Yall sre so insecure to try and put people down most oeiple have asymmetrical faces and leople tend to remember and view people more beautiful than symmetrical faces
Yeah, I think while facially symmetric people do have a better shot at looking good, it’s kind of like having clear skin-of course it helps but it won’t make you attractive on its own. I don’t actually know if I’m attractive, but I will say that when I was younger and realized that my mirror image is a far rounder, sweeter and plumper looking one than my reversed mirror image, it was very upsetting for a while. Over time I realized that I actually preferred my actual face in some ways, as I have higher and more defined cheekbones and less facial fat on the side of my face people see first. My eye is rounder on people’s left which gives an ingenue vibe instead of the almond shaped right. The side of my nose people see first is narrower and more shapely. I then began theorizing that most people are probably better off with their actual face than their mirror image face. I’ve gathered some evidence for this, first when I saw my dad yell at someone in a restaurant with a mirror all around us. His mirror image was extremely crooked-mouthed and slightly alarming. Years later, I looked at my sister’s mirror image while doing her makeup and absolutely blanched. Her mirror image is so not cute compared to her actual face. I practically dragged her to a reverse mirror to explain that she didn’t actually look like that to other people! I recently noticed that while I thought my mirror image’s eyes were prettier than my actual eyes, they actually also showed asymmetry in a far more obvious way (the smaller eye would be what people see first instead real life where the bigger eye is what people see first). I’m still not sure, but I think that there may be something there. Essentially, what I’m positing is, whether your face has asymmetry or not, it’s likely in the most attractive configuration your features would achieve. But I’m not sure if I’m right ofc
@@shirin9452 I still don't get what you mean. When I look at someone's face my eyes don't move left to right, like I'm reading, unless the other person has a face tattoo that can be read.

this comment section healed me. I've been insecure about my jaw asymmetry for so long, always liking how I look in the mirror, but not liking how I look in photos (as I would appear to others). The comments saying the same thing are validating. Also, we are worth so much more than how our face + body looks
I need a video on asymmetry. I have one side of my face below the other, eye, ear, jaw, etc. I've always been told I'm a good looking guy, but it's really something that gives me a hang-up. But for example, the girl in the first picture looks good looking to me even though she's asymmetrical, so maybe even though my asymmetry is noticeable, it doesn't influence other people's perception of whether I'm good looking, I don't know.
My attention span is not the best and I've noticed that too much symmetry makes me forget faces. Asymmetric ones stay in my mind and ultimately make me more attracted to them. I like those little imperfections.
For me it all became from my uneven teeth which causes half of my skull not developing well like the other. But lots of my friend told me that I already have a perfect symmetrical face.
If my face looks okay in the bathroom mirror/up close, but weird in a full length mirror/far away, how do I measure which version is what I actually look like?
your face may look like both , it all depends on perspective . your face will look different to someone standing 5 ft away from you , as opposed to somebody standing 50 ft away from you .
Girl that means that your mirror is “wavy”. Look at yourself from far abd move slowly left to right. You will notice that your face changes. More expensive mirrors doesn’t have that problem.
Thank you for this. I have a pretty asymmetrical face but seeing that normal people have it and i dont even notice it makes me feel better about my situation. As much as i wish i had a better jawline im just glad its not as bad as i thought
I honestly didn’t know my face was asymmetric, like eyes on different levels, until I look at professional pictures of myself. Like no, I swear I look good in the mirror
It is because your mirror is a reversed image of how you look. So, in that case everybody else sees you the opposite you see your self. Fun fact: People see themselves 20% attractive than they really are.
Mild asymmetry is what caused me to be photogenic as a teen and my early twenties. I was hyperfixated on it and it took others telling me they never notice to finally realize its not a big deal.
My jaw asymmetries are my biggest insecurities, my chin is squared and the right corner of my chin is almost significantly lower than the left. Also, my entire right jaw angle is lower than my left jaw angle. The only thing I blame for this reason is that I had a tooth extracted from the left side of my lower jaw when I was a kid and it hasn't been replaced since. I'm 17 right now, can braces alone fix this issue?
better go to a maxillofacial surgeon for a consult to see if braces are enough or if surgery is needed to correct ypur problem. since you already are done growing, the facial bones already could have fused so braces would only shift your teeth, not your jaw. they can tell by the xrays or mri.
I only notice people’s (including my own’s) asymmetries in photos, particularly bad candid ones. I never notice them in real life. Or in the mirror lol.
I have a crooked nose that leans more to one side than the other and I really started noticing it when I got glasses since my glasses often droop to one side. It makes me feel insecure. Thanks for this.
my right eye is skewed af and i f*cking hate it so much. People tell me I look really good pretty often and have an above average face but I just cant get over the asymmetry in my eyes. I appreciate their kind words but I just dont see it in myself
My mouth droops on my right side and my nose is hella crooked but i don’t think it’s that noticeable but im still extremely insecure about it and i always wear a covid mask to hide my imperfections
please, everyone has a slight assymmetry, absolutely no one is completely symmetric, not even the top models or hollywood actors. you think others are symmetric but when you start scrutinizing their faces at the level you do to yourself in the mirror you'll start noticing things. trust me, most people don't notice your slight assymmetry, light up, folks
Welp that sucks. Have an asymmetrical jaw, nose, cheeckbone and eyebrows. It sucks when you do everything in your power to fix it like healthy diet and exercise and sleeping on your back and much more but it doesnt do anything because you cant chnage your bones
Symmetrical people are genetically superior & healthier than the average person, hence why it is rare to see them. Dentofacial Asymmetry is correlated to asymmetry of the spine (scoliosis. kyphosis, etc) & problems with the other parts of the body as well. Asymmetry leads to the body wearing down faster than it should do to imbalance, hence teeth on one side of the mouth have more damage than the other or one knee or foot has problems while the other does not.
@@leonaj.5835this is the abstract of your study, stop spreading false information. Cues of phenotypic condition should be among those used by women in their choice of mates. One marker of better phenotypic condition is thought to be symmetrical bilateral body and facial features. However, it is not clear whether women use symmetry as the primary cue in assessing the phenotypic quality of potential mates or whether symmetry is correlated with other facial markers affecting physical attractiveness. Using photographs of men's faces, for which facial symmetry had been measured, we found a relationship between women's attractiveness ratings of these faces and symmetry, but the subjects could not rate facial symmetry accurately. Moreover, the relationship between facial attractiveness and symmetry was still observed, even when symmetry cues were removed by presenting only the left or right half of faces. These results suggest that attractive features other than symmetry can be used to assess phenotypic condition. We identified one such cue, facial masculinity (cheek-bone prominence and a relatively longer lower face), which was related to both symmetry and full- and half-face attractiveness. It's not actually looking for a link between actual health and facial symmetry

It's really only my jaw thats slighly asymmetrical. And we only notice it because we arent used to seeing that flipped picture ourselves. So while it makes us look "uglier" than what we see in the mirror, other people are completely used to it. So if you get compliments, what you see when your looking at a flipped image of yourself, it beautiful to someone else. The exact same for me! Longer left jaw means my shorter right jaw looks droopier/saggier. I also have a crossbite on my right side, but if it’s a natural crossbite you’ve had from a young age, fixing the crossbite won’t fix the bone development. Like the other commenter said, it’s often due to overall body structure, so you may have mild scoliosis. I do, my right hip and leg is also slightly higher than my left and slightly unbalanced shoulders too.
The only feature that people will most definitely notice is a crooked nose but even then people will get used to your face they won’t even see it as a problem heck I’ve seen underbites being made fun of more than noses so yeah

Quick question. Percent wise, what would be the threshold of deviation for one's features to be in the standard of averageness for a koinophilic face? As the title says; percentage wise, what would be the threshold of deviation for one's features to be in the standard of averageness for a koinophilic face?
It doesn't help at all when people take photos with lens distortion on them, that will mess up your perception if you assume it captured reality accurately (it does not). Objective measurements, correcting the photos for distortion, or reducing built-in errors when taking the photo would help reduce the exaggeration of features. A few of these photos look like they were taken with wide-angle lenses; the centers of the images are distorted.

@@yklls1452 even low severe it makes a difference
Yeah…
i did that to my face and i looked soooo beautiful, i was genuinely shocked. i showed it to my mom and friends, they told me i could pass as a mini megan fox. i was sad i don’t have the face for it
Yall sre so insecure to try and put people down most oeiple have asymmetrical faces and leople tend to remember and view people more beautiful than symmetrical faces
How come you have a side people see first? Are you Mona Lisa or something?
@@Fr0zenPeanut lmao. I just mean left to right. Surprisingly it does make a difference if, for instance, your bigger eye is on the left or right.
@@shirin9452 I still don't get what you mean. When I look at someone's face my eyes don't move left to right, like I'm reading, unless the other person has a face tattoo that can be read.
@@Fr0zenPeanut hmm, I don’t know how to explain it except to say that people look different when their pics are flipped because the arrangement of features across the face. If there were no difference between the sides of the face, they would look exactly the same but they don’t. Because the arrangement of the features is different when they’re on the left or right
@@shirin9452 people look different on flipped pictures only because you're used to seeing them the other way. If you saw a picture of a stranger you would have no idea if it was flipped or not (although you can assume it was flipped if it's a selfie because front cameras on phones always flip the image by default).
Thank you for this I try explaining this all the time to people who say symmetrical faces are attractive

this comment section healed me.
A lot of my insecurities comes from this. I try to do my best to work on them. Keep the amazing job QOVES Thank You Very Much!
I think you look really better :)
@@Welliam706 Thank you Very much!
@@jerefernandez4019 most welcome.
My attention span is not the best and I've noticed that too much symmetry makes me forget faces.
Asymmetric ones stay in my mind and ultimately make me more attracted to them.
I like those little imperfections.
Well, that was cut very abruptly. I wanted to hear the rest 😅
A circular mirror will give you the most accurate representation of what you look like to others irl.
If you sleep on your stomach and sleep with your face turned against the bed watch one side become vastly different than the other. 😂
THIS!
Can you reverse it?
but only changes the jaw right?
I feel like my face is actually pretty symmetrical. But that could just be wishful thinking
Eyes, jaw and nose are my asymmetric
Why do these shorts always cut off
First time hearing this. Wow 🥺. Thank you. I’ve been beating myself up for years
Thank you for this. I have a pretty asymmetrical face but seeing that normal people have it and i dont even notice it makes me feel better about my situation. As much as i wish i had a better jawline im just glad its not as bad as i thought
remember y'all..not everything has to be perfect.
I honestly didn’t know my face was asymmetric, like eyes on different levels, until I look at professional pictures of myself. Like no, I swear I look good in the mirror
So when others saw your photo what did they say?
Did they say you look good or they also saw asymmetries like you did ?
It is because your mirror is a reversed image of how you look. So, in that case everybody else sees you the opposite you see your self. Fun fact: People see themselves 20% attractive than they really are.
Mild asymmetry is what caused me to be photogenic as a teen and my early twenties. I was hyperfixated on it and it took others telling me they never notice to finally realize its not a big deal.
the first one😭😭🤣🤣🤣 we have the same assymetry and I was looking up on the internet about solutions bahahaha
ive always thought i was ugly and i still do , now when ppl say " u r beautiful!!" i feel like they are just lying bc they feel bad
I'm 17 right now, can braces alone fix this issue?
better go to a maxillofacial surgeon for a consult to see if braces are enough or if surgery is needed to correct ypur problem. since you already are done growing, the facial bones already could have fused so braces would only shift your teeth, not your jaw. they can tell by the xrays or mri.
iPhone cameras is scary in the mirror king
I love this channel because it's reliable
I only notice people’s (including my own’s) asymmetries in photos, particularly bad candid ones. I never notice them in real life. Or in the mirror lol.
Yes bruh me too
I even though they have asymmetrical face ppl infront to me seem normal and sometimes attractive too
You won't understand someone's pain unless you go through it😢I have unsymmetrical face and I feel so ugly.. It's just the reality
My whole body is asymmetrical how do y'all fix that
girl same ,u dont fix it lol you learn to live with it and not hate it
Not to worry, I have eyes at different levels AND asymmetrical jaw. Thank you.
yess wassup w the eye assymetry??
I have a crooked nose that leans more to one side than the other and I really started noticing it when I got glasses since my glasses often droop to one side. It makes me feel insecure. Thanks for this.
Video on asymmetry please
my right eye is skewed af and i f*cking hate it so much. People tell me I look really good pretty often and have an above average face but I just cant get over the asymmetry in my eyes. I appreciate their kind words but I just dont see it in myself
This is comforting. I sometimes hiperfirxate on It but when isee myself in photos i dont even notice It, just when im starting at the mirror for hours
My mouth droops on my right side and my nose is hella crooked but i don’t think it’s that noticeable but im still extremely insecure about it and i always wear a covid mask to hide my imperfections
What’s important is that it may be caused by torsion of a scull/spine that should be treated by osteopath or kinesiologyst
please, everyone has a slight assymmetry, absolutely no one is completely symmetric, not even the top models or hollywood actors. you think others are symmetric but when you start scrutinizing their faces at the level you do to yourself in the mirror you'll start noticing things. trust me, most people don't notice your slight assymmetry, light up, folks
Welp that sucks. Have an asymmetrical jaw, nose, cheeckbone and eyebrows. It sucks when you do everything in your power to fix it like healthy diet and exercise and sleeping on your back and much more but it doesnt do anything because you cant chnage your bones
if you're a woman and have mildly asymmetrical eyes you can get away with curling your lashes
No, they are not. Do not lie to people.

Korean Actress Han So Hee has very noticeable face asymmetry but she's still considered one of the most beautiful korean actress.
I has assymetrical eyes which makes me worry of how people actually see me versus how I usually see myself. Which is why during pictures I usually squint to avoid making it noticable in pictures
Oh gosh. My eye is lower and my nose is slanted to the side and I fkin hate it man. This video made me feel a tad better but I really hate looking at people face on and always feel like they are judging
I think this has been the only reassuring video you have made. But I guess the purpose of these videos is to make us insecure, in order for us to contact the plastic surgeons who are the creators of this channel. Must admit, I watch this compulsively so who am to to complain?😂
Bruh my face looks good only in the selfie camera 😭
Except Shannon Doherty had that super high eye and one lower and she was still super pretty.
MY RIGHT EYE IS ABOVE THE OTHER I HATE IT 😭😭
Getting jaw surgery soon cause rn I look like the hunch back off Notre Dame😖😖
Good luck :)
I try to compensate my asymmetrical face with my brow shape! it also helped changing my hairline a bit and reminding me that I'm not really ugly, just hypercritical
I have an asymmetry with how my bottom eyelids looks when I smile, one squints and the other stays put. Idk what to do about it
The second girl is too gorgeous 😍
No one's face is perfectly symmetrical
Except of course: Chico 😬
Lucky me. My right eye is higher than my left eye
Other people call it decent face but in my country we call it public face or muka awam.
as a malaysians i dont think that muka awam bcs sometime ada muka attractive but tak symmetry
People always compliment me and also admire my beauty i dont know how people fall for it even tho ive an assymetrical face
Assymetries are not visible in real life, you barely notice it;my friend looks crooked in photos but irl Hes beautiful.
is there a reason? 😅
@@lovemakesuweak.lens distortion,cams are 2d
It's really only my jaw thats slighly asymmetrical. And we only notice it because we arent used to seeing that flipped picture ourselves. So while it makes us look "uglier" than what we see in the mirror, other people are completely used to it. So if you get compliments, what you see when your looking at a flipped image of yourself, it beautiful to someone else.
(This helped my self esteem ALOT, so really, like i said, you aren't unnatractive, your brain isnt used to seeing yourself from a different perspective 🙂)
I have an assymetrical because today i foumd out its MY TEETH, the tooth extraction i got removed from my doctor when i said it hurts. But in reality it didn't hurt that much but i still wanted it removed😭😭 noooo thats why my face shape is soo bad

That means your left side is more developed than right one ...this is called side bending rotation

Exactly what I was thinking earlier
Ey the first girl looked fine ash tho
The only feature that people will most definitely notice is a crooked nose but even then people will get used to your face they won’t even see it as a problem heck I’ve seen underbites being made fun of more than noses so yeah
I needed this😇
Well I have asymmetry in eye elevation plus distance, my nose, lips and jaw too, plus a receding chin and long nose, oh yeah my ears too. But i do have somewhat nice skin not the best mind you and I'm slim. And did i mention I'm transgirl so my arms are thicker and hips narrower and legs shorter and no boobs, whew. I've always been teased as an ugly person growing up, asians are mean with this sort of thing. but strangely men are attracted to me, not all and maybe not severely but at least 70 percent. Yes my profile picture is me in the best angle. And i do sometimes think I'm beautiful in a mirror when I'm not puffy and good hair days, but mind you i know my flaws but at a later age no one really points them out. So yeah I don't know how it all comes together. Maybe people are nice, maybe my personality is great, maybe I carry myself well, maybe the men of other ethnicities have a different sense of what looks good or they are not picky ( I have moved to South India). I would be a good case study on this.
One of my eyes is higher than the other and the fact that other people see me differently than I do in the mirror has reallt started affecting me mentally ….. if anyone has any tips or advice please lmk
Aww thankyou❤
Quick question. Percent wise, what would be the threshold of deviation for one's features to be in the standard of averageness for a koinophilic face?

It doesn't help at all when people take photos with lens distortion on them, that will mess up your perception if you assume it captured reality accurately (it does not).
Objective measurements, correcting the photos for distortion, or reducing built-in errors when taking the photo would help reduce the exaggeration of features.
A few of these photos look like they were taken with wide-angle lenses; the centers of the images are distorted.
Having crossbite, muscle imbalances in the jaw and similar is something that you have to fix or else you gonna live with a bunch of problems.
the eye asymmetries is also cvalled uneven eyes
