To be accurate, there was only one genuine XA GT-HO production sedan ever built ... the other three cars were standard XA GTs converted to Phase IV spec at the Ford Special Vehicles workshop in Thomastown.
For me the rarest V8 sedan is Holden VL commodore walkinshaw and i only know about the VL walkinshaw commodore is racing on homologation Group A touring car racing in Australia in 1980s and 1990s and racing against other group A race cars like Ford Sierra cosworth and also BMW E30 M3 and also Skyline GTR R32 even more.
Glad to see you had the Lagonda, but you missed the Maserati Royale, DeTomaso Deauville and a couple of BMW-Alpina models, most notably the B8 4.6, though the B11 4.0 had only 7 units produced
If you’re going to include the firehawk, which was not really a manufacturer’s option package (more aftermarket) then you’d have to include the myriad of rare HDT cars from the 80s. HDT actually had secondary manufacturing approval (like AMG, Alpina etc) and sold completed new cars to buyers via Holden dealers. Some with low build numbers would be the VL Director, and even lower would be the Bathurst Aero. The HSV SV88 was built in low enough numbers to make it mid way on this list, but the performance side of things wasn’t that great.
@@sriley064 FPV were finished before the FGX was released, so no FPV FGXs. That’s why the motors for the FGX XR8 and limited run FGX XR8 sprints were assembled in the Geelong engine plant by Ford. They did make 30 of the T30 VN HSVs. The Top 30 HSV dealers got them. It was a repeat of what Holden & HDT did 8 years prior with the VH SL/E T30, which was fitted with the VC HDT spec engine.
@commodorenut in 1990 they pre -made all 30 and shipped them out to the top 30 hsv dealers, however in 1991 they only made them to order, and they only made 11,also not consecutive numbers, as i have no.16 Greg Ball holden also in 1990 they were white and 1991 they were dark blue metallic. Do you know which sedan is rarer? Comment below!
@RareOldCarZ07 i want to say sv88?,they only made 2,1 turbo and one v8,both in dark blue, i think it was called that
VK Group A / Group 3 only 48 made out of the 502 VK Group A. extremely rare
Ford Falcon GTHO Phase 4
My dream car to see
@raceoldcarz07 rarest sedan should be Ford T3 TL50. Only 3 ever made
The 1996 HSV GTSR Is Actually My Dream Car.
VK Blue meanie or VL Walkinshaw / Brock VL Director for me, but the profile, yellow paint with black wheels is way cool.

Arguably to most iconic but there was actually 750 walkys built so not as rare as the vn group a with 302 made and 85 of the vs gtsr
Also 50 sv 6000 and the toll and hrt vz's
I think the VL director is more rare than the walkinshaw
@jaimepettet262 No for me VL walkinshaw commodore was so much better because of racing history.
You missed out the Ford Sierra XR8
Good catch.
The Miami (supercharged) FG FPV GT-E would be one of the rarest. I’d be tipping less numbers than the GTS/R. And a lot more power.
HSV GTSR and 1972 CHRYSLER VALIANT VH CHARGER R/T E49 are my dream cars. Australia.
Caddy sts-v is damn rare.
It is, but not nearly as rare as the ones shown in this video. The numbers I saw on wikipedia for the STS-V was 2503.

Interestingly the Firehawk is based of a Chevy G8 which was itself originally a Holden Commodore
I found you didn’t list the 1999 sho 3.4 v8.
Lotus Carlton

That Holden 🔥
