Thank you for the positive feedback Dan. The plunge rate is where the bit plunges into the wood. The standard plunge rate I am used to having is =< 50% of the feed rate for the bit. Much depends on how fragile the bit you are using is. Many times you can find the recommended plunge rate for a given bit in the feed and speed rate information provided by the bit manufacturers. Hope this helps.
Thank you Rich. My next video will be to take the CNC file and transfer it to cut on my laser. I appreciate you takig the time to watch and comment. Not quite sure how you do it all.
I struggle with the tracing step. Can never get a trace on the line plus end up with several open vectors instead on of one closed vector. Do you use a mouse? I would like to see the exact process….maybe a new video.
Joe...understand the comment about tracing - which is what I fast forwarded through. I think your idea is great about a focused video on the tracing part. Will do something like that in the near future. I may do that in my live session this Thursday - which I need to get on the schedule. I think that would be perfect. Yes I normally use a mouse. Thanks for taking the tie to comment and giving me some input that may help others.
Good information .. Rob what is a normal plung rate isnt that were the bit plunges in the wood. Keep it up brother
