Haven't had a computer upgrade in 10 years, and now it's finally that time again. I've previously been looking at the M1 Macbook Pro, but decided to wait and look at other options. Since I've heard of the new Surface products, I've been really hooked-especially that I've been a PC user ever since. But that's not the point, for what do you know, when I found this video I was like, "woah, I know that guy! (also from ten years ago)"-this is such a blast from the past! I can't believe you're still making videos, even more, that you're not as big as you should be! That right there is dedication! Maybe I just haven't kept up with everything in the past decade, but of the myriad of new tech channels out there today, "Soldier Knows Best" is a name I recognize and have trusted before. So, if Soldier approves, I'm in! It's always good to see folks from the old days still broadcasting themselves. All the best and five stars for this video!

I have an intel one, mind if you could tell me how to charge. I now usually wait till the battery gone down to around 10% and then charge for 1 hour back to 100%.
I haven’t counted how long I could use it after charging but seems need to charge it more often now. I have already charge to battery safe mode. Thx

My mom got a new Surface Laptop a few months ago actually
I actually just returned a samsung galaxy book 360 pro and got the surface 4, even tho the samsung had better specs and tablet mode the surface is just built like a tank and even though they are both 13 inch my eyes were straining on the samsung, my eyes seem to prefer the surface screen format. I was scared to let me kids use the samsung cause it felt like it could break at any second but I got no worries with the surface.
Oh another thing the speakers on the galaxy book was GARBAGE. One actually blew out started making noise and thats why i returned it.
I wouldn’t have cared much about it in the past but with the state of the world in 2021, a 720p webcam just feels unacceptable. :P

Can't get the AMD version over here (Uk) in black in 13.5inch :( if you want black it's Intel only and £250 extra and you get the weaker Intel processor. Annoying.

@@jiujitsujedihe’s right. I’m a deskside technician and everyone who has these in my office has the same issues. External monitors won’t display, and WiFi intermittently dropping after upgrading to 23H2. Both the intel chip and intel wireless adapter are shitty.
Interesting. Legit first time I've ever heard anything bad about the Surface Laptop typing experience. It's class-leading by most accounts. That matte black looks quite cheap, like every random no-name Windows laptop. Doesn't do the build quality justice. Not to mention it's a fingerprint magnet. I'd definitely get one of the other colors.

Yea I think they might lean towards running macOS on the iPad before putting a touchscreen on a MacBook. We'll see what the future of these M-series chips bring.
@@SoldierKnowsBest Yup, I think we’ll end up with some sort of hybrid iPadOS / macOS on the iPad Pro line, if they don’t go full macOS.
Apple generally don't like to make compromises. The touch ability in Windows is nice to have, but it's not very good. iPad will likely replace the MacBook line in the future, where you will have an amazing touch first interface, with a huge number of applications optimized for touch specifically, but mouse and keyboard abilities when you need more of a 'laptop' mode. I think Apple's approach is far better, at least for the future.

Do not buy this crap if you want to use a 2nd screen the display output signal is not reliable. The great suggestion from MS was to try a wireless display.
Do you have any recommendations on how or what to clean the laptop with? Has fingerprints everywhere and they don't wanna come off 🥲
