tool rather than a rodent or similar. If you want evidence that men never got to land and walk on the Moon in the 1960's it's all there with the fact that hard wiring is still the only way to connect sensors to a cars electrical and computer systems. It's like we never heard of 'graphene' which could be printed into the cars body and a junction terminated with high amperage wire to the battery. Keeps you busy as things stand though Ryan.. 😅
Seeen this before. Foxes chew the abs cables as the insulation contains soy and sometimes animal fats. The customer thinks someone is trying to bump thdm off😅
Heard about soy based insulation attracting rats and squirrels but wasn't sure how true that was. Did the ends look chewed or cleanly cut with a blade? Unluckly that both sides potentially got chewed but not impossible if the car is unused for longer periods of time and parked next to that hedge. Great video as usual bet that was a suprise seeing that one.
New cars with computers are completely shite engines don't need all that and run sound with out them years ago buy nineties cars and get your life back

Dito that.
That's a fox bitten the wiring out seen it quite few times
Looks like a really good device. Those cut ABS wires looks extremely suspicious.
Damage caused by vermin or foxes possibly . Have seen similar on loads of vehicles and even brake flex pipes chewed through with the ends covered in hair/ fluff. Wee feckers.
That has to be tampered with? Surely someone has cut it. Not sure why they would though?
Foxes are chewing them in my area , my dads porsche had to have an abs cable replaced, apparently the rubber they use on the cable is a bit of a delicacy to a fox
Great stuff Ryan, a pleasure to watching your videos.
It’s actually surprising how many cars we see that have had the abs sensor wires cut. Keep up the great videos!
Thanks James

Very suspicious. Someone deliberately cut those cables.

Can I ask what scann tool would you say is best to program new old models in to a vehicle. Let’s say from 2000 to 2020 . In your opinion.
The front left arch wiring is an issue throught out the full range of Audi.
Same thing causes headlamp leveling sensor warnings as well on the higher spec models

As always a great video, very informative Scottie.

Awesome would be great to see the repair video if possible..

I love your light bulb test of that kind of fault
We're riding with ya.Great video.
Thanks 👍
I would suspect a break or corrosion at the plug end to the sensor rather than the harness its self

Does the analysis show the time and date each fault occurred?
Another great video well exolained
dog trying to get to a squirrel or rat under bonnett . check the under bonnett area for a nest . I have seen rats take pieces of cable many times on farm machinary.
Bloody squirrels!
Are they the new bio cables made from soya? They wouldn't eat the wire though.

Definitely nibbled through. If it was cut the cut would be clean, not jagged on the rubber bit.

I’m looking to purchase an AES kit, do you know where to get one ? The website charges almost 400 quid for it
I reckon it's mice or rats that have eaten the wiring . This is quite popular activity for them . They chew through wiring
Can I ask where did you get the aes testing kit from .
Elite diagnostic solutions 👍
hi there i dont have any lighs on dash but my cars smoking bad from the back its got boost and there any ideas or can i get you booked in
Rats are attracted to something in the cables.
Heard about soy based insulation attracting rats and squirrels but wasn't sure how true that was. Did the ends look chewed or cleanly cut with a blade?

Oh yes could be rats. But why would they remove a piece of cable?
no Bluetooth dongle 🤔
Great audio
Thanks, I am using a new editing platform which has audio filters
Much better as it blocks all background noise
I had same fault 5 years ago abs wire on 2 cars eaten by young foxes
Attempted murder!!!
Animals having a chew on those normally
Animals with a particular fondness for symmetrical attacks.
New cars with computers are completely shite engines don't need all that and run sound with out them years ago buy nineties cars and get your life back
Amen😅and next shit is add blue its all about money.
looks like rats to me.
On both sides at the same Wires ?? Do you really think they are so smart ?
@@chrisi1909 must be same smell of rubber that they attracted to and thats why both sides
