I owned one of those old Carolla’s, reliable as the day is long . I took it from 100 to 190k in 4 years and it only wanted for consumables. It went to Africa and I bet it will be running for another 20 years.
yes we did used to export them before covid also old toyota avensis would go for export too
Love the videos Lee, take no notice of the critics, the lower end of the market is allways more interesting, love the auction vids, I deal in anything up to 4k myself and I'm with you all the way, can usually get out of even the worst car at that budget without too much hurt, keep doing what your doing mate and we'll keep watching

I sold a black bmw compact no rust with 55,000 miles, full mot 4 new tyres and battery for £500 5 years ago prices are still high

These videos are just so much fun and inspiring. If you are in the market and not rolling in cash and have the means to put any basics right why risk a private buy or an unknown dealer? Well that's my logic/excuse for buying my next pigsty on wheels from an auction!

That old C class merc was an absolute bargain at £675. Sold my old one for £1200 on fb market place, last year with 4 times the mileage.
Bout time someone on here showed a reasonably priced vehicle check, all these you tubers touting that car vertical is a rip off £30 per check! 90 percent of it is open source information all on the internet, and i can assure they arent ploughing £30 a check out, some cheap cars went through there bro looked a good day, stay safe
thanks bud, the car vertical check is very in depth but is pricey, vehicle scores check far more reasonsble and covers some of the unisured auction salvage checks you cannot find on normal hpi checks.

In Scotland most decent auctions have stopped the general public for registering, I spent 20 years in the trade but as a non dealer cannot get myself a wee car or two to flip.
Haven’t been to a car auction for 5 years + But watching your videos inspired me to get back on it! Great content! Stuff for the average person! Keep them coming pal 😉

Just bought a 2019 LWB Transit on Saturday with 40k on it 22k need another van and 7.5 ton tipper before this Khan ULEZ comes in he’s costing us an arm and a leg to keep the wheels turning , if you get something let me know cheers enjoying the content 👍

One of the reasons I enjoy your videos is precisely BECAUSE you buy and sell lower price cars. There are dozens of on line sights with people doing high price stuff. I also have learned a lot watching your stuff.

i like the fact it gives a valuation from averages of others on sale, your would normally have to pay for a cap or glass valuation for that sort of info
As people get more skint , cost of running cars goes up. Stuff will get cheaper and cheaper
I really enjoyed that video, it was the first time I had ever seen a live car auction, thank you for taking us along Lee, I did notice a lovely second generation, pre facelift Śkoda Fabia in tangerine orange, I really did like it❤.

Everything seems to be going very cheap at the moment but sales are very low too, either way I’d say it’s a good thing as the market seems to be getting back to it’s senses..
The cheap end seems to be strong on the sales front, but your right about general sales its a little quiet.

just throwing a few expensive vehicles in now and then just to diversify it a little but the core of wjat i buy is cheaper end and always will be

Reminds me of when I was a trader! Those mk 6 Fiestas fly out of the door. The only issue with auctions is the fees and obviously the fact you have no idea what the car is really like until you drive it, but that's the gamble. Great video!

just cannot buy autos at book price currently, the book price is id always way out
Think it’s up and down, bargains can be had but again, some still go for silly money. The auction buyers fees are what takes the mick, they eat into your profits if you are not careful. I think auction prices still need to come down some more.

Try some other cars as well ! It rated mine low even though it is one owner, full service history and no accidents! I won't be using it !

@@01jvbunfortunately, service history is not something the DVLA require to be registered, so we expect user discretion when it comes to the score. What we take take into account is major comments on the MOT history, age, mileage, year mileage, MOT pass rate and more!

Youre right about private entries there always in there for a reason direct main agents cars are best but you usually pay a premium for them

I bought a 10 year old Seat Ibiza 1.9 TDI ( vw golf engine) at auction with 88,000 miles for 1200 pounds in 2016. Roll on 7 years and it's still running fine. Probably spent same amount on normal maintenance. So that's very cheap motoring for 7 years. Not interested in going to a retail garage and paying thousands of pounds for a similar vehicle

Loving these auction videos, always so interesting, not a Peugeot fan but the blue one you won looks to be a right bargain. I paused the video and did a vehicle score on my old Panda and it was bang on, only negatives over ten years old and over 100k but it's a 2011, other than that I got 591 which is more than fair, thanks for the heads up 👍🏻

not really, just handy if its estate or 4x4 as its more likely to be used for towing, some people dislike a tow bar as it shows its been used for towing and may have been abused. each to there own 🤷♂️

I'm Wakefield born and bred , never knew.their was a car Auction here so will have to have a look were it is. The 56 plate 207 you bought Lee I've now got the adsatly the same car colour and year other than mine has 64,000 miles, I sold the wife's mini at Xmas and happen to tell my 83 years old Dad I was looking for a DS3 or Clio . Old man said save your money I'm giving up driving. Hopefully shouldn't have too many problems clutch was replaced recently and headgasket last year. Dad had the car from 2 years old . The G-wagon with the area your at wouldn't be surprised if that had been a premier League footballers when brand new the foreigners seem to sometimes stick with Left hooker's. Good video as usual.

I am not seeing that at my end of the market, people seem to be buying the cheaper vehicle, runabouts and ditching lease vehicles or HP that seems to be the main trend

@@carukchannel Hey Lee, yeah well I’m a bit of a fan of them, I had a 225 in 2008 and I’ve just got a MK3 TTS last month, but now I’m in Australia. Car prices are bonkers here as well btw, I’ve been here 13 years now and it’s amazing. See 15 year old Land Cruiser Prados for stupid money.

aston barclay allow private punters but you have to register on the day with two forms id and a small refundable deposit, also check out wilsons auction group they allow privare punters too
To purchase a vehicle from us as a private buyer, you will need the following documents -
Photo ID (Driving licence or passport)
Proof of address (less than 3 months old) must be a Bank statement, utility bill or most recent council tax bill.
£400 deposit via debit card (must be same name as the ID) The deposit is refundable if nothing is purchased, on a 3 days BACS.

If your winning bid is provisional and the vendor accepts it do you have to buy the car? Oh, and that Land Rover commercial was way cheap.
yea you have to stand on your bid, unless the vendor asks for more money or counter bid in which case you can say no and walk away from your bid
Where do you advertise your cars? Right in my catchment is the 1k to 3k car haha!
i sell them from my workshop i only put up for sale a few at a time and they normally sell straight away, however i am opening a retail pitch soon in August 👍
