It makes me so happy to see a young guy half my age with a passion for real cars. At your age I owned a 351 XB Coupe, then a 308 HQ< HJ then a Walkinshaw,, a VN and now my LS1 Vy Calais which is still having a shit load of money put into it. Even though I am in my mid 50s the V8 passion never dies. You are like a breath of fresh air, keep it up man.
I grew up in the era Ross is talking about. My first car was a VL Calais that eventually got a set of Gestalt Virouge chromies that where the rage at the time. My Brothers owned a VK Calais V8 and WB one tonner V8. I later owned a VL turbo Manual SL, VS Statesman V8, VT 9C1 V8 and my current ride is a VE SSV that i bought from Holden in 2009. I bought my son a VY L67 Calais for his first car. Its good to see Ross passionate about these vehicles and keeping them on the road. It would be a sad day indeed if we could no longer enjoy these cars.
I think it's the colour of the car people don't like not the rims, the rims don't look to bad, maybe chuck new Holden rims on it like VF rims Or VE Rims from whatever cars and whatever rims suit the car. its already got a big downfall with the Chevy and HSV badge on it, NO. Just no lol, nice car although Man.
Really enjoyed the review of the Grange. It’s a really luxury Aussie muscle car. They definitely were a lot of money back in the day. It sounds amazing. The 0-100 for this car is also amazing for its size and weight.

the cops defected my ute less than a month after I changed the exaust, straight through 3inc with big "hotdog" in the middle. It was only a minor defect so I had 3 days to take it to an authorised mechanic then take the paperwork to the RMS and have it lifted. it ended up costing me almost $800. and all that in 3 days while I have to drive my ute for work, I don't work I don't fet paid, terrible cycle to be stuck in... it was however nice while it lasted, my misses hatted it, she'd put ear plugs in.
I am thinking of purchasing a Corvette stingray, either a 1970 or a 1977. 2 of which are my favourites, the 1970 I have a better chance to find a 454 in the hood with factory 450hp

Needs a proper exhaust and proper wheels. Still too big and heavy for my liking but I'm sure there is a market for this type of car out there. Edit: I'm pretty sure a cammed LS2 can rev to 6800rpm, so if you held it in gear during the acceleration test, it would be even faster.
Is it loud then?? We have problems in the UK with noise limits, cameras with sound meters to record and prosecute drivers of loud vehicles... just something else to dodge. You clearly enjoyed it, I am not a fan of the badge, wheels... not for me TBH. Did send you an email a while back.....
This particular Grange unfortunately looks and sounds quite clapped out IMO... I reckon, take those wheels and the Chevy badge off, and put a proper exhaust on it... Also, how would it pass roadworthy without a catalytic converter? I will admit though, everything about this particular car is crazy!
