I've noticed Corsas seem to have gone up recently. They were always really cheap, but not so much now. I dunno why. I think you were right to set a 1500 limit on that.
8:08 one of those unusual Scottish 07 registrations with a T (rather than S) first letter of the area identifier. T was only used (in addition to the normal S) in the 07 reg period.
Some lovely cars going through there today Lee, that Jag looked nice, the Saab was lovely (would have liked to have that myself), and I liked the Volvo and Vectra too. I like how honest they are compared to how much of a dog that 4 series BMW was. Great content again Lee, your videos and content are improving all the time.
That V40 was clean. My mum and dad had a 2.0 S40 same shape and it was solid, very reliable. This one here being the 1.8 has the engine out of the Mitsubishi Carisma, part of the platform share, great cars. Great content 👍
Some good purchases there Lee - a really good mix of something for everyone. Looking forward to seeing the update on these when you flip them. Hope you get your car lot sorted fella!
That Magentis was the sort of thing I used to drive when I was working away and petrol prices weren't what they are now. Big, cheap, comfy and auto. As my ex- used to call it a "road sofa".
@@carukchannel never had the 3lt , had a couple of 2.5s , nice motors , that Astra was a good buy too ,they always sell , good luck with your buys , look forward to the next video Lee 👍
I absolutely love following you at the auctions, cant thank you enough for this fun youtube channel. Please, if possible, can you perhaps show us some 4x4 and crossover vehicles? Love and huge respect from Scotland x🌹
As a 4 series owner myself, the state of that silver 4 series is shocking, how someone can treat such a nice car like that is beyond me but it’s obviously someone who financed it, afford the monthly’s but can’t maintain it properly. Great video, keep these sort of videos coming.
That big white import bus, I was looking at the front lights and I thought my eyes had gone funny, like I'd got double vision looking at the front lights. Some really nice cars in that auction mate. You got some good buys there I think. And that old Volvo was gorgeous! Love that Mk3 Mondeo.
That Vectra B brought back memories Lee, I had a 2.2 Sri has a hire car in work and thought I was something special in that haha (think it was 150bhp). Rare to spot now. Enjoyed the show as usual
Great video Lee,love the cheap auction videos,if you come across a mk3 escort ghia,I am looking for one, don’t mind a little work but not mechanic thanks & keep them coming pal
If they're cheap it's wrong not to buy. The Kia looks a great buy as does the Mondeo, the Astra well, I'm not a Vauxhall fan but that's not what it's about it's about what will sell and like you say they sell all day long. The Chevrolet I'd probably have given a miss but I think you'll do alright with it. I do believe there's a bloke around the Warrington area that does camper conversions on Elgrand's, blooming nice motors them and that Jaguar at the end was a lovely example. My star of that show was the Saab and I agree with what you said, it's such a shame they're no longer around. Great video again Lee, thanks very much and stay well 👍🏻
Be careful of ECU signal wire problems on the astra especially if your code is showing MAF Sensor problems but a new sensor doesn't resolve the issue..... Looks like you've had some cracking buys mate
Some nice wins mate, love the old mondeo's , i had a 2003 1.8 petrol zetec about 10 years ago , i absolutely loved it, green with cream leather interior , only 89 thousand miles on it when the engine started knocking thought it was just a coil pack but my mechanic told me it was knackered, common problem at the time piston rings just went and their was engine damage from broken swirl flaps, gutted i was
The jaguar was just stunning. We had the Hyundai Sonata at Avis when I worked there horrid car we called it the Frank! Some great cars and some great wins! Well done again Lee for a great video again. The 1.8 Chevrolet will probably be the breather hose all my 1.8 engines in the Cruze and the Espero all leaked!
Good well be, they normally leak from the rocker cover or if your unlucky the oil cooler which drips onto the exhaust manifold its located behind and burns. By the way frank the sonata sounds a real catch 😁
Me also, sold alot of them over the years and never understood why they dropped the 1.8 engine in the later mondeo in favour of the 2.0 petrol or a underpowered 1.6
I'm with you on the Astra H we had a 57 plate Astra Elite 1.9cdti the car was faultless in 6 years we had it last few years were a nightmare getting through Emissions sold it just before 1st lockdown shame the wife wanted a change as the cars that she's had since have been crap.
A little, but saying that I was at auction yesterday and it was hard. I did film the sale but sadly have lost all the content from yesterday as my sd card broke in half last night when removing from the go pro. Shame as we hade some really decent vehicles going through and was going to be a 2 part vid ☹️
Liked your comment about the "old mans" Volvo - we all end up with one of these eventually! I haven't yet - the wife would kill me if I bought one - although that one looked nice (or is that age creeping up?). That Jag X was lovely - nice colour and nice wheels. Look forward to the future vids.
Spot on about the 2001 Vectra and 10 years time. I have seen 1990/91 Cavaliers go through the classic car auctions in this same condition and make good money as will this if kept this way. I do love a Vectra ❤ Just cant help myself 😂😂. Great 👍 Video again
Epic video Lee, kia seems a steal, great little car, mondeo will come out well, chevy, should polish up well, and the astral, so I think you've had a result.... Touch wood.
I have got to say Lee your knowledge base and skill levels including spinning the spanners is well up there, which you have to possess or you could get your fingers burnt very badly. Loved your Volvo comment I have a XC90 for my sins and love it but also drive a Mondeo estate for my dogs love them and would not swap.
800 grand for a Mondeo. Seems like a lot!! Back in the early 90's we had a Volvo 244 DL estate and the car was an absolute tank and more or less unbreakable. We rallied it and generally treated it like shit and it still kept going, lol. I would have bidded for that X-Type Jaaaaag for myself.......
Love these auction videos. My 1.6 Zafira B has got that exact common fault you stated, lamda sensor, which im gonna sort in the week but other than that its a great workhorse.
Lee brought as said to wife one car... that one and that one and that one ..... 😂 we all love these auctions with the reviews of certain motors, the sale itself and a talk after. Do we get to see the chat with wifey?🙈
great videos mate, you should have way more subscribers, your plans for mor videos should bring you them. Great insight into auctions, I live half mile from one but haven’t had the bottle to buy, well done
Saab hell of a lot of car , I mentioned when you bought the 207 my old man had given me and the Mrs his our other car is also a 93 sportwagon after several Saab the 900 was far better quality car but still.loved both 93s I've owned.
Nice one Lee some good buys there luv that jag 37k. Went for 2400 I wud have had that rapped it up and put it in a container for 10 yr lovey motor don’t think you can go wrong with that Astra nice car Cheers Lee 🙂🎥🚗✌️
The Mondeo for me was the best buy 👌🏻 not sure about the chevvy 🙈. Was cheering you on to grab the old Vectra, was lovely jubbly! Relatively new to the channel, really enjoyable 👍🏻
That Vectra sure is a blast from the past. I had a 1.6 one as my 2nd car and I absolutely loved it, it was great until a Volvo rear ended it and wrote it of, the Volvo only had a broken headlight wiper haha. Bought my wife a Astra K 2016 this year and I'm surprised at how good of a car it really is. p.s. great video, new to the channel :)
Love these vids. I loved that Jaaaag. I even liked the MG. Future classics.... Maybe. Actually, I like the Mondeo you bought too. Not so hot on the Astra or Cruze. Hey ho.
4 great buys Lee buddy with good profits to be made on all 4...its like printing money with u..lol...😂😂😂 good on u m8 and great to see your content regularly...love the longer videos at the auctions as well sandwiched in between restoration videos and updates...Keep up the great work Lee...c u in next one!!!...👋🏻👍🏻👏🏻
Always love your videos but get frustrated when you walk past the old ford Focus and c Max's lol. Always hoping you will have a look round them as they are so good and reliable 😉. Take it you are not a cord fan ?? .
@@carukchannel I choose to drive older cars (1990 Volvo 740 SE estate and 2006 V70 D5 currently), so any of the pre-2010 cars in the auction would do me proud as daily drivers, but the Vectra and Volvo are real stand-outs for me; I'm pretty sure that any surviving Vectra Bs will have a cult following in the future.
Glad you missed that BMW 420d. Only thing going for it was the £30 road tax. Mileage on it was high at 116k and it was originally an ex BMW management car I sold my immaculate 65 320d last year and it had only done 38k.
Great video again Lee but is it you putting so many adverts in the the video or Utube? That Jag would of been buying and putting away for another 10 years.
Loving the auction content, there's a fair few cars there that I would like to own for myself. Nice to see you like Saabs, I had 2 convertible 93s until February, I've just got the one now though. Thanks split pin, yes love a saab, had a 900 turbo 8v model about 15 years ago which I got running again, lovely car and would be worth a mint now. Also ran a saab 9000 LPT turbo Auto when I set my auction up in 2013. Gave £125 for it and loved it, sadly someone ran into it outside the trafford centre ☹️
Chevy Cruze is a nice car, but the 1.6 was shockingly short geared, and thus the 1.6 was thirstier than it needed to be. Big heavy car for a 1.6 to shift. The 1.7 or 2.0 CDTi estates are the best ones.
I would have the 1.7cdti over the 2.0 as its more reliable from my experience but not sure if they were 6 speed the 1.7diesel in the chevy, as they picked 5 speed over 6 speed box in the petrol versions which was a better shout as the 6 speed boxes of this era were shocking
Would you be able to do a post explaining the whole process of visiting a car auction from picking the car your interested in to working out the cost inc fees and what if any comeback at to the auction house if the car turns out to be a bad buy. I think it may be a good video to do.
Lee another great auction video. That Mondeo looks a beauty. I was chuffed you liked Saabs. We own 13 within the family 🥰🥰. I was wondering what the banana Merc van went for. Roll on your next video 👍👍
I did film it but it was a little confusing as it was not in the room. Anyhow looking at bids at 19k, which i thought was steep for a written off van effectively that still needs repairing, I know its near new but even so.
Hi paul my workshop was in winsford in cheshire, however I am currently in-between sites as I have sold one and moving to another in August. I will update the channel when I am on the new site with details about the business and stock etc

Great vlog as always mate, all the best.
I've noticed Corsas seem to have gone up recently. They were always really cheap, but not so much now. I dunno why. I think you were right to set a 1500 limit on that.
The Cruze gets a bad rap I believe, no real idea why but I saw a few reviews here in Aus.
Hi mate, where do you find the book price for them at Aston Barclay is it in the print outs I never seem to find it
This has become one of those channels where i have to watch a vid as soon as i get the notification , top job!
Wow, thanks! 😁👍👍
My Mrs is on her 2nd Chevrolet Matiz ..... so far the pair combined have provided over 15 years of cheap reliable motoring
Love that Volvo estate - perfect station car and tip runner. 👍
That 4 series is proper Birmingham spec black windows and someone’s riveted the bumper back together

agree, real shame to see the car in that condition. thanks for watching bud 👍
I was shocked when I saw the bumper riveted on. Such a nice looking car
Wonder if that was a finance car that was abused then ditched when the final PCP payment was requested. Just thinking out loud.
That big white import bus, I was looking at the front lights and I thought my eyes had gone funny, like I'd got double vision looking at the front lights. Some really nice cars in that auction mate. You got some good buys there I think. And that old Volvo was gorgeous! Love that Mk3 Mondeo.

Four good buys. the cruze is a great looking car. But that SAAB, how could you not regret buying that Gem,
I do like a saab but would need to be petrol for me
I had the 2.2d x-type noisy diesel, the petrol 2.5v6 is smooth as silk downside being expensive on tax and fuel
your best quote of the day "we all end up in a volvo" the v40 was a nice car

Hey Lee why don't you travel to Scotland to the car auctions you may get some more nice cheap cars for your business and some expensive ones
There is not many auctions in scotland but I will look into it again

Yes it was not the best to be fair. lovely looking car mind but not one you would want to buy and be proud of
Great video again Lee but is it you putting so many adverts in the the video or Utube?
That Jag would of been buying and putting away for another 10 years.
sadly youtube add adverts every so far in videos and popups,
Some good buys there. Definite profits.
