- Gujarat is renowned for its bright sunlight weather, which is now powering thousands of households and businesses across the state, thanks to the burgeoning rooftop solar scheme. As Gujarat continues its march towards renewable energy, residents and entrepreneurs are reaping the benefits of this eco-friendly initiative. The boom in rooftop solar installations in Gujarat can be traced to the favourable policies introduced by the government. In 2019, the Gujarat government introduced a solar subsidy scheme - ‘Surya Urja Rooftop Yojana-Gujarat,’ since then, the state has witnessed a significant surge in its adoption. Residential consumers can avail of the Central Financial Assistance directly from the newly launched ‘National Portal for Rooftop Solar’ portal.

This is wonderful. More solar energy means lesser burning coal, much of which India has to import. Solar panels are also probably imported, right now, but hopefully it will change in the future. The only question is:
Is the energy required and pollution incurred in manufacturing these solar panels going to be offset by the free energy received from the sun and the pollution reduced due to this ? Hopefully, it is so. Cleaning the solar panels in our dusty Indian cities is another pain.
This are not a imported panels this are manufactured by local companies in Gujarat. Why Gujarat government give subsidy on imported solar panel. Although few raw materials are imported but it is too much privatized now so adani and other player may start all things to manufactur by their own.

The biggest benefit of rooftop solar is cost of land for this purpose is zero as otherwise the terrace space is wasted.

Actually within 1 year karnataka is now out of list of favorable investment destination. Maharashtra and karnataka had done there too much loss in this 2 to 3 years due to political instability and economic mismanagement.
Unfortunately our southern state Andhra does nothing like this new except asking people to take free money from govt schemes and keep voting them and stay lazy

Gujarat and Rajasthan are two states, that use Solar Panels for electricity (alternative sources of energy), via sustainable development.
Now, I am impressed by this move of the BJP, heavily.
My question though-
Can you create such a model in all the states of a "MONSOONAL COUNTRY* like India/ Bharat/ Hindustan??
And, is it possible in my state, Odisha?? Atleast in Bhubaneswar, where 'expenses' aren't really that of a problem, but the 'rain' is??

India has 300 days of clear sunny days in including your state and even in winters odish doesn't get snowfall or heavy mist and fog so u can enjoy more sunny days compare to other northern states like up rajasthan

What do they do in monsoon when sun doesnt shine during most part of the day? Do they have alternate source like a generator? or the usual electricity?
In most of gujarat the rainy days are less and they have hybrid connections where they can have alternative electricity if solar fails
for that we would use the conventional govt. provided electricity 7-9 Rs./KWH walla.....Cuz the meter is conncted with the main connection right that's why the unused electricity goes to the grid(from Solar), so with the same main line you are going to get current when it is needed(during the rainy or cloudy days)
in rainy days solar panel still create 80% of electricity they were producing

Are these panels made in India 🇮🇳 with materials sourced from India?? Also what about the electronics and storage???? That is the important aspect. Doing this with made in China panels should not be allowed.
Not right now , only panels production is started but the raw material is not produced in India , but soon it'll be start producing in india
