I think Apple underestimates the appreciation people have for a smaller tablet. I’ve had my 6th gen mini for about two weeks and I love it. I’ll trade up for a pro version the second Apple announces one! Needs slightly louder speakers, pro quality screen, face ID, and a 512 gb option.
You know what, this will be very interesting to watch. I don't think Apple fully anticipated how popular this mini would be. I think they've created a little dilemma for themselves here 😅. Lots of people (including yours truly) would happily sell their iPad Pro for a Mini Pro, but what would that mean for Apple's bottom line? My M1 iPad Pro 12.9 inch was ridiculously priced, they couldn't justify that price point for a mini pro. Then again, they might sell more? The next cunundrum for Apple would be that consumers would start demanding cellular service on their Mini Pros, which would put their best selling product, the iPhone, ah direct competition with their (most likely best selling) iPad. 🤔
I just got my iPad Mini 6 today, and I’m absolutely loving it! As a person who is totally blind and who relies solely on the VoiceOver screenreader, the smaller screen size and the display brightness were definitely not a dealbreaker. When I had my 2017 iPad Pro (which ended up dying on me not too long ago, and the reason why I ended up having to get a new iPad), I found it rather bulky to take around with me for things like notetaking or any type of on the go use. This is the same with my Surface Go, which happens to be my main computer at the moment. So you’re absolutely right that this is going to be the perfect notetaking tablet for me, which I’m also very excited about. I do rely on a physical keyboard for typing, so my Logitech Universal Folio (which was paired to my old iPad Pro) is now paired to my new iPad Mini. the Mini is in its own case but I can still use the keyboard part of the Folio, and the case part acts as a great stand, so that I can type and use the iPad on my lap on the couch. @@PatrickRambles For sure! I’ve tried out several specialized assistive notetaking solutions for blind users, but I loved being able to use my first gen iPad Mini at the time I was in university. It’s a lot lighter and performs better than a lot of the specialized notetaking devices I’ve tried, for a fraction of the cost. And if you’re a Braille user, there’s a really tiny Braille display called the Focus 14 Blue, which is also very light weight. Put the two devices in your backpack, and it’s still lighter than carrying a laptop or even a larger iPad. This being said, if sound quality and screen size are important, I can see why one might go for the regular iPad, or even the Pro or the Air. Although, I must say, the sound on the Mini is not bad at all for a device of its size! :)
@@bentivannavarro784 I find it does very well. I use both Google Keep and Apple Notes, and they both have some neat features that work well on the iPad, like checklists, adding voice recordings to your notes etc.
The Mini is a no-brainer. It's the best size. If Apple wasn't so locked into the big iPads being computer replacements, they might have not left the Mini as an afterthought for so long. When the Air was the top of the line Pad-the Mini got the same chip and specs as the Air. It would be great if the new Mini-now got an iPad Pro version. Apple has finally stopped it's small penalty with the new Macbook M1 Pros. You can get a loaded 14" as well as 16". It's time they do the same with everything, including iPad Mini and iPhone Mini.
IMO, the best option is the cheaper iPhone for $700 and an iPad Mini for $500. Maybe even the SE for $400. The iPhone Pro and the iPad pro are really cool but too limited on the software. You can't really make use of their power. I mean the iPad Pro has a full laptop class CPU. But poo-poo iPadOS doesn't let you do what a MacBook Air can do.
Got mine last weekend, and I love it! I take it with me everywhere, inside and outside my home. I will be using it exclusively on my business trips too.
Depends on your needs. It's a tricky one with the mini because it doesn't have a 128 GB option. 64GB is a little on the low side, especially if you plan to keep it for several years. But 256 is a lot for the casual user.

It doesn’t get very loud either, and that’s been a little surprising to me. But I’ve had mine for around a month and I am also absolutely in love with it. Cannot put it down and just don’t want to.
I had the 4th Gen Mini. I loved that iPad. It was the most usable device I owned, and I’m saying that over my iPhone and my MacBook Pro. It was the perfect blend of form and function.
Throughout your iPad Mini videos, it's clear you're really enjoying the device... and your enthusiasm and sincere smiles are contagious. 😉 Having a genuinely fun experience with such a capable, useful device may be the Mini's greatest selling point for me. Thanks for the follow-up reviews, Patrick!
Yes...it is a fun device! I am astounded at all I can do with it. The screen is clean and clear and colors are fantastic. Working on photos, videos, I feel I am bathing in colors...gorgeous colors make me happy!
I bought this ipad mini just for reading, listening and workout purpose. And it’s so portable and comfortable to use. I can put it on my mini bag to carry everywhere ( without the case obviously 😄)
Dude, same here I use it every. Single. Day. Love everything with it. I looked forward to iPad Mini 6 since June and looked for leaks and rumours almost every day. So awesome what we got with it
The Mini 6 is the ideal size for a portable tablet. I use mine every day, everywhere. I now rarely use my iPhone apart for phone calls and my iPad Pro 12.9” is used almost exclusively for work and where a large screen or keyboard is essential. I absolutely love my iPad mini 6! It is my most used device.
I will get my mini in about a month and I’m so excited after watching your videos! Your personality is so fun and made me even more hyped about it. I can’t wait to use my mini! :)
I agree, bought it for its size and convenience. While traveling its great for quick notes, emails, texts, etc. no need to pull out larger devices unless you really need them. It compliments my iPad Pro and other Apple devices.
I just ordered myself a iPad mini. Your reviews has definitely helped me in my decision making when it came to whether I should purchasing or not and I am glad I got it as it will help me a lot with my uni work
got my very first ipad being the mini solely because i want to up my “manga reading” game to a next level and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. been using since december and i feel like i couldn’t live without her anymore. the thing is… they’re just the perfect size almost the same size as a real novel / manga / comic books and i absolutely love it🥺❤️ also bought the pencil and i did not regret a single bit.
Totally agree about the inconspicuous note taking in meetings which is the primary reason I chose the Mini; to digitise my note taking for major productivity gains
I’m about a month in with the mini too and really pleased with it as a kindle replacement. This video helps me see that I have to use the pencil more because I’m not in the habit yet with my reading device.
I still love my iPad mini. I now use FAR MORE than the iPhone - I often do not even bother to take an iPhone with me, and don’t miss! I have used the iPad Mini for drone flying and so far no problems, although of course the sun light is not the brightest this time of the year, so we will have to see how it works out in the long term. The Tripltek tablet with 1000 nits is the one to get specifically for drone flying - but I would rather not get yet another device
Finally upgraded. the mini solved an issue I've always had with my iPad. Anytime I'd want to use a tablet rather than a laptop, it's because of comfort. the iPad is just too big for comfortably reading in bed, playing games, and so forth. iPad mini is the kindle I've been wanting and more. I'm finally ready to start trying out what Apple Arcade has to offer.
My first time on your channel. A really good review which takes into account real-world usability and not just from the perspective of a content creator. I'll be back!
I am a taxi driver and have been using the Mini to write everything down. It’s AWESOME!!! I can use different colors, use split screen, etc!! No paper waste. I have the shoulder strap on it. So I toss it on when I get out of the car!
Honestly for me the volume rockers are actually quite nice. I just feel around for the camera bump and use a little intuition and viola. Buttt the finger print sensor does usually take a couple presses to unlock unfortunately
You know what would help with the volume buttons … is if Apple makes the next Pencil “retractable” so that it takes up half the space on the iPad Mini, leaving room to move the volume buttons. 👍🏽
Thanks so much for sharing! I've been considering grabbing an iPad Mini as a secondary device. Knowing it's easy to hold, super portable, and light makes it really appealing.
There's nothing like the iPad mini. It's unique in size and power. One of the best tablets I've ever had. It would be nice if Samsung upped their game and launched a Galaxy Tab with decent specs in the same size range. The screen on the S7+ is amazing.
Great perspective on the mini 6! I’ve had mine for 7 months now and I love it. One thing I’m noticing is that the battery drains quite a bit while idle, even with all the various culprits of battery drain turned off. I previously was using an iPad gen 7 and didn’t notice much of idle battery drain.
To me the solution to the volume buttons is to remove them. It is too easy to just swipe down and adjust the volume. The buttons should be there. I catch myself rubbing my fingers on them when holding the iPad.
I just picked up one of these when they went on sale. I was worried after seeing so much negativity around it. I immediately fell in love with it! It's my new favorite Apple device. Sure, it has its shortcomings, but I absolutely love mine. Perfect for mobile gaming.
I find my mini6 something I use everyday glad that you and the other guy you mentioned have an issue with the volume buttons. It’s exacerbated as well when you are left-handed. I’m never sure where the inset power button or the volume controls are. Naturally like everything else, iPads are designed for right handed users.
I love my iPad mini. Super handy. It’s easy to take everywhere for school. Great for reading text and great for math. The volume also isn’t too bad it just about getting used to it. I love it, suggest everyone to buy
I got my hands on the mini six. It seems smaller than I remember. It always looks much bigger in the videos. I really enjoy your enthusiasm and your cut to the chase truth about the pros and cons. Thanks! Toilet paper under? No, no, no. Over only.
I was so excited for the iPad Pro 12.9 - which I still plan to get this year, but i think im going to go for a mini first! Im in the sign / graphic business, and The use case of having it there to take notes and photos of customers windows with dimensions, wall graphics, etc would be so handy. I think youre right when you say it wont be a distraction or an unnecessary "flex" at a meeting due to its small size. And the small price vs other models is super great too !
It’s perfect, really enjoying creating art with procreate too. Reading books poolside in Mexico can not wait. Netflix all in a compact device. I’m curious if they could have added magnets to each side of landscape mode. I agree volume at top would be better if you could turn 180 degree and still attach the pencil
Thanks for this review. Because of this, I will wait as long as possible for getting me an iPad mini, hoping that the next iPad mini will get a much brighter display, since I want to use it outside too.
We thought about getting my 6 year old granddaughter a mini but changed our minds an ordered her a 10.2 for Christmas. Good luck purchasing a 10.2 locally anywhere.
Read your other reviews on iPad mini 2021 yesterday (and hit Subscribe 🙌🏼). I had decided to head to the store to get one today, then this review came out - you had me worried when I saw ‘was I wrong?’ in the title of your vid!!! I use my 12.9” ALL the time at work and home but wanted a small one for portability when I’m out, but not going to work. The pencil sits at the bottom on the Pro when it’s ‘right way up’ so that shouldn’t bother me on the mini. Also I usually deliberately dim the screen, so I think the lower brightness will be OK. So, I’m still heading out to the store. 🤗
I think the pencil at the bottom thing is because of the case - same thing with the Cygnet iPad mini 6 case that holds the pencil. You’ve got me thinking, now - maybe I’ve held my case upside down all this time 😬
I like my iPad mini, and I use it every day for watching videos and gaming. I'm a bit disappointed with the screen though, but overall an amazing product. Great video man 👌
Hi. Thanks for the great video. I am really appreciating your videos about iPad mini. I got mine last week and I’m fully agree with that you said. Thank you!
I haven’t had any issues with the brightness, even outdoors on sunny days. It has been fine. Sure it’s not as bright as my phone but it is by far still easily usable.
I just bought an Ipad mini 6 to start doing digital art. Everyone was telling me that ‘pro is a must for drawing, making animations etc’ But as a poor Turkish girl, pro is not affordable for me. I hope I didn’t made a mistake by getting mini and it’s enough for my goals. Would like to hear your thoughts. Great review btw!
Hi Ceren, I still love my mini. But I'm not much of an artist so I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I can of course imagine that an ultra bright 120hz promotion display on the pro helps 🙂
I’d honestly love to use the iPad Mini as my daily driver and do away with my iPhone altogether however, the fact it doesn’t pair with my Apple Watch AND does not have a dedicated WhatsApp app are major dealbreakers for me. Keep in mind that for those of us who live outside of the US mainly use WhatsApp as the main messaging/calling app.
@@PatrickRambles Good point, although there are valid 3rd party apps that give you a phone number and sms texting/calling etc like Google Voice. With WhatsApp though, you literally HAVE to have a separate phone to scan the QR code to allow you to use the web app version of WhatsApp on an iPad. But yeah I also don’t see them adding these capabilities because it would essentially make the iPhone a redundant device. Great review though!
I always try not to touch the Ipad Mini 6 for long periods of time because i think the heat from our hands could smudge the Ipad color, well thats why i use the protective case (not the original one from Apple because it doesn´t protect the corners of the ipad in case it falls). I use a 3rd party protective case from Amazon that also accomodates my stylus pencil (not the original from Apple because it is too expensive) the stylus pencil has long battery time and came with three spare points and does the job pretty well. Im in love with my Ipad Mini 6. 😍
Yeah, have the iPad mini 5 and would like to take advantage of a few things like higher processing speed and graphics, second gen pencil and stereo sound, BUT I think will wait for the next iPad mini update and see if those little glitches are solved on the mini 7.
Volume button fix (IN MY OPINION): Apple’s software is so good and works so well that I find myself on my iPhone (xsMax) and iPad (mini gen.6) using the control Center instead of the buttons. It just flows for me and well tbh, I think this is part of perhaps getting the consumer to not using those buttons if/when they make a port less iPhone with no buttons, boy I can’t wait!
That’s it? That’s your fix? I have a real better fix.. how can apple be so dumb to let his happen to them. It’s so simple also. It can literally be built so very easily. I won’t say it on this thread but I will share it and you will understand when you see my comment
I want the mini so much, but I already have an M1 iPad Pro. 2 tablets just feel like overkill. I’m trying to wait til next generation which will hopefully have a promotion display
i have the ipad pro 3rd generation, got the mini coz of this size! portability is issue for me and the size is just perfect to carry and travel with. seen some youtubers have the keyboard case but i yet to use any as the apple pencil does the job for the meantime. also stated using it during meetings, so convenient
Love my Mini 6 except for three things… 1.) as you mentioned… the placement of the Volume buttons… I use my Mini mostly in landscape and the Vol Buttons are a pain in the lower left corner. 2.) FINGER I.D. It’s taken about 3 weeks for my mini to get use to my right forefinger placement. The left forefinger is still hopeless and I have to use my digital code to unlock in most instances. 3.). I use the Apple case (the same one shown here on this video) and even with the case on I find the edges of the IPad mini 6 somewhat ‘sharp’. Sharp in the point of being mildly uncomfortable after holding the Mini 6 for more than a few minutes. Anyone else notice this sensation besides me. Otherwise I love this little IPad
You're 100% about the Dock. With the extra power going into our mobile devices, Apple could make the Dock similar to the Mac's so the icons enlarge and scroll.
I certainly haven’t viewed all your videos but the many that I have seen have all been very informative. I do have an iPad Pro, and up until now, I have not considered getting an iPad mini. I am not a techie but am definitely an apple fan and photo hobbyist. Thank you for another wonderful video. Cheers!!
I have a iPhone SE 2022 and a fully loaded iPad mini. Work purchased this set for support stuff the combination is perfect for people on the go I use the mini to write emails and the 🖊 to take notes during sessions and university at night class. It’s cheaper and a better combination then just getting an iPhone 14. As for a keyboard I use a Logitech keyboard and mouse and it never been an issue I can use a monitor if I need to do more typing.
for the buttons, keep the volume set on one side by the pencil on the same side it was and the power on the opposite side, but also by the pencil side, so both of your hands can reach it easier
I bought it to fly my drone and I’m happy with it. So much better that using my iPhone. I live in Albuquerque, NM, USA so it’s really sunny most of the time. iPad Mini does not overheat or dim the screen and I fine the brightness is just fine!
Agree about have a brighter display. My roofer uses a drone. He has to sit in his car to see his display. Seems to be a issue brighter displays could address. Same is true just sitting in a park or backyard or a window seat on a bus.
What I would REALLY like is an iPad mini pro. Posting my last video of the year today. iPad 9 vs ipad mini vs m1 iPad Pro. Check it out if you're interested!
I LOVE THE MINI. Size, Pen2, weight and USB-C make it the best even though it is 2021 version. 11" and 12.9" are too big and clunky. I use this to offload and edit 50 megapixel RAW images for quick processing and it's perfect. If Apple makes a PRO XDR and M2 version next year I would buy it in an instant.
100% agree on jelly screen! If you are not looking for it specifically dragging it top-down - eye isn't noticing it. It even takes some effort to do, so innate laziness saves me there :)
It’s an awesome tablet. I find the folio case to be not as good. It’s doesn’t stand properly and Constantly flops. I also find the new mini to be heavier than mini 4
Returned mine within two weeks. Couldn't stand the jelly scroll, might not bother the masses but coming from an iPad Pro 10.5 it was just too noticeable.
I was all set to get the Mini based on many reviews. Then I went to the Apple Store and played with one with an iPad Air sitting next to it. Shockingly, my eyes really enjoyed the screen real estate on the Air more and it seemed the Air was a 50/50 split of productivity and content consumption for my needs…Just a tad heavier than I imagined. The Mini was gosh darn portable though. Just a wee bit too small for my social media management lifestyle. I left pondering about things harder than before…But I think I’m leaning towards the Air…🥲
@@PatrickRambles jelly gate is on more than one type of iPad it’s on the air and pro model too but less noticeable on the pros. I think they should make pro version of the mini iPhone and iPad mini
Coming from a second generation iPad Wow this is day and night Especially the fact we now have ipencil 2nd generation well that's mind blowing Yes no pro motion Still the probability of this device is just great Ya no m1 Still you can bring this thing everywhere So light so portable so every where And the battery life is really great all day life So is it for you well u think that's something you have to decide For me it's really a all around great device that will doesn't do everything perfect But the again it does what it's meant to do Jack of many trades Master of none And that the beauty of this device
@@PatrickRambles I just tether my iPad with Wi-Fi hotspot on my cellphone. No issues for calls, texting, drone flying. It’s not the fastest but it gets the job done for most uses. It doesn’t work that great for driving directions or mapping apps.
To bounce off of someone else’s comment about the purse, totally true… but also is MOMS!! I hate carrying the regular iPad around- this fits perfect in my 3 year olds small backpack! Mom win!
Why not add the volume button on the top right of the screen itself so there’s not a physical button and no matter what direction you hold the Ipad the volume button will be at the top right on the front of the screen

I will get my mini in about a month and I’m so excited after watching your videos! Your personality is so fun and made me even more hyped about it. I can’t wait to use my mini! :)
Thank you so much for the kind words :). I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do!
Did you get it? I just bought it today but it’ll take a month to arrive. :(
@@Eduardesuper yeah it took forever but it came in the time apple said it would! It’s so nice, I really love it.
I agree, bought it for its size and convenience. While traveling its great for quick notes, emails, texts, etc. no need to pull out larger devices unless you really need them. It compliments my iPad Pro and other Apple devices.
Exactly, Jim.
I just ordered myself a iPad mini. Your reviews has definitely helped me in my decision making when it came to whether I should purchasing or not and I am glad I got it as it will help me a lot with my uni work
Hi Isabel, nice! I hope you like it :)
got my very first ipad being the mini solely because i want to up my “manga reading” game to a next level and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. been using since december and i feel like i couldn’t live without her anymore. the thing is… they’re just the perfect size almost the same size as a real novel / manga / comic books and i absolutely love it🥺❤️ also bought the pencil and i did not regret a single bit.
Hi Safira, I'm glad you're enjoying yours so much!
Totally agree about the inconspicuous note taking in meetings which is the primary reason I chose the Mini; to digitise my note taking for major productivity gains
Exactly.
if you use this in a meeting, plan on getting canned.
I can imagine, plenty of devices to look after. Thanks Jonathan!
same. iPad mini replaced my iPhone 13 Pro.
I feel you man, it's just perfect for handheld gaming. It really is that bed/couch machine we want.
@@PatrickRambles haha just reached 7:40 in the video. I'm "a lot of people" haha. Kindle on steroids is exactly what I was trying to say. :D
😆
My first time on your channel. A really good review which takes into account real-world usability and not just from the perspective of a content creator. I'll be back!
Thanks! I appreciate it :)
@@PatrickRambles I need ipad but I have a no money so can you help me????
I am a taxi driver and have been using the Mini to write everything down. It’s AWESOME!!! I can use different colors, use split screen, etc!! No paper waste. I have the shoulder strap on it. So I toss it on when I get out of the car!
That's so cool! Thanks for sharing, Jessi 👍
Honestly for me the volume rockers are actually quite nice. I just feel around for the camera bump and use a little intuition and viola. Buttt the finger print sensor does usually take a couple presses to unlock unfortunately
Oh how funny. For me it's the other way around, it works every time 😅
Rescanning your finger might help. It’s missed probably only once in the few weeks I’ve had it
I NEVER had any problems with the sensor. You should really try to rescan.
You know what would help with the volume buttons … is if Apple makes the next Pencil “retractable” so that it takes up half the space on the iPad Mini, leaving room to move the volume buttons. 👍🏽
Great idea!
take a cruise on the love boat and forget all this apple stuff..
I bought a case with a built in pencil slot from Amazon. It keeps the pencil connected for charging.
Thanks so much for sharing! I've been considering grabbing an iPad Mini as a secondary device. Knowing it's easy to hold, super portable, and light makes it really appealing.
Hey Jon! Yeah that's exactly it. I don't think many of us "need" the iPad Mini but it's just so convenient and fun 😅
I like your point that the mini won’t offend anyone. I’m a teacher and think, if the scaling issue can be fixed would be awesome!
Hey Steven, I hope it will. Seems like something Apple could fix in a future iPadOS update.
There's nothing like the iPad mini. It's unique in size and power. One of the best tablets I've ever had. It would be nice if Samsung upped their game and launched a Galaxy Tab with decent specs in the same size range. The screen on the S7+ is amazing.
Love the mini!
@@PatrickRambles yeah, super happy with it!
Hey! That's sucks man. I don't have that issue, have you reached out to Apple?
I find myself using the virtual volume slider way more than the physical buttons and it’s honestly not a problem.
Same
To me the solution to the volume buttons is to remove them. It is too easy to just swipe down and adjust the volume. The buttons should be there. I catch myself rubbing my fingers on them when holding the iPad.
I know what you men. I've turned off the iPad a few times, trying to adjust it while laying flat.
I love my iPad mini, this thing is fantastic! Brighter screen would be nice, but I haven’t had a problem.
🙌
I just picked up one of these when they went on sale. I was worried after seeing so much negativity around it. I immediately fell in love with it! It's my new favorite Apple device. Sure, it has its shortcomings, but I absolutely love mine. Perfect for mobile gaming.
Hey Chris, that's exactly how I (still) feel about it. Nowhere near the best iPad but the one I like to use the most.
I find my mini6 something I use everyday glad that you and the other guy you mentioned have an issue with the volume buttons. It’s exacerbated as well when you are left-handed. I’m never sure where the inset power button or the volume controls are. Naturally like everything else, iPads are designed for right handed users.
Hey Rick, thanks for sharing!
I love my iPad mini. Super handy. It’s easy to take everywhere for school. Great for reading text and great for math. The volume also isn’t too bad it just about getting used to it. I love it, suggest everyone to buy
Agreed.
I got my hands on the mini six. It seems smaller than I remember. It always looks much bigger in the videos. I really enjoy your enthusiasm and your cut to the chase truth about the pros and cons. Thanks!
Toilet paper under? No, no, no. Over only.
Haha, I agree on the TP. Thankfully that was stock footage, or someone in my house would have needed a serious talking to 😅
I was so excited for the iPad Pro 12.9 - which I still plan to get this year, but i think im going to go for a mini first!
Poolside in Mexico... Where do I sign up 😅
Hola!
🙋♂️
Thanks for this review. Because of this, I will wait as long as possible for getting me an iPad mini, hoping that the next iPad mini will get a much brighter display, since I want to use it outside too.
Bought my mini last week, I’m impressed. Would have been nice to have face id though.
Yeah, along with some other things *cough* 120hz *cough*. Still great fun to use though!
We thought about getting my 6 year old granddaughter a mini but changed our minds an ordered her a 10.2 for Christmas. Good luck purchasing a 10.2 locally anywhere.
I bought the same one for my daughter (she's also 6 🙂). The bigger screen is better for kids' use cases in my opinion.
Hi! The pencil at the bottom 😱... Thanks for subscribing, I hope you enjoy your mini!
I think the pencil at the bottom thing is because of the case - same thing with the Cygnet iPad mini 6 case that holds the pencil. You’ve got me thinking, now - maybe I’ve held my case upside down all this time 😬
Haha 😅
I recently knew your channel, I love your iPad Mini reviews and your club music intro! congrats!
Thanks so much!!
I like my iPad mini, and I use it every day for watching videos and gaming. I'm a bit disappointed with the screen though, but overall an amazing product. Great video man 👌
Thanks Johan!
Does the battery last when you play games? I'm planning to buy this for gaming
@@dranreb6174 battery is decent. It's the smallest iPad so it has the smallest battery. Thankfully it charges super fast too :)
Why don't like the screen?
@@blashomin jelly scrolling, but you don't notice it too much but sometimes it's annoying
Hi. Thanks for the great video. I am really appreciating your videos about iPad mini. I got mine last week and I’m fully agree with that you said. Thank you!
Thanks man, I appreciate that!
I haven’t had any issues with the brightness, even outdoors on sunny days. It has been fine. Sure it’s not as bright as my phone but it is by far still easily usable.
stop lying why dont ya?
I just bought an Ipad mini 6 to start doing digital art. Everyone was telling me that ‘pro is a must for drawing, making animations etc’ But as a poor Turkish girl, pro is not affordable for me. I hope I didn’t made a mistake by getting mini and it’s enough for my goals. Would like to hear your thoughts. Great review btw!
Hi Ceren, I still love my mini. But I'm not much of an artist so I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I can of course imagine that an ultra bright 120hz promotion display on the pro helps 🙂
I am pretty happy with mine . I think A 64 gb would have been enough though . 256 is overkill .
Hey, happy to hear it! For me it's definitely not overkill. I've filled mine up 70% (at 256GB)
you are way off the balance beam bro.. 64 GB aint crap
This iPad is amazing watching this on it now good battery life very portable 100% recommended if your a sit back Netflix and chill type of guy
Agreed, it rocks.
Also doesn't allow stand alone cellular calls. I'd love that too but I don't see Apple canibalizing the iPhone.
Thanks! BTW, you should give Telegram a try. Much like WhatsApp but no phone needed.
I’m going to pick one of these up for my birthday. It’ll be replacing my old tired 9.7” iPad Pro.
Thanks for sharing!
Which cover & pencil do you use from Amazon please.
That's yellow ipad really stunning
Yeah, have the iPad mini 5 and would like to take advantage of a few things like higher processing speed and graphics, second gen pencil and stereo sound, BUT I think will wait for the next iPad mini update and see if those little glitches are solved on the mini 7.
I hope they will update it quicker than they have in the past.
Love your video and totally agree with you. I truly hope they upgrade it more often with better and better screens and features! Love my Mini!
Thanks Jane!
Nice one Patrick you should have had a clone like Alex one for and against 🤣🤣🤣 keep up the good work 😎💯🇮🇪

@@PatrickRambles 🤣🤣
manifesting ipad mini 6!!
Volume button fix (IN MY OPINION):
Apple’s software is so good and works so well that I find myself on my iPhone (xsMax) and iPad (mini gen.6) using the control Center instead of the buttons.
@@elliotonemartinezone2151 no need to share. You’re wasting your time kid
Got mine Sunday and it’s perfect for media and web surfing…haven’t used the volume buttons yet…just swipe down to access the volume.
I want the mini so much, but I already have an M1 iPad Pro. 2 tablets just feel like overkill. I’m trying to wait til next generation which will hopefully have a promotion display
I totally get you. If I didn't have a review channel, I would have some tough decisions to make 😅
i have the ipad pro 3rd generation, got the mini coz of this size! portability is issue for me and the size is just perfect to carry and travel with. seen some youtubers have the keyboard case but i yet to use any as the apple pencil does the job for the meantime.
also stated using it during meetings, so convenient
Love my Mini 6 except for three things…
1.) as you mentioned… the placement of the Volume buttons… I use my Mini mostly in landscape and the Vol Buttons are a pain in the lower left corner.
Hey man, thanks for sharing! Maybe a dumb question but have you tried deleting and re-recording your fingerprints? Mine seems to work without fail.
@@PatrickRambles yes, both fingers in fact. Might be worth another try for the left one. Thanks
My friend Fernando Silva hates touch ID for the same reasons as you. I wonder why it works better for some than others.
@@PatrickRambles reset all fingers… now all working perfectly. Many thanks
Happy to hear!
Cheers!!
Thanks so much!
Bought mine two weeks ago with the Apple Pencil 2. Ngl I have been loving it more than I anticipated.
Haha same here :)
for the buttons, keep the volume set on one side by the pencil on the same side it was and the power on the opposite side, but also by the pencil side, so both of your hands can reach it easier
I bought it to fly my drone and I’m happy with it. So much better that using my iPhone. I live in Albuquerque, NM, USA so it’s really sunny most of the time. iPad Mini does not overheat or dim the screen and I fine the brightness is just fine!
Hi Helen, that's great to hear! Yep, doesn't get much sunnier than that 😅. I'm surprised the brightness is enough tbh. But if it works, it works!
I would get a policy out on your iPad if you live in crime ridden NM.. I feel badly for you.
Got my mini about three weeks ago, worth every dollar
Right? 🙌
Agree about have a brighter display. My roofer uses a drone. He has to sit in his car to see his display. Seems to be a issue brighter displays could address. Same is true just sitting in a park or backyard or a window seat on a bus.
for me the perfect Ipad mini is still to come, the format and weight is great, I miss only an edge to edge display than it would be perfect
Hey man. You sure? It would look dope but think about all the accidental taps you'd be doing it you didn't have bezels
@@PatrickRambles you might be right, may be I just prefer my previous 11" IPad Pro for the screen size but found it too heavy
What I would REALLY like is an iPad mini pro. Posting my last video of the year today. iPad 9 vs ipad mini vs m1 iPad Pro. Check it out if you're interested!
Patrick, I bought one thanks to your videos, and I love it!
Sweet!!
I'd literally throw my money at them and give away my other iPads.
100% agree on jelly screen! If you are not looking for it specifically dragging it top-down - eye isn't noticing it. It even takes some effort to do, so innate laziness saves me there :)
Haha!
how about you just put the jelly on your bread and shut the heck up, sound like a plan bro?
i'm currently waiting for my ipad mini 6 to arrive 😁 so excited since it's my first apple device!
Hi Mia! It's the prefect first Apple device too. No frills, easy to use but so fun 😁
I thought I’d regret getting one instead of the iPad Air 4. Butttttttt I’ve been taking it everywhere and love it!
Haha same 🙌
It’s an awesome tablet. I find the folio case to be not as good. It’s doesn’t stand properly and Constantly flops. I also find the new mini to be heavier than mini 4
I got mine tomorrow morning.....so excited 😆
Returned mine within two weeks. Couldn't stand the jelly scroll, might not bother the masses but coming from an iPad Pro 10.5 it was just too noticeable.
Is 64gb enough for your needs? I’m a student, just want to know your thoughts. Thank you
Personally I wouldn't recommend 64GB in 2023.
That is the same setup I currently have and yes iPad Mini 6 is a great tablet since it a tablet focus device
The way you talk, amazing! Love from Bangladesh.
Thanks man 😁🙌
I’ve been looking for something that would be a great digital notebook while still being useful for other things!
The mini hits that spot for me 👌
I was all set to get the Mini based on many reviews.
Hey Matthew! They are both excellent, you really can't up wrong :)
@@PatrickRambles jelly gate is on more than one type of iPad it’s on the air and pro model too but less noticeable on the pros. I think they should make pro version of the mini iPhone and iPad mini
air is much larger, the iPad mini is a smaller iPad where the air is larger.
How many gb does your mini 6 have? I didn't notice where you mentioned that. Is 68 enough for casual use?
I don't know why but the pocket montage made me gigglr a bit ahahha
Great video!! ♡ Keep up the awesome work
Haha thanks!
Coming from a second generation iPad
Wow this is day and night
Especially the fact we now have ipencil 2nd generation well that's mind blowing
Yes no pro motion
Still the probability of this device is just great
Ya no m1
Still you can bring this thing everywhere
So light so portable so every where
And the battery life is really great all day life
So is it for you well u think that's something you have to decide
For me it's really a all around great device that will doesn't do everything perfect
But the again it does what it's meant to do
Jack of many trades Master of none
And that the beauty of this device
Works great with good notes … great for work as a sales person I kill it with this little thing
🙌
Your color palette is amazing. I dont say that often.
Thank you Keilah, I appreciate that!
Thanks to your reviews that made me decide to buy one! Just arrived and going to have a blast with this. Cheers!
Oh man! Let me know how you like it :)
you know you are totally not getting one because you later looked at your budget and realized " I aint got this money bro"!
The best option for the volume buttons - just swipe down from the top right and use the slider to change it.
Yeah sure but I want tactile buttons 😅
Best iPad ever! I love it, I Originally bought the 64 GB and then I returned it and got the 256 GB
Smart man. I regret not getting cellular 😕

Why not add the volume button on the top right of the screen itself so there’s not a physical button and no matter what direction you hold the Ipad the volume button will be at the top right on the front of the screen
Technically you can swipe down and use the control center.
I’m left handed so the volume spot is PERFECT for me
But it's still at the bottom..
