Canada is slowly digging a hole for its grave. We're getting an extreme amount of immigrants and they've caused such high house prices. While the rich cronies can get cheaper labour from desperate immigrants, we are here suffering.
The projected 400 000 thousand new immigrants for 2022 is absurd.

I live in Japan, unless you live in the big cities of Tokyo or Osaka, you can get cheap places. I live in southern Kanagawa, south of Yokohama, our rent is the same as my sister's in Canada and I have a 2 bedroom, 2 level small house, she only has a small 1 bedroom one floor apartment for the same price. Food costs it's cheaper here than Canada. It was more expensive for me living in Canada than here.

It is difficult to get status to be able to live and work in beautiful Bermuda (with some exceptions, and depending on the need there for one's particular job) but that island has one of the highest per capita incomes in the world. When China announced that it would take back Hong Kong, a number of reinsurance companies, with their money, relocated to Bermuda. Lots of offshore money shenanigans go on there, too.

Bermuda wasn't included in the top 10 of most expensive places to live when it definitely is. To add insult to injury the picture of the white roofed homes attributed to Bahamas is a picture of Flatts Village Bermuda. Please make the necessary connections.

I live in Luxembourg and i can confirm it it’s true, herr everything is expensive except transportation and health care. Transportation is free of charge for all the people commuting in Luxembourg and health care is mostly cover by the insurance. For example dentist for cleaning my teeth i just need to pay roughly Eur 40-50 and it will be reimbursed. Birth control pils is covered i paid EUR 9.99 for 6 months birth control pils, my glasses and sunglasses with prescription is covered at least 40%-60%. But shared apartment for 20 square meters cost EUR 800/month before any additional charges. The quality of life is amazing but be ready with the extreme prices. I think Luxembourg Minimum salary wage for 2022 is around 2250 gross.

Also Luxembourg is weird to see on this list since they barely have to pay anything and people from neighboring countries go to Luxemburg to buy stuff because it’s cheaper there. especially for refueling their car, or buy cigarets. because of the low taxes.

Most things are expensive in Singapore. Standard of living in Singapore is really not so good. Average Singaporean works long hours with average pay and would have to cross over to Malaysia for a good seafood meal as one in Singapore could cost them a few day of their salary. 😢
