Each year we do an update on the best countries for Retirement in the world. Main aspects like Visa polices, Quality of life, Cost of living, Climate, Housing and Healthcare system play a crucial role in the rankings of these countries. Collectively almost all of these countries are already well renowned among retirees, as most of these countries repeatedly make into the list. But our ranking is going to be slightly different, as we are also going to factor in things like Safety index, crime rates as well as Tax incentives for pensioners.

    Malaysia is extremely underrated in many ways especially the capital of Kuala Lumpur. I felt safe, people were super nice to me and limitless options of food.

    Mexico Nope , Columbia Nope , France Nope ,Italy Nope, Greece Nope, Spain Nope, Costa Ripoff nope .. Portugal, nice but played already .. Expensive

      Yeah I agree. Looks like the best option is stay home and figure it out tbh. I don't see any real advantages in any of these places.

      Totally agree - these suggestions are wishful thinking, and lacking any semblance of risk analysis. I’d take my tax paying western oasis any-day!

    Many countries offer so much. Safety in Asia is a concern. I will nor ever go to the Philippines, Vietnam, Korea,China. So many people are leaving these countries….why move there. Believe me, you stand out if you are Caucasian. Third world country lifestyle may sound exotic and exciting but safety is very important. There is a reason why they are third world status. From what I have seen, North America is the best place to live.

      Cape Verde island is poor but very nice country. They should go there now that is cheap. In the future will be very expensive

      One of my clients went to Mexico City for a conference a few months ago, and he was instructed not to leave the hotel area even during the day!

Ive been all over mexico and had no problems...no more dangerous than the United States( i realize that isnt a very high bar haha)...its the morons who suffer. Give a choice between Maimi, Santa barbara, New York, Chicago, Honolulu...basically any U.S metro of note vs San Miguel de Allende...I'm in Mexico easily
