I had a black three-door 207 1.6 diesel - the GT spec - as a temporary runabout last year and I actually really liked it. Felt like a bigger car than it was, 1.6 diesel is the best engine, had every toy on it (and it still all worked on an 06 plate believe it or not) and sort of wish I hadn't got rid of it. When I did sell it though, it was a young lad who had already written off two cars who took it off my hands....
Also ran and sold a GT 1.6 once, like you say nice looking car and the engine was just ideal to make a warm hatch but decent on fuel too. thanks for watching Mjsee08

i want 5 door, got 3 at the mo an i20 and most time its just me but every time i go away i take everything even the kitchen sink i do not travel light. the boot full the back seats full even the front passenger seat at foot well got stuff it in. but the 3 door its such a pain to load, and painful to reach so far for the belt and think door a bit smaller on 5 so can open a bit more what also helps getting in out in tight car park. i have no intentions getting a bigger car, i just like small cars and light weight cars they can be fun to drive. last summer ferry around my mate and her kids just a nightmare. id never get three door again. but crazy thing is i might get a kei van with two big sliding doors for the back it just depends if the fun to drive as many say and if so a micro camper build and that thing you walk in to back sides or rear door with very little effort. even if it only me most the time 3 door such a pain and that loading and physically

I had a Flame Red Astra as a company car in 1995 - the paint was fading from 12 months old. Two rear end shunts repaired and when it went off to auction 4 years later the back was Flame Red the middle was a soft red and the front end was dusky pink. We had Vauxhall to look at it under warranty and the conclusion was it was all normal and red is "a soft colour" whatever that means. You missed out on the Idea btw
The 57 1.4 Fiesta Ghia was probably worth another bid or two. Being a Ghia always adds a good selling point but I am sure Lee had his reasons for stopping at 725. And you can't really see these cars properly on camera either.
Have to take into account the fees to, 800 then fees on top can turn it into a £1k car before we have even spent a penny on it, I thought the car was 1995 at best but money would need to be spent on it without doubt
Yup yup yup. Happened since start time people not understanding old metal and rubber is just that. A weak bid and stand your chances. Bid at 30/50 and couple low bids hit and go forth. Over bid and upside down under wearer outset with somebodies hated problem castoff !!!!!! As we know.
Some right interesting cars going through there, the Legacy was a lovely thing indeed. The spectre of rust is what makes me a bit wary of them though. That A5 would be the one for me though, what a car at that price even with those miles. I still can't forget that PT Cruiser from part one though, why do I want one 😂
That's the thing with the 4x4s today I sold mine as the tax and insurance was just not worth it for the amount of miles I was doing around 50 miles a month maximum
For me , the Range Rover sport was the star of the show. A lot of car for the money, but as I said in an earlier video the market place is flooded with them & losing massive money [ niche market only ]. trying to find average family & small cars is hard to find @ the moment. You mentioned a Sierra Cosworth regarding being stolen. Got a relative who has owned one new since 1990. Now SORNED and sits unused in his garage. Someone tried to steal it from his door when he was in for his lunch.

Great video once again Lee! Regarding the red paintwork.... Personally i would never buy a red car although the modern paints and lacquers used these days are much improved since the 80s and 90s they are still problematic. Its something to do with UV light from the sun and wavelength frequency of the colour. Red is apparently the shortest wavelength and blue is the longest so red will always fade much faster than any other colour. White or silver is the winner 😀

@@MarkFromEastleigh diesels are meant to be used for long distance driving, they aren't designed for short trips. Plus diesel is usually more expensive and a modern small engine petrol will be just as economical on short runs. Unless you're doing 12,000+ miles a year, I wouldn't touch a diesel.
Those Subaru's are poison - Brother in Law had one - 3 litre petrol auto so very expensive to run - other side was it was cheap. Very very well equipped for an 05 car but ultimately like a lot of Japanese cars of that era the top looked beaut but the bottom just rotted out of it rather quickly once the rust took hold. Neighbour up the road runs one coz he tows a caravan - he has so much trouble getting parts - for about 3 months of summer 2022 he was under it trying to get the brakes sorted - even the local specialists wouldn't touch it !!!!

Two things to bare in mind when buying at auction, (unless they have changed) under a certain value, many set at £5K you buy as seen, if you drive it home and theirs no 3rd gear, no come back, and if car has reserve price, the auctioneer can run the car up to that without any actual bids in the hall, you need to check with each auction house before buying, the buy as seen below a certain amount is important.
My wife is on the higher level of DLA plus she has a blue badge. I believe if we purchased a car like the Range Rover we don't pay any road tax. At the moment we have a Motability car but migh5 be worth considering for the future. We live in Stockport so insurance is not too high and aren't in any future ULEZ zones. What do you think?
Fiend of mine is on dla and runs a RRS, saves a packet on the road tax, great idea to be fair and great car to own and drive, but they will cost you money in upkeep far more than most other options
Never got the big Range Rover desire as 1. I've no need for one 2. Unreliable and expensive. I also remember the 90's when any thing from a cossy to an XR3i was uninsureable. As EV grows the big SUV's ICE based will continue to slid so your business model is the place to be.

good cars but can suffer with corrosion near the back axle mounting points, depends where in germany you live, but anywhere near lots of salt on the roads be careful. However mechanically they are very reliable cars

If you are doing 1200 miles a year, there's no way you should be buying a diesel, regardless of the size and variant.

All auctions charge buyers fee's and yes its open to the public but always check what you need paperwork wise to register when attending

Yes the auto seems pretty decent but not something I have come across that I have bought and sold but I have driven them in my previous business

good cars but can suffer with corrosion near the back axle mounting points, depends where in germany you live, but anywhere near lots of salt on the roads be careful. However mechanically they are very reliable cars
