These guys play like 8 hours a day minimum 😅 when they aren't playing they are theorising or finding the best builds and way to win.
I'm a decently strong 1750 and played for 25+ years but it does take a lot of losses, time and patience to get half decent, Hera would still crush me 20-0 without trying lol.

Because they are competitive players. They learned how to build economies quickly, never idling your TC and at the same time scouting/attacking. Also knowing all the civs and their units as well as techs and strenghts. It is a lot of Meta knowledge, muscle memory and experience in decision making. You either play for fun or to be competitive. If you are the latter you just do things to work on your weaknesses. But also getting this good transcends from playing a video game as a hobby to a second or even primary job. So you not doing that would explain it.

It's called me a micro nerd lol. Honestly you can be this good as well if you practice shortcuts macro. I've been playing since release and if you played 20 years ago or more then you know these fast type players didn't exist then. The macro wasn't there yet lol. If you played online any back then you probably played me lol. With dial up. Used to be all black forest maps and no siege was allowed online.
