Philippines is not only safe, but EXTREMELY safe. Saying it's increasing in crime is just ridiculous. They are some of the nicest people. Consider it the safest place in terms of crime that you will be in, if you come from the U.S or Canada.......

Been living here for just over a year and cannot feel safer. Only issue is the roads which can be very dangerous, like many third world countries. But to make that statement about crime is ridiculous. I doubt anyone watching this is intending on retiring in a tent in the worst slums in Manila...
