What about regular simple cysts, Dr. Hashmi? I don’t have PKD, but I have regular simple cysts and proteinuria with a GFR of around 80. My right cyst is the size of an avocado and pushes against nerves in my back causing horrible pain. Can a keto diet shrink SIMPLE cysts the way it does PKD cysts? My daughter was just diagnosed with PKD at 15 years. It seems difficult to find information specific to adolescents with PKD. What should I know? What can we do? We are so lost.
140/80 in office. 3 years off lysinapril. Can not follow the diet in a shelter or living on the street. Can't rest in the afternoon even morning standing is difficult. Apartments that are not purposely priced just over housing vouchers and no nonsense about warrants and credit for meager DTA stipends. Really really HoTT summer last year I personally would prefer not having to repeat that.

Take supplements to slow it down: I take Like 9 supplements . Also eat honey ginger garlic and onion . These are the 9 supplements that can slow it down . Take all of them at once please! Reseveratrol , mushroom extract , grapefruit seed extract, black seed oil, magnesium, multivitamin, vitamin D, olive leaf ,quercetin and lycopene . These are all natural and studies prove that many of these slow PKD progression and cyst formation !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You’ll be ok if you do this and sleep enough exercise and hydrate and reduce stress salt sugar protein . My disease PKD is late stage so it may be too late for me but anyone who does this approach Ive come up with will live longer and healthier with PKD
You definitely want to talk about that with your nephrologist. There are some special considerations with pregnancy and kidney disease. They should be able to look at your individual health history and labs and provide a recommendation around pregnancy!
I had three kids and have pkd. I did just fine, although my blood pressure was a bit high during pregnancy. You also have a 10% chance of a berry aneurysm so pushing during labor isn't recommended. Therefore, an epidural may be helpful.

I had 7 children & no problems with kidney function. I have adpkd. I’m now 53 and in stage 2.
No reason to limit saturated fat, outdated science :) Lets talk sometime!
